[News] Round 6 (No. 186): Ravens Select Virginia Tech DB Chuck Clark

Well Ozzie and Self Righteous John really screwed the pooch this year. Thank God this is their last year. Too bad the Ravens are stuck with the albatross, Pathetic Joe. Pittsburgh's gotta be over their laughing their arses off. Cleveland will finally be able to get out of the cellar this year.

I would like to hear how they screwed the pooch? They got really, really good picks at every level. Even this one for ST. Just because they didn't get the players that many thought we needed, doesn't mean everything is doomed. I love this time of year because it is exciting but we have so many people calling it this coming season over before we even have had a practice. This stuff gets old fast. Yes, I too would have liked earlier round offensive picks but we have a good amount of TEs and speedy WRs. Maybe they plan to run a 3 TE set, who knows. Maybe they can have pitta go out to slot WR/TE while 2 of the others boyle/williams/gilmore are at the line. Maybe they want to go ground and pound AFC North football again. Maybe Waller will go back to WR his more natural position. There is many possibilities that can happen in which we would be okay. So give it time and lets see what happens before sticking our hands in the air saying I surrender. If you want to do that go be a Browns fan. I particularly liked our picks. We got great value at every pick IMO. Also everyone riding Joe Flacco, yes he needs to elevate his game no doubt but name me a QB we can get who would be able to replace him right now? He is our guy and we have to support him and hope for the best. LETS GO RAVENS!!!

I think we had a pretty good draft considering we only had seven picks this year. We got a nice infusion of youth to go with our vets, now is the time to maximize the second and third year players.

They brought "PHYSICALITY" to our secondary! Ozzie played with a physical secondary in Cleveland and it was the secondary that started the whole Dawg Pound thing and Ozzie and Co. got our secondary on that level! I'm jus sayin! Hope they don't get a lot of flags because it will be some hitting going on Lol!
Welcome to the Flock C.C.

Sure tackler with decent speed for special teams and an outside shot at plugging in on defense in the future. Not a bad pick per the board perhaps, but certainly not one tied to a position of need which has most folks upset. Reality is, a WR, RB, or OL picked in the 6th likely wouldn't make the roster at those positions, and would probably be a lesser ST contributor.  Hey may have been the best ST-er available on the board.

The net effect of this draft is that this is another year of 'rebuilding' the team for the future. Some may be impatient and want it all right away, but that rarely happens.

While it's true the team doesn't yet have all it needs to make a run this year, these players are building blocks for the future. It's going to be a multi-year program that brings success.

jackson is still available. maybe we can bring in both jackson and Q and bring back some attitude to the offense at least for this season. hehehe. not sure if boldin is still sour about being traded away.

If those options fall through maybe we could trade ESPN Ben Watson for Steve Smith.
