Always at least 1 UDFA to make the roster.. this year I think it could be as many as 3-4! Ortiz at fullback, Bam at ILB, and Tim White as a return man

Of of the players on the list , I think Tim White due to return ability may have the edge. It's also a warning shot to Campanero if he can't remain healthy.

We will have a vintage defense and knock a few guys around this year. Wallace and Perriman need 1000 yards to prove to be number one. They won't have any competition except for that between them.

I watched highlights never hearing of any of these guys. Quincy from ole miss look to pass the eye test, as does white. They both have as much if not quicker cutting ability and feet than Campanaro. I think either of them could make the roster on ST ability and slot receiver. I am sure Camp will go down with a pulled quad on the first day of training camp and be sitting all season again, so the door is wide open.

I think Camp knows hes on thin ice. He has been in the league for 3 years and has only managed to play in 11 games. He was released from the team last year and we brought in Danny Woodhead who has a similar skill set. Im rooting for the guy but its definitely going to be an uphill battle. Interestingly enough when we released him last year both NE and Den showed some interests. Which could mean that if he doesn't make the squad he may still have a chance somewhere else unless of course the reason that we let him go was due to injury.

Yea I wouldn't mind bringing in Will Likely as well.  I know in the past we have at least tried to give the hometown guys tryout.

I think that Wallace and Perriman are our numbers one and two in consecutive order. After that, who wouldn't like to see Q in there at slot after a last minute deal? By letting Aiken walk, we opened the door to the other remnants of last year's draft to step up or ride the metal bench for most of the year. Still, we will have need on STs.

Does anyone know if Jon Toth has sigend with another team? He was one of the mid-to-late round Centers mocked to the Ravens in quite several mocks. I klnow he went undrafted - but I don't know if he's still available or ha been signed by another team as an UDRFA...

Ozzie has had no success in drafting WRs... maybe he will do better with undrafted players.

... or by veteran acquisitions... Contrary to his general failure to draft good WR's, he's had quite a success bringing in vested veteran blood... It's enough to think of Quadry Ismail, Derrick Mason, Boldin, Steve Smith and Wallace... and even Houshmanzadeh had his purple-and-gold moments (last minute winning TD catch in Pittsburgh... anybody?). Lee Evans was the odd-one-out...
So, mayb missing out on the top WR's in the draft won't hurt that much if he can bring in another veteran via a trade or waiver wire...
Or maybe Boldin... Though I guess he'll get a more lucrative offer from closer to his Florida home...

Honestly I hope that Kenny Bell makes this team - I really, really liked him coming out of the draft 2 years ago. He made a ton of plays at Nebraska. Hopefully he spent the last 2 seasons improving and breaks out this year with us similar to how Aiken did.

As far as I can remember, he wasn't really a factor in Tampa Bay...

Ah, I hoped we'd haul in LB Ben Boulware (he signed with the Panters) - wouldn't it have been the perfect throwback to have Siragusa and Boulware back in Baltimore? :D

We had no chance of signing him once the Panthers got involved, they're his boyhood team apparently.

What happened? I thought we must be the most desirable team formost UDFAs' and their agents? Did our scouts get outmaneuvered by other teams for the cream of the crop?

I'm not sure what you are talking about. Were there specific players that it was known we were shooting for that gave us the cold shoulder and went elsewhere? If there was no one specifically stated by the team that we sought and missed out on, then I don't see how we got outmaneuvered by another team.

That is .. unless you're saying you know who the cream of the crop is and we didn't get any of them. I find that really hard to believe, given that only the most plugged in people who have 18 hours a day for 6 months to devote to player evaluation even know who half of these guys are.

I still think Oz adds a veteran RB and WR he will be watching cap casualties very closely. For now the Ravens have much to work with and evaluate. O-line might just be ok without adding outside NFL experience.

Dixon can practice all the way up to game 1, I believe - which obviously he will do. The Running schemes will be much more important now with Woodhead on the team. He is a position specialist who will demand better play execution.

WR im not sure that the Ravens enter the season with a weak Running Game for the first 4 games. Certainly not just because of draft. So therefore I cannot see them entering the season without another seasoned NFL WR, even with all of the young talent.

Looks like to some decent young prospects, often UFA get a short look at camp in the first year, will they keep developing both in camp and on their own?

I know he was IR'ed pretty much his whole rookie season - IDK how he was doing his rookie offseason prior to his injury.

Looks like we still have plenty of room to add more players to the 90 man roster.  Here's the latest list from nfltraderumors.  If correct, we still have at least 5 openings.

Ravens

  1. Quincy Adeboyejo/WR/Ole Miss
  2. Kwade Miller/OL/San Diego State
  3. Zach Terrell/QB/Western Michigan
  4. Pat Ricard/DT/Maine
  5. Omarius Bryant/DT/Western Kentucky
  6. Brandon Kublan/OL/Georgia
  7. Kenny Allen/P/Michigan
  8. C.J. Board/WR/UT Chattanooga
  9. Tim Patrick/WR/Utah
  10. Mitch Leidner/QB/Minnesota  (tryout)
  11. Derrick Nelson/C/Rutgers (tryout)
  12. Theron Wilson/WR/Northwood (invite)

Nelson is local too and Ravens need centers. This is where Ozzie makes his money but they still need coached up. I can't wait for the first preseason game to see who stands out. You could tell Orr was special how quick he responded side to side.

Zach Terrell is all over the Patriots Websites. Ravens next QB needs to be quick release type especially with all these new passrushers coming in the league.

Awesome! This means if all goes well we can keep all of our current players. Or at the least it'll give them more space to fill the roster with playmakers.
