[News] Round 6 (No. 186): Ravens Select Virginia Tech DB Chuck Clark

4th&5th rd picks will make or break Raven's offense this year. O-line must make Joe stay up and get running room for RBs. Good luck that o-line coach has diamonds to polish not clay to mold. Will Joe rework his contract to give Ozzie more cap space to get WR and o-line vet experience?

Joe reworking his contract to create cap space? Yeah right.

I guess Marty knows where he stands. Looks like FO has put him on the chopping block. If Offense is disappointing again it will be on him. Not to mention John's buddy is responsible for O-line and their decline since he's been on board.

aside from drafting a punter/kicker, our 6th &7th rd picks have never offered anything to the team. wish the front office would pkg them in the future to move up in some rnd to grab a player we have targeted. we missed out on some of the top lineman when they all got drafted back to back to back when offering up the late rnd picks would have moved us up enough to get one of them. very concerned about the center position. even if we sign mangold he has had injury issues the past 2 years so no guarantee he lasts the whole season. maybe jensen has really shown them something

I feel very good with this draft. We are use to having more picks, so we were limited on moves.

I know we all want more potential  help at WR. I hope the Ravens are ready to invite Tim Patrick from Utah Utes a, s an "Undrafted Free Agent", if he he is not drafted. I live in Utah and I believe at his size and speed he could work his way into our backup rotation. Injuries have hurt his time on field, but no risk at undrafted free agent.

Who is "John's buddy" that is responsible for the O Line?

Since no modern day starting QB has ever taken less money than what was agreed upon in his contract, I would say no. It always going to be the same answer for you guy. Whether you are asking if we could trade Joe to Cleveland for their first round picks this year, or If we could just cut Joe and pick up Jay Cutler and Alshon Jeffery the answer to all of your questions is always going to be NO.

Only smart "vet" would be "Nick Mangold" as the center controls the line of scrimmage. We don't need old players to take time from our current potential players.

We only here what commentators tell us. we are not in practice every day and could have good players waiting for there turn!

Well depth is important. No one is consistently picking starters in the 6th and 7th rounds, that just the nature of the beast. And the amount of spots that you would be able to move up by trading 6s and 7s is negligible. Its easy to say that we should have moved up to grab one of those OL in hindsight, but no one could have anticipated the run OL leading up to our pick. But the roster isnt set there are a lot of options out there. Your Mangolds and Boldins and also it looks like there is going to be some pretty good interior lineman that we might be able to pick up that aren't going to be drafted. Maybe the Browns would be willing to throw us a couple draft picks if we take Cam Erving off their hands. lol Unfortunately his performance with us wouldn't be any different to what it was with the Browns but I would take those picks lol.

Time to start courting Boldin considering we have one legitimate WR on the roster in Mike Wallace.

Thats a possibility. There will also be some UDFAs that could be intruding. But if the FO thought it was neccessary there are teams with way too many WR on their roster so we could go that route. The Eagles WR core looks pretty bloated at the moment. There are also other vets out there besides Q. I dont think V Jackson has signed with a team yet.

jackson is still available. maybe we can bring in both jackson and Q and bring back some attitude to the offense at least for this season. hehehe. not sure if boldin is still sour about being traded away.

This guy was likely picked specifically for ST. Sometimes we forget that 1/3 part of the game. It's just as important.

I think that Ozzie said that he would contribute on ST. I think though that a draft spot shouldn't be wasted on a so called ST player. Using the BPA philosophy one has to think that there are better players than that in the 6th round.

Well Ozzie and Self Righteous John really screwed the pooch this year. Thank God this is their last year. Too bad the Ravens are stuck with the albatross, Pathetic Joe. Pittsburgh's gotta be over their laughing their arses off. Cleveland will finally be able to get out of the cellar this year.

On receivers: Williams, Davis, Ross were gone in the top 10 for round 1. By their pick in round 2 I think pass rusher was BPA. I think it's 6 in one hand and half dozen in the other. They need to get a better pass rush, improve secondary, and oline. Can't solve everything with 7 picks.

On TE: If they take OJ Howard, then where do you get a top CB to cover the better receivers in the division? If you think Carr ,Young , and often injured Smith are answers, I think you are fooling yourself. Jackson, Conley, Wilson have issues in their game also.

The Wr, RB left in the mid rounds are not going to be ahead of Wallace, Perriman, Moore, Campanero or Dixon, West Woodhead. Why not address Oline, replace Guy and Jernigan.

Not sexy but maybe one of their better overall drafts in years IMO.
