You did literally say in yesterday's draft thread that you base your opinion on highlights and "expert" opinions, so...that's not much "research"

Not like I pick one expert and then say "oh okay." lol Or watch one highlight and say "oh okay".

And not like it isn't 50/50 from those who do follow college ball on the pick either.

I don't hate the pick, I just think it was a reach at #16.

I woudn't knock it at 74, he was my top CB in the draft before the injury

I don't think it's out of the question.  I'm going to guess they're going for a pass rusher though.  Think there are just enough left for us to get one in our range.  OL would be my other consideration in round 2.

Round 3, I expect BPA within reason.  No specific positions in mind.

I really want Lamp but I think there's a snowball's chance he makes it to us.  He would be a great pick for me.  I'm not a big fan of Robinson but I wouldn't even argue him as our 2nd round pick TBH. I do want a pass rusher really really bad though.  We're definitely going to need to take a pass rusher with our second or our first 3rd round pick.

I've got my mini-big board ready

Zay Jones (reminds me of Deandre Hopkins)
Forrest Lamp (probably unrealistic to fall)
Melifonwu (probably going to the Seahawks, but if not, he's an intriguing H/W/S prospect)
Tanoh Kpassagnon (5T DE who needs development, but has a high ceiling)
Tim Williams (Could be a great DPR or a drug suspension bust)
Budda Baker (undersized FS)
JuJu Smith-Schuster (Boldin clone)
Tyus Bowser (ideal rush-LB, needs development, high ceiling)
Carl Lawson (ideal rush-LB with first round talent and extensive injury problems)
Malachi Dupre (I think he's very underrated due to LSU's OC and QB problems, guy gets open and makes tough catches)
Zach Cunningham (ILB who excels in pass coverage but is a bit lightweight to take on blockers)
Jordan Willis (undersized DPR)
Cam Robinson (if they see him as a LG, an ok pick)
Ahkello Witherspoon (good corner with great length)
Sidney Jones (first-round corner before achilles tear)
Kareem Hunt (love his balance and ability to get yards after contact, reminds me of Dixon tbh)
Cooper Kupp (white guy slot receiver with some size)
Pat Elflein (fits our blocking scheme more than Pocic, and we need a C)

I really don't want Wormley unless it's day 3, but he's projected round 2 in many drafts... He's the type of underwhelming high-character guy we're stuck on drafting lately.

Also don't want Mixon or Dalvin Cook for character reasons. McDowell I've decided I don't want based on character unless it's late.

That's who I was thinking.  Shoot, I would even strongly consider King if he's still there at our 2nd round pick.  Imagine having a secondary of King, Smith, Humphrey, Carr and Young.  Wow.  That's just CBs, too.

That's why I consider OL as more of a consideration, because I'm not sure one of those top guys actually makes it down to us.  With the way the OL board fell, I'd be much more inclined to hope someone like Dion Dawkins is around at our first 3rd.

Yeah, Jones would be a great get for me.  I love that kid.  If he is there at our 3rd round pick I would strongly consider him.  It would be hard to pass on him.  He also has those balls skills--serious ball skills.

Yep, I like a lot of these guys for us.  Williams is a guy I am iffy on but I like him.  I'd throw Derek Rivers in this group, too.  Rivers and Willis are two of my top guys for us at OLB as well as Bowser.

Yeah that and Pittsburgh just got Watt and CLE drafted Garrett and you know our entire division will likely draft at least another pass rusher in this draft.

Remember guys and gals, no matter how slow, lol (we all wish they would speed it up, BUT) no jumping picks before they are announced on TV!

So if they weren't in a specified section they then lose any right to an opinion based on their own research? Right.

You've done no research, you said as much yesterday

Your first mistake was listening to the so called experts. They are there for entertainment and have very little actual knowledge. Also, someone or something is worth what someone will pay for it. An antiques dealer can say something is worth $10,000 but customers will only pay $5,000 that is what it is worth. Draft "experts" can say players are ranked as they believe but it is how teams value them that sets where they are drafted. Technically no player is a reach and no player really falls down the board. What you are whitnessing is all of the "experts" being proven wrong. Nothing more.
