Jalen robinette is a interesting WR. He's raw but got hands for days. That sucks he can't get cleared to play from the Air Force. I guess quarterbacks gets treated differently (Keenan)

Jerod Evans, Virginia Tech QB

Speedy Noil, Texas A&M WR

 Jon Toth, Kentucky C

Devonte' Fields, Louisville OLB

William Likely, Maryland CB

Just a few interesting undrafted guys still available 👀

FYI 49ers signed Lorenzo Jerome....so upset..

Really surprised about Toth and Likely still being out there, I'm surprised Toth wasn't even drafted. Maybe both are still available because they've got lots of offers, Toth is legit and Likely is so deadly as a punt returner.

Not really surprised about any of the rest, maybe Evans because he's got potential, but he's so raw I didn't think he had a shot of being drafted aside from maybe sneaking into the 6th or 7th. It's unfortunate for Robinette, but not being able to play at all for 2 years makes it unsurprising. Some team will pick him up when his time is served I'm sure. I believe we brought in an academy guy a couple years ago for camp/preseason after he served his time - I think he was a QB that we converted to WR, but could be wrong.

This guy is a Swiss army knife of a player. TE, FB, LB & I think I saw some of him running with the ball(?). That can only help him going into camp.

It took juice a redshirt year pretty much to figure it out. He had the luxury of learning under one of the best to ever do it, in vonta leach during his rookie season. But I think juice played tightend in college if my memory is correct. We'll see if this dude picks it up quickly enough. I hope so though

Jalen robinette would be really intriguing if he could be cleared - he has enormous hands (maybe the biggest in the class at wr) and he uses them well

jon toth is surprising that he still hasn't been picked up - maybe it shows the devaluation of centers a little but he's a potential starter type which is amazing for a udfa

devonte fields unfortunately will not be coming to Baltimore because of DV issues (probably why he went undrafted in the first place)

will likely is like tavon-mini - in coverage etc he mirrors like a guy who should go in the 2nd round but he just is too small - unfortunately he's a guy that's only coming in to play as a returner because even your average slot receiver or scat-back is taller than him

For what it's worth, apparently Toth is injured and is waiting to sign until he's back to 100%.

Check out this highlight clip of the fullback, Ricky Ortiz. Pretty fun watch.

Of course we bring in a guy that can block kicks on ST too, Wormley also had 3 blocks in college. Our ridiculous amount of blocks already is just going to get better.

After checking out what I could find on some of these guys (and for some, that's absolutely nothing), Ricky Ortiz intrigues me the most because there's a clear opening for someone with his skill set.  They could opt to use Taliaferro or one of the TEs in somewhat of a quasi FB role, but I wouldn't discount this kid right now.  He does look very slow but I do like his aggressiveness and willingness to hit someone in the hole.  He does go in too high at times which really brings down his value as a lead blocker, but you can see some real strong moments there as well.  Outside of that, he seems like a very capable ST player.

I like his aggression. He looks like a Raven at least in the video.

Quincy "Attaboy" is an interesting pick up. He's big and fast and could be that move the chains guy we've been looking for.

i just watched some of him 1vs1 in practice and i can see why he went udfa - he's inconsistent and sometimes reads the corner wrong - his hands are also inconsistent but he's got good height and length and good deep speed with some decent short area quickness - he breaks well even when he reads wrong although he doesnt sell fakes particularly well at the moment - he's a nice developmental guy to have in the building and if he comes on quick then maybe there's a place for him here

I agree with your assessment. He's going to need a couple of years of coaching to make any kind of impact.

He seems like the perfect "ankle injury IR stash" for the next year or two.

absolutely - although i think there's an outside chance he could sneak onto the roster given how thin we are - (we have 4 wrs at the moment predicted to have an impact this upcoming season - i imagine we will have at least 5 on the opening day roster - may well be a vet free agent but who knows)

he's a guy who will need some work but could come on quickly because while i see a litany of issues, none of them (except the hands) are fundamentally large issues in terms of how much work they need - he's a player i could see developing into a decent 4th receiver maybe a 3rd receiver and supplementary deep threat

if he does well on special teams though, he may well get more opportunities to develop given that's likely how our 5th/6th receivers will contribute

Yeah unfortunately, the Air Force already announced they won't waive or delay Robinette's two year commitment for service. I hope he is allowed to play but both paths have been taken before (playing after that commitment). Either way, good luck to him.

That's a shame. This is going to hurt recruitment for those schools. Keenan got lucky.

According to this article Keenan may not be so lucky either, maybe too early to know. Policy was rescinded yesterday May 1, 2017 and Keenan couldn't be reached for a response as to the new orders effect on his military status.

Boy that was a fun watch. Of course, its a highlight video so it should look good... but hes got a diverse skill set. Special teams, lead blocker, looks to have big, solid hands, tough runner with the ball in his hands, solid tackler....

He might have a good chance of making this team. Way to early to say this, and again a highlight video may not be the best resource to base this on, but he looks like he could be a perfect replacement for Juice. Juice is almost definitely the better player, but i think we underutilized him here -- so not saying hes as good as Juice or can do all the things Juice can; but in terms of the role we used Juice for this kid seems to have all the necessary ability to do so.

And its not like itd be a huge shock to find a really good FB in UDFA. Only a handful of teams use them anymore, and those that do tend to have one they like -- so the potential for a FB to be drafted isnt really that great. So, its not hard to believe you could have the best college FB signing post-draft, and one with the ability to step in day 1 to contribute.

EDIT: Interesting tidbit... apparently Ortiz has a decent fallback option if football doesnt work out. He's also an avocado farmer.

In 7th grade he and his friend decided they wanted to own their own business. The friends father apparently made a fortune as a sugar cane farmer; and helped the two boys purchase 150 acres of land in Mexico which they turned into an avocado farm. Proving to be a pretty brilliant idea with the recent surge in popularity and uses of avocado.

The friend and father handle to farming aspect, while Ortiz manages the business side (sales, marketing, accounting, etc..).

Interesting cat for sure.

jalen robinette might be a decent option anyway if he's allowed to come to training camp (not sure how it would work) but if not then essentially the military is ruining his career before it's started because in two years he'll be the forgotten man - they really should allow military guys to do their 2 years and then enter the draft... rather than enter the draft and not be able to play for 2 years

theyd probably run into the same issues -- after 2 years of service with no football, i think itd be hard for a team to use a draft pick on them. Just like its hard to invest a pick in a guy youre only going to get 2 years on a rookie deal, and thats after 2 years of no competitive football.

youre right in that itd probably be better to enter the draft after the service commitment bc at least then youre getting 4 years... but still unlikely theyll get drafted.
