God help Marlon if indeed he is assigned to those players.

It's a good thing we have 2 all pro safety's to back him up not to mention Jimmy and Carr to draw the assignment if need be. I'm really excited now.

So, even you believe that "2nd best" CB in the draft needs to be nursed?
Tony Jefferson is All pro safety?

I think this would have been a good pick if not for them passing up Rueben Foster, but aside from that he looks to be a hard hitting aggressive CB which is exactly what we need.

I always said "the #1 pick in the draft be a CB like Jimmy Smith" and when I saw Marlon I immediately thought of the patriots and Edelman Lol! They are going down welcome to the Flock Marlon!

Good pick by ozzie, If Malik Hooker was still on the board and they were going by BPA then that would be the pick. Colts got the next Ed Reed one pick ahead of us. Welcome to the flock Humphrey, Hopefully you'll be breaking receivers ribs out there.

Does any other GM in the NFL have such an infatuation with a college more than Ozzie with Alabama?

I'm begging to get tired of it. I feel like he has blinders on.

Pretty idiotic post to be honest. We have a grand total of 2 players from bama on our roster including Marlon. everybody wants to throw a fit when we don't draft their guy smh.

You still feeling that way after they picked up the flyer on Tim Williams. Look, I'm not saying that isn't a bad place to get talent. But we had OJ Howard on the board at #16. He would have been the right pick. Humphrey is known for getting beat deep. Ozzie had the blinders on, period.

I've been thinking about it, and I think this pick will be great for us. Love his physicality at the line of scrimmage. Maybe he'll need a little extra safety help over the top , but word on the street is that he completely shuts down the short passing game. I think every player on our defense is widely regarded for their ability to stop the run. If nothing else, in 2017 the Ravens are gonna be hitting other teams in the mouth. Good.

I thought Humphrey was one of the players we would strongly be considering.
There were only 2 players I was really hoping we didn't take at 16, that I though would be a possibility. Cam was # 2. #1 was Marlon. Absolute worst case scenario and then some imo. We'll see.
As incredibly painful as yesterday was, I still somehow stand by what I was think before the draft started.
Friday is more important this Thursday this year. For sure.
I'm REALLY hoping we give up a 2018 pick or two for another pick or 2 today (Friday)

Doom:  You need to calm down and give the kid a chance , the first round is behind us M Humphreys is now a Raven, so lets support him. Maybe Oz will surprise you today, IMHO I thought Evan Engram was the best TE prospect of this draft.

You're right. I'll chill. I just think it was another pick similar to the rest of our picks picks in recent years, that has sent are team sliding to say the least. And he certainly did surprise me, taking a a raw player out of Houston, instead of Ju Ju. Seems like the FO forgot we have to play offense to. Someone should tell Ozzie it 2017, not 2000. Can't even say anymore that the game "is" changing, cuz the game "has" changed. Passing on Howard and Foster was unreal. Foster I understand, Howard, not a chance. Our offense was close to being as painful as it's ever to watch last year. And we lost a HOF wr and our RT. Yet added nothing.
What kills me is that everyone keeps saying, o yeah it was our defense that kept blowing late game leads......maybe the cuz they were on the field the entire game and gassed at the end. Plus Deen's awesome gameplans at the end of games. If our offense would stay on the field a little more, and maybe score some points, the defense would be a lot more ready to shut the door at the end of games.
All I can say is it should be incredibly fun to watch the D this year...........and when the O is on the field, I might be cringing the entire time

So many people on here have complained about Jimmy Smith and Webby staying healthy. YES, there were a couple of other guys that some may say ranked higher on the BPA scale. I'm not so sure, personally. The other two guys that I would have thought, both have health issues or character issues.

We have seen in the past couple of years where our secondary has gotten decimated, specifically the corners. This guy is an awesome player.

I'm not disappointed AT ALL!

WELCOME TO BALTIMORE MARLON.... TIME TO BUCKLE IT UP DUDE!

And for those reasons I am so fired up! How many NFL teams have 2 legit shutdown Corners? And how many of them have 2 probowl safeties protecting their backs?

The past couple of years it's been a bumpy ride whenever Jimmy goes down because the dropoff was so great from him to the next best CB. This year we have a legit shutdown corner lining up across from him and a legit vet that can handle any #2 or #3 WR. Add a nasty slot CB in young and there really isn't much of a drop off. At least not enough to change your gameplan if Jimmy goes down.

now if we are healthy?! Oh lord. We can shut down your top 4 WRs man to man with our secondary.

did I mention that I'm fired up? Lol
