as day 2 options they are all guys id want - not sure id want them all at 47 though - dan feeney is probably higher on my list than pat elflein, and if any of the corners fall to us at 47 we might have to take them (although i fully expect a run on dbs at the beginning of the 2nd)

Forrest lamp

dion dawkins

cam robinson

zay jones

tyus bowser

Malik McDowell

can't think of anyone else off the top of my head

and in that order.

I like dion dawkins a lot because I see him as a more natural RT than either Forrest or cam

I like the flexibility available to us in the next couple of rounds when it comes to selecting a wide receiver, pass rusher & offensive lineman.

on my board right now (obviously not a board of any significance but it helps remind me how i value players) the next 15 reasonably valued guys are:

Tim Williams, Cam Robinson, Forest Lamp, Malik Mcdowell, Quincy Wilson, Carl Lawson, Budda Baker, Zach Cunningham, Juju-Smith Schuster, Chidobe Awuzie, Zay Jones, Kevin King, Jordan Willis, Dan Feeney, Tyus Bowser

but what's promising are there are likely other guys in the mix for other teams as well: Joe Mixon, Dalvin Cook, Alvin Kamara, Deshone Kizer, Davis Webb, Fabian Moreau (would have included him above if not for the injury- it knocks him slightly for me now that we have one), Sidney Jones, Obi Melifonwu, Teez Tabor, Cordrea Tankersley, Pat Elflein, Marcus Williams, maybe a tight end as well...

I really want Lamp or Robinson. Feeney or Dawkins would be good too. Zay and Samuel are the receivers I'd consider. Lawson, Williams, Bowser and Willis on the edge. I'd guess there's a decent chance we trade down

I agree with you about Dion Dawkins, he would be the power blocker we need for our run game.

For some reason I'm more excited for today's 2nd and 3rd round. I guess because there's a bunch of talent still sitting on the board. Also because we got 3 more picks today.

Lamp and cam are both clear cut better power run blockers but I don't think either of them are an OT, they both need to be put at guard. Dion dawkins however looks like a day one RT and a swing guard in a pinch.

I do wonder if the talk of lamp playing C Is true though. Ive heard rumblings that he's capable. In that case he is my clear cut 1

I expect Lamp and Cam to be 33 and 34

it sounds like the packers are trying to trade back to a qb needy team to come up and grab deshone kizer... i cant think who it might be though

im trying to work it out in my head - it's probably not the jets, it could be the 49ers, it could be the saints given that it sounds like they were high on patrick mahomes which is why the chiefs jumped up ahead of them, it could also maybe be the bills or the cardinals - but i dont know why any of them would trade up with green bay given that there's no real threat to take a qb unless teams are trying to get ahead of the 49ers...

Everybody list your 10 best players in order that will be best players and help ravens the most. Here's everybody's opportunity to say you believe ravens pick was the BPA and best player to help ravens the most. And so everybody can't say ravens pick was the best player after the ravens picked him. Who are your top 10 players next 2rounds. If you don't say it now then nobody should believe you when you say it after we pick him

Good job guys. I see not many members are participating in this. Because then can't say whomever we pick was the bpa. Most members are going to wait until the ravens pick then proclaim he was their Best player ravens could pick. And will help team better than anybody else

So is cooper kupp not considered a second round talent anymore? Seems like he's slid a bit and is looked at as more of a third round guy..

who knows. That seems to be the media consensus -- that hes behind guys like Zay Jones, Juju, Godwin, Curtis Samuel and maybe even some like Carlos Henderson, Amara Darboh... just depends on who you trust.

But judging by the fact that, as usual, theres a ton of prospects that nfl teams are viewing far differently than most in the media... i wouldnt be surprised to see him the next WR off the board or dropping to the 4th round.

Everyone on this board... dont care how much they watch tape and evaluate prospects on their own (myself included) base our rankings on the media guys... bc we want to be right so we try to align with the people we respect and think are connected and mimic what teams actually think.

Maybe not exactly down to a tee, but we all put guys within a range that makes sense or fits in with the popular narrative.

For example I absolutely love Ahkello Witherspoon... but why then do i mock him in the 3rd? Hes among my favorite CBs in this draft, prob top 5-7 and those guys are all projected to go by early 2nd. So why wouldnt he? Bc the group think says so... so instead i say hes a steal of a 3rd rounder.

We all do this. Lamp was a guy everyone liked as a prospect... but it wasnt until the last month taht people thought he was consideration for 16, and crazy that some even hoped for it. There wasnt a single soul taht felt that way 2-3 months ago and certainly not in December.  But he moved up in all the media mocks, so if you like him as a prospect, you convinced yourself -- hey, hed be a good pick at 16.

If every mock had Humphrey going in the Top 10 like most NFL teams felt he would -- everyone, you included -- would be totally fine with the pick.

Whether you want to admit it or not, or realize -- you pick the players you like and dont like.... but how you perceive their value and what are "good picks" and "bad picks' is heavily tied to what the media tells you.

Because reality says that the mocks are almost always wrong and picks that seem crazy bad value end up being great and ones that are celebrated suck every.single.draft.

So there is no real set in stone "good value" and "bad value". The ONLY measure is how these players turn out. Thats the only thing that will determine a good pick and a bad one. And considering no ones played a single down yet, we dont know what the good and bad picks are.

So if youre saying its a horrible pick.... all youre really saying is "the media didnt predict, and i didnt expect this -- so its bad."

plus this threads been open for like 20 minutes. thats why not many have posted players, not bc theyre scared that you'll hold them to the standard of the media mocks.

and this is probably going to get merged into the other day 2 thread, bc i started almost an identical one last night posting my top guys available and it got merged.

Dalvin cook.... hmmm no one talking about him. I wouldn't be upset with the pick but I could imagine our FO making it at 47th. Then again I think another team might grab him before us. Just weird how no one is talking about him. Maybe it's his fumble issues? Idk

Off the field issues.  Lots of them.

Be great if we got a pass rusher in the second and Feeney and Eflein in the third. This may be my dream scenario. Have Yanda move to RT like @GrimCoconut suggested.

Tbf while I would have never taken Humphrey over oj Howard, he would have been in my top 20. I haven't made a definitive board in months but I'd have a hard time believing he'd be much lower than 16(that of course Is discounting qbs, so my value vs where players are taken differ greatly)

Maybe because he's had dv issues and animal cruelty issues and has been a plain idiot off the field
