A Few Reminders/requests

1) Don't quote the trolls. That just makes us have to delete your post, too. Have a little pity on the Mods.

2) While it is perfectly acceptable to criticize our players and coaches, that MUST be done in a respectful fashion. No name calling, cussing, or total bashing is allowed.

3) Don't bait the trolls. The "no smack" rule applies to everyone, not just visitors.

4) And finally, PLEASE don't fight fire with fire. It is not okay to answer smack with smack. It is not okay to defend your opinion by attacking another poster. Use the "Report" feature if you see an inappropriate post and let a Mod take care of it.

And can we cut down on all the duplicate threads in here!!! I know I have mistakenly done so myself, and started a duplicate thread, but we need to give the mods a break merging 3 differents threads on the same topic. I think this is getting out of hand these days...it didn't used to be.

Yeah, and I don't know if this is in the rules, but every time someone signs up, they like make a new thread just to introduce them selves. Maybe we should have a sticky of an introduction thread, because at least 10 times, I've seen threads like that.

NO SMACK goes both ways. You'll see a bunch of closed threads because of it. Let's leave the state of the cities and the appearance/behavior of the fans out of it. Stick to football, please.

whats the difference between closing a thread and deleting a thread

what is the factor that makes you choose one over the other

I think deleting is when there is something wrong going on ex: spamming, innaproppriate, etc. Closing is when we either get off topic, or we're directing posts at each other, or it's been asked before. Just a guess, but I think that's fairly accurate.

If the thread is nothing but name calling and smack the whole thing is moved, duplicates are usually merged and its locked if it gets off topic or is heading "there" . Spam goes right to the trash.
