Welcome to Baltimore, LB Tyus Bowser

Ya'll already know this is one of my prospect crushes this year, so I'm pumped!  A versatile, athletic piece that should be able to play all over our LB group.  Consider me the president of the fan club!

at the position i would have been more pumped for tim williams or carl lawson but getting an edge rusher is pretty great in any case

I'm glad we got him.  He's got a huge upside and I like his athleticism.  it's about time we got some speed and athleticism at the Edge defender position.  I see him a a true edge player who can rotate behind Suggs.

A good version of Correa. He's gonna be a beast. Explosive as all hell, plays with a great motor, more developed than some think as a pass rusher. We had 0 pass rush towards the end of the season last year. That was a huge reason as to why we lost to the Steelers. Hopefully Bowser helps us again

Also. What a great name for a pass rusher.

Any highlight? Strengths weaknesses

brilliant in coverage as a 3-4 olb prospect, didnt have as many edge rushing opportunities as i would have liked on film but he's certainly a high upside pick

Well, last year I was very excited when in the 2nd round we selected a raw, athletic pass rusher with some good tape indicating high upside. Then we moved him to ILB for reasons still beyond me, and kept him there when he predictably struggled, and finally showed a little something when he went back outside.

Hope this is not deja vu.

He should you something when he went outside? Sounds sketchy

I'm having a major case of deja vu. The scouting reports are pretty similar.

How are you feeling now that we got Tim Williams in the 3rd?

Suggs is on his last legs and ZDS is ZDS. Judon was really the only decent passrusher we had. Adding Bowser and Williams is huge, and should really help.stop.those blown leads.

I loved this pick.

For those having deja vu with Correa.... of course there are similarities but Bowser is very different.

Hes a much smoother and more natural athlete. He's got good bend, fluid hips and incredible footwork. Correa is much more stiff and is no where near Bowser in terms of coverage ability.

Bowsers awareness is really good for an OLB.

I think he's going to actually bring more value as a coverage match up weapon early on than pass rush -- though he's got the upside to become one of the better ones.

This is a guy that if you really liked Reddick for us at 16 -- you're going to love this pick. Very similar impact on the game and skill set... not quite the pass rusher Reddick is at this point though bigger and better in coverage.

The difference between Correa and Bowser is rather large. Outside the athletic specimen requiring development, their similarities aren't many. Correa came from Boise State, who notoriously does strange stuff with their defenders. Correa never really developed and I typically hate their defenders. Only Lawrence has succeeded as far as I recall. Bowser can actually disengage, too. Correa struggles at that

Still pumped my guy is actually a Raven. Not a typical Ravens type of guy but I'm glad they've seemingly adjusted and took a player built for today's NFL. I'm still a full believer that he's Jamie Collins 2.0
