2017 NFL Draft Day 3 "Game Thread"

Profootball focus had this say about Chuck Clark" the Ravens plan for life after Eric Weddle by selecting reliable, versatile, defensive back Chuck Clark. He can drop down and cover the slot or align inside the box and wreck plays around the line of scrimmage. Clark recorded solid grades both in coverage (82.5) and against the run (76.2)"

Just a really solid player.

Very instinctive and a sound tackler. He plays well enough and doesn't get duped by bunch formations or combo routes. Could play both safety spots because he has the mentality to come downhill and hit and has the range to play over the top.

Easily fooled by play action because he's too active, is not very big, and isn't the best to just turn and run in phase.

Essentially very solid depth who could spot start or be a third safety based on instincts alone, but likely won't ever be a starter due to size and athletic limitations.

Appreciate it. Sounds like ST guy all the way. Should have picked his team mate.

Who did you want?

Honestly by now I think I probably missed him being picked, there's no way he's still on the board. Everyone's probably over hearing it lol but I really wanted S Lorenzo Jerome on this team. He would've immediately stepped in as our returner as well.

To be fair. Chuck Clark has been pretty productive. Can never have too many DBs!!!! Its a 6th round pick so im nit worried. We'll make it up with another UDFA making our 53 man roster again lol

I disagree with them to say the least, this guy was taken to be a STer through and through

Now I just can't wait for the draft to end so we can start loading up on UDFAs.  I think we have room for 17 (if my math hasn't failed me).

18 when we cut arrington lol

poor final pick. He'll be out of the league soon.

My grades

M.Humphrey : D ( Not D as in he can't play, Just not good value taking into account the more well-rounded corners in the draft. If this were a second round pick i'd have given it a B)

T.Bowser :  B+ ( Explosive but raw, Jamie collins potential)

C.Wormley: B+ ( better than urban or guy IMO and high floor)

T.Williams A+ ( Stud)

N.Siragusa A (Pro Bowl potential)

J.Elumenaour C- ( Backup)

C.Clark F ( out of the league)

Draft grade: B

If we had taken another one of the top corners and traded back this would be an A grade class.

I think I agree with your grades except for Marlon. I would give that pick a C for the same exact reason you cited, except I elevate his grade to a B when looking at the draft as a whole. Other than that I agree with your grades except Eluemenaur I would give a C because he'll be depth for us and Chuck Clark a C as well because he'll be a valuable back up and special teams guy.

From NFL.com of Chuck Clark:
"I guess you like him more than me because I think he's JAG (just a guy). He's instinctive but what else? I don't see anything special. To me, he's a backup who will always be looking over his shoulder for his roster spot." -- NFC Director of Player Personnel

I don't know who's puppy Clark kicked but they certainly aren't a fan of him.

Any receivers on that invite list? I don't think bug hunter gets drafted... He's Worth a look

Yeah I can't say I'm mad about Eluemunor, people expected him to go a little higher cause he has potential and we needed O-line

I Love how mad some people are getting, Irs very comical to me. I'm stoked about our draft

It's pretty hilarious. Like 6th rounders are really going to make or break a draft.

Maybe Ozzie now trades a future pick to come back and take WR like he did with Camp?

I was just thinking about that. Some of the guys left would be pretty great value.

Probably but I think they may just trade for  a veteran receiver such as Jordan Matthews.

Yeah guys like that will always have an good chance at making the roster. Can do a lot worse with a 6th round pick

I'm mad that we passed up on Ford, but at the same time I can't hate Clark. He seems like a solid player.

If we wanted to go defense again I would've taken Ejuan Price though.

Yeah.  I'm not going to freak out over a 6th rounder.  Not like we drafted a kicker in the 5th or something.

Yea, I get that everyone has players they wanted, but sometimes we forget just how important role players are, because they aren't the sexy pick

Nah, he catches some tough ones but tends to always drop the most important pass.

if we managed to snag marshon lattimore this draft would have been the best in years.

I still need someone to convince me how M. Humphrey is the 2nd best corner in this draft..i've been watching even more tape and i still see a SS thats been played out of position at corner.

we dont need anymore safties
