I'm not sure how this will sit with many of you or what your opinions are, but what about Michael Floyd? I know he has been in some trouble, and is currently in jail I believe, but he will be out before the season. He definitely has the talent, size, but obviously there are concerns. He hasn't been as productive as he was expected, but if he gets it together and focuses on just football, he could be great again. We could use a WR like that...but he would definitely have to get his life together first and prove hes reliable. He is also only 27 years old...

If we can get him on an incentive based low risk deal then I'm all in for the reasons you mentioned. He's not a bad person or teammate. He's just a knuckle head that can't stop drinking and driving! I hope he has a good support system and becomes yet another Ravens comeback story

The Raiders game, the Giants game, the Steelers road game - in all three the O put the Ravens in the position where all we needed was the D to stop their O one more time to win - and they failed. And if the Eagles don't go for 2 at the dyiong seconds of the game, the lowly Eagles would have put the game to overtime too.
Yep, technically this is still less than "most" of our losses, but it's not true that all the other 5 losses were due purely to the O.

I would say the true image was that we had a rather pedestrian O that could seldom rise to the occasion and a very good D with a knack of giving away close games at the very end.

Well I wouldn't let the offense completely off the hook here. Although our offense finally scored a go away score, let's not act like they had good games. Against the raiders, the defense had to stop the raiders 15 times because the offense kept giving the ball right back to them. Against the Giants, our defense had to force 3 trnoveds and defend 12 drives. Against the redskins, we manager to score a total of 10 points!

If you keep giving teams the chance to take another shot at it and another and another, eventually, they'll make adjustments and it usually haunts you in the fourth quarter.

in all 3 games mentioned, we held our opponents to let points per drive than they normally average. We were lucky to not get blown out because our offense wasn't moving the ball for most of the game.

im not saying pees should be let off the hook either. We all know that the way the NFL is these days, teams rallying in the fourth get favorable calls and have favorable rules but still, you gotta hang on to some of those leads. At least half

Terrence west is not the only one that should feel fired up about this draft. LT and Allen should also thank their stars and come prepared to prove their worth. Woodhead is taking their downs and Dixon comes back week 5 so this ship is sailing with or without them.

Wow, until I read this I didn't even know LT was still on the team. No disrespect to them but neither him nor Allen will do anything with hand offs. I would say neither would make the team, but, we didn't draft a back. I see us keeping Buck for ST.
Looks like we're counting on Levine, Chuck, Allen to lead Special Teams. Which sounds great to me. Kamar was a disaster last year. I'm really hoping Camp and Webby are big contributors in that department as well.
As far as the running game goes, we'll see if we add Mangold, and we'll see how many roads the line paves. I think they can become a very very good unit if we add someone like Mangold, but it may take a month or so into the season to get there

I think losing Coach Frazier is going to hurt a lot.

I hate that loss as well. But luckily we added A LOT of bigtime talent to our secondary- TJ, Carr, Marlon, and moved Webb into a back up role
Not to mention we got rid of my 2 least favorite ravens, which were easily some of our worst secondary players ever probably. Wright and Elam.
He is an amazing coach, and unfortunately like Kubiack, he was one and done.
But the Entire defense has beefed up big time, so I really don't think it'll hurt much

Take a breath,no one except New England wins the Super Bowl in May.Our Offense still is in the mourn-ing wig mode. Flacco needs a run tough 0-line that can make defenses think run on almost every snap so his play action deep throws can come back as good as when we(he) stopped using them because he was on his back too many times before&after mind numbing boring sam'ol,sam'ol ineffective running schemes.Mourn-ing wig is rather vanilla in his play calling schemes,a West Coast offense would be great,if we had a West Coast offense make up. 7-9 looking up at Steelers and Bengals on top. Patriots WIN!

They have a pretty good record of winning it in Feb as well.

10/10

HA. Bummer you think that. I would go bet on it as I thought it was 10/10

I hope these guys are quick learners. I'd like to see us disguise our Defenses like we used to, with everyone moving around until the ball snaps. Never knowing where the rush is coming from. We have the tools but do they have the smarts? We'll see.

We definitely have the tools. Deepest and most talented D in the league now. Seattle and Houston has nice personnel as well. Besides Joe coming back from his Knee to soon, and Wright being on the team, the players weren't the problem last year.
We'll see what the coaches bring to the table this year. I'm not holding my breath, but anything will be better than last year

Which is such a shame because we invested two 4th round picks on them and a lot of playing time! In the meantime guys like Demarco Murray got traded for a 4th round swap.

LT showed some promise but kept getting hurt! And Buck. Well il be nice and not comment on that lol

mangold would be a perfect fit. I don't know why the hold up?

Its funny how you conveniently said its gonna take a month or so. Of course they gonna look better when Dixon is back. I reserve judgement on Dixon until I see it myself. "Juicers" usually don't come back to 100 percent untill a year later when they go off the random test list. Just saying. I was on Dixons bandwagon all year but now I'm waaaaay of that wagon till he proves otherwise.

Forward to the 2018 draft. The Ravens select a RB in the first round. One can dream right ;)

Looking at the team right now, going wr and rb in rounds 1 and 2 next year, in either order sounds great to me.
