[News] Highlights Of All 7 Ravens Draft Picks

21 posts in this topic

Hmm... I watched the memphis tape for Bowser and I don't think he was effective at all. He couldn't shed blocks or get penetration and he didn't seem all that persistent on plays. But, again that;s just me watching him for the first time. I'm sure the Ravens front office has watched a ton of tape on this guy and know he's really good enough to warrant pick #47

I watched the tape on Chuck Clark. I didn't see him any of the plays except an ole' wiff. Who ever made that tape for Chuck didn't do him any favors.

Humphrey, Williams, Wormley and Siragusa look to have a good shot at contributing right away.  Williams could be special, if he can stay out of trouble.

They were all great picks. I can't wait to scream GOOSE again.

I am sure they watched lots of tape on Arthur brown too. And Elam. I guess you dont know until they get out there and play, but I am extremely underwhelmed by most of the selections again this year. I am going to go out on a limb and say if Cleveland gets average line play and can find a QB who is adequate, we may finish last in the north.

Cleveland is going to be our main competition in a few years over Pitt. Pitt will fall off drastically when Ben Retires. Cincy will forever be that middle of the pack team with Marvin Lewis and their Ownership. They never spend on free agents and always have plenty of cap room to do so.

I feel like we have stacked our defense, but it is hard to see how our offense will be much better in 2017 unless we feed dixon. Our running game is bad, and our pass pro was a weakness due to the lack of balance. We never got anything done in the Redzone last year.

It's possible the free agent market is the key for improving that side of the ball.

Free agency may be the only way to improve the offense, but we have very little cap room to do so.   Even if one presumes we cut Watson and Arrington when they are declared healthy enough, we still have to sign all of our draft picks.  We have plenty of bodies but no clear answer at WR, C, and RT and could probably use a faster RB.

Listen guys, if the other team cant score, they cant win!! I see a heavy rotation of suggs, judon, tim williams, and bowser to keep our guys fresh and in hunting mode. Our secondary is gonna be our strength this year vs every year after Ed left town. Im beginning to see Oz's plan...defense wins championships, offense sells tickets. Well, Im from Arkansas and i'm getting my ticket to come to the bank this year!!!

Tim Williams might be the star of the draft playing next to CJ.

That or will be the first in John's Dog House. Taking bets who that will be!

these highlights stink they don't make any of these guys look like studs

Yep, I saw nothing that showed impressive coverage skills from our #1 pick...looks like he can tackle. But if these are the highlights of his collegiate career, it does not look impressive at all. Same goes for the other picks. Lets wait and see.

I think it's clear that the plan is to move Alex Lewis to right tackle, have Ronny on the left and Yanda at RG. Now we have a slew of interior OL that can play guard or center: Urshel, Jensen, Elemenour, Siragusa. I think the OL will be fine.
WR is definitely another story but I can see us reverting back to a power running game with far fewer passes. That brings the opposing defense up into the box and then we burn them deep with our outside speed on play action. You can rely mostly on Campanero and the tight end group to move the chains on 3rd and short. Just pray that we don't find ourselves in many 3rd and long situations.

It seems to be difficult to find Chuck Clark tape that looks anything like a highlight reel..interesting considering he managed to get over 200 tackles in the last 2 seasons
