And the same ones screaming draft offense are crying when Jimmy goes down and the defense gets no pressure while guys run wide open down field.

That's because your defense shouldn't completely disappear because of ONE GUY> That is just an excuse for Pees. If Suggs goes down, oh it's not Pees' fault the defense is garbage. If Jimmy goes down, oh that isn't Pees' fault they give up 4th quarter leads routinely.

Except that it is a trend since Pees came here. And no one wants to admit it.

Offensively it is because we lack any playmakers at all because we never seem to draft any in the last 5 or 6 years.

Was hearing the Steelers were interested in Kizer as a potential replacement for Ben so again the Browns take who the Steelers wanted. Taking a page from the Bengals. Got Dalton in the second after AJ Green in the first. Browns get 2 defensive players and a nice weapon for Kizer in Njoku.

*Cue those who say the Browns are even giving their rookie qb weapons*

When you play the value game with a QB, you end up getting a QB who is not good enough.

Unlike other teams they are actually providing him with help.  The Browns will be a good team in 3-4 years.

Dawkins, Feeney, Elflein, Juju, Kupp, Godwin all still on the board for those whining about offense.

Plenty of good players left.

Hoping for one of those OL or WR next pick and then double dip either CB or pass rusher if Witherspoon or Tim Williams fall that far.

This is why we should've gone offense in Free Agency. I said over and over "This is a defensive draft, build the defense there and build the offense in FA". Our defense is going to be nasty and the offense is going to be a dumpster fire. An already bad unit has lost Wagner and SSS, no help in the first 2 rounds or FA. Another painful year of anemic offense incoming.

It's too early to even define what the offense will be . There still some pretty talented offensive players left.

The trend is whenever Jimmy goes down the secondary is horrible and when Suggs went down the front 7 was horrible.

Its not really a hard thing to notice.  When you lose an ELITE CB who you base your entire scheme around its hard to just continue to do your thing and expect it to work.

I really love what we did so far.  Bowser as our pass rush specialist behind Suggs to rotate with him.  He can cover so he will be a true 3rd down threat and he isn't small but he has room to grow and gain some lean quick-twitch muscle to increase his weight.  Then, you have Humphrey as the zone CB to get the INT with Jimmy Smith and Tavon Young.  This is with Jefferson and Weddle back there at safety and Williams in the middle to keep Mosley and Correa clean.

Still need a 3-4 DE

I hope we get Godwin.

I love me some Feeney, but from my estimation he's a strict RG and I don't think we're going to take him because of that. There's some merit to say we need to find our Yanda replacement, but he wouldn't be able to contribute in the mean time unless Yanda moves. I don't like Feeney at RT at all and I'm not sure about center.

What would it take to jump up from our 3rd for Zach Cunningham. If were going all in on defense we may as well just finish job and get the best mlb left

Every once and awhile you see this team that is complete and could be a powerhouse in the NFL but they have no QB.  Houston is that team right now, it was SF for a few years and it was the Chiefs before that and around a decade ago I remember it being the Browns.  All those teams they had the same problems.  Garbage QB means you top out at around 9 wins.

Don't assume Kizer is their future.  They still have two firsts next year and plenty of time to tank if they like someone.
