Im ok with this pick as we needed a guy who can step in when Jimmy falls apart again as he always does. Now we need to get the offensive line fixed because there is 2 major pass rushers just brought into our division so we will see these guys twice a season time to get bigger and stronger. Then we can add our own edge rusher and maybe a 3-4 round receiver.

Why would it be a joke our best d linemen only notched 5 sacks almost completely in the first half of the year and he's gone. Our d line couldn't get pressure on a 50 year old drew Bledsoe it's pathetic

This is the comment I was responding to. "Last season our d-line was about as non-factor as it's ever been in our team history"  Its a bit hyperbolic dont you think.  If he said the DL was a non factor in the passing game I would agree with that.

We better off taking a chance on sidney jones honestly. This guy has no ball skills nor instincts. Man i hope tavon young continue to ball out

Even kevin king wouldve been better imo. Excellent tackler, great ball skills and uses his length to his advantage.

i thought we would trade down honestly, i was shocked we even made a pick, with 3 qb gone, more talent sliding.

I was so certain we would take Reuben Foster with this pick. Of course they knew about the injury concerns so it makes sense we didn't. I was hoping he would fall into the second round though. I wanted a WR so bad. I hope we can find a gem late like other teams have done (good luck...I know I know). Either way, our secondary looks pretty damn good. Part of that 'chip formula is having a great secondary so we are on our way.

I can´t believe we passed J. Allen and Reuben Foster inmediate impact players.

Three teams helped us by choosing QBs and we did not take advantage of them...

Congratulations Redskins and Niners fans you are very lucky.

Mr. Ozzie, Coach Harbaugh what is your playmaker concept?

Maybe I'm completely wrong.

100%

Foster has too many off field issues - drug use, nightclub shootings, failed drug test, combine, etc. He's more Rolando McClain than CJ Mosely.

Allen is a DE in a 4-3. Why would the Ravens draft a pass rushing DE and then put him in our system where DE are asked to cover 2 gaps to stuff the run and not rush the passer?

I'm still throwing up in my mouth

In THIS DRAFT, we take a cb at 16, that can't cover down the field, doesn't have instincts, or ball skills?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????......................................GENIUS.

That's bound to help vs Brady, Ben, and everyone else that throws the ball in the NFL. I wouldn't have taken him in the 2nd round. What a waste. Better corners are still on the board, and will be for a while.

It's not like we could've used Foster, or Allen, or Takk, or Harris, or Lamp, or anyone else

Devestating, but not surprising

I mean... yeah this pick makes sense, I was pulling for Foster lol. But hey, if he can play at a first round level for us, then I say welcome aboard. Our secondary is looking nasty, everybody back there likes to hit and be physical. We will for sure be the #1 run defense this year.

Allen is a DE in a 4-3???? Not True at all. He can play anywhere on the line in any scheme except a true NT

corner should no longer be in issue for us now, if if jimmy smith does get hurt like he so often does we finally have guys that can cover with carr tayvon and now humphris, we needed this and he seems to be a playmaker from what ive seen

No longer be an issue?
Why? Cuz we just picked a guy that doesn't have instincts, ball skills, and can't cover down the field? He got torched in multiple games trying to do so. Gave up 18 yards a reception as a starter???? For the 16th pick in this draft? What a joke
All because he tested well in underwear at the combine and went to Alabama.
Time to step down Ozzie. Now I'm nervous to watch tomorrow instead of excited.

These first and second round WHIFFS are killing us. Marlon at SIXTEEN OVERALL better not end up on this list

Making a run for the Super Bowl you gotta face the squeelers or pats and they both carve up secondaries so why not beef up the secondary like Ozzie and Co. are doing and did?! This is chess it ain't checkers!

Beef it up with somebody that got torched down the field in COLLEGE??????????

We might as well bolstered the O-line now by drafting Forrest Lamp at guard with our 2nd, then draft Pat Eflein at center with one of our 3rd round picks and hopefully use our early 3rd with Sidney Jones then my draft opinion will change because we boost the o-line and then sign Boldin to a 2 year deal and call it a day.

Ozzie's alabama bias burns us again. It's honestly time for him to hang it up, everybody being homers talking about how great of a pick this is do me a favor and go back and watch him get absolutely abused by Mike Williams. Very doubtful he starts this year and he will never be more than a #2 corner. Awful value in a deep corner class.

Such an awful pick. A need pick when he wasn't even the best corner on the board. This guy gets lit up down the field......that will be a good attribute to have vs Brady and Ben. Not to mention we have 3 starting corners locked in already.
In this draft, in this Corner class, we take a corner at 16 overall, that I haven't heard one analyst say, and for good reason, has a chance of developing into a number 1 corner.
What a joke
Devastating but not surprising
It really is time for Ozzie to hang it up
The drafting continues to go downhill year after year, for many years now, it's killing the Ravens. So much they even admitted it themselves about a month ago.
With the players in this draft, I would not even consider Marlon at 47. There are about 7 corners still on the board I prefer much more. Awuzie would've been a killer pick.
This sucks

Bills got a better corner at 27 than we did at 16. Sad

Not only did they get a WAY better corner at 27, than we did at 16, but he's also way more verstaile. Marlon has no chance of playing the slot if needed.
White is a gamer a twice the corner Marlon is. ALSO, White is a great returner.............which we need as well. This was the number one player I thought we might take at 16, and was really hoping we wouldn't.
Didn't think it was possible for Ozzie to screw the draft up again, especially in this draft. I was wrong. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Oj Howard. Man. He was right there. Gifted to you from the football gods. Everything that could have went right, did, and we missed it. Bama TE and a Bama TE.

Humphrey will be good, but Oj will be great.

OJ will automatically be a top 4 TE in the NFL day 1.
Ozzie lost it, a while ago too

Seriously. That's what I was saying. If we added Lamp and Eflein we would've had a top 5 line, easy. Q won't want to come back to this organization that is going downhill, esp. after the way they did him. We better get Lamp or Ju Ju tomorrow.
I didn't think it was possible to screw this draft up, Ozzie has really accelerated his decline with this pick. Unreal. We passed on an ALL PRO TE for a corner that not one analyst thinks has a chance of being a number 1 corner.
What a joke....that isn't funny at all. Except to Steeler fans

We take the 2nd best CB in this year's draft (after Sidney Jones' injury) and Ravens fans are still complaining! Fans have been crying for CB help after seeing the Ravens blow numerous late 4th Qtr leads.....because of a weak secondary.....and now we have one of the NFL's best secondaries and still no love. (Even when we know about Jimmy Smith's durability issue).

Yes, we could have gone with one of the other 3 Alabama players still on the board but we do NOT need another DT or TE and Foster must have had some issues/red flags or he would not have lasted until the 31st pick.

These coaches look at thousands of hours of film and game tape, but obviously some fans know much more than the coaches. Send an email or give Owner Steve Bisciotti a phone call.....he may be hiring!

THANK YOU! Some people on here just like drama. We got the #1 corner on the best defense in college football and everybody is complaining. Honestly, nobody should have anything negative to say until the end of tomorrow. That's our moment to shine.

The guys complaining now will be the same guys when he's starting for us saying "Aww yeah Marlon Humphrey is so great!! Ozzie killed that pick!! In Ozzie we trust!!! trade jimmy!!!!" We are supposed to have one of the greatest fan bases in the NFL but bash our draftees before they even suit up lol.

Yes we do need DTs.
We didn't get any pressure from our line last year and Allen was rated as the 2nd best player in the draft by many
OJ will be an ALL PRO and top 4 TE from day 1. We have Pitta that can't block, and a bunch of guys that are overrated as well and can't get on the field
Foster is a pro bowler day 1
Even though our 3 starting corners are set, a lot of us still wanted a corner, and for good reason, but not a reach in the first. There are better corners that will be on the board a round from now.
This guy won't start this year, and if he does, we're in trouble.
Let's think about this, the guy played on THE best defense in college football, and was surrounded by studs everywhere. Yet he continuously got burned down the field, even in big games. Gave up EIGHTEEN yards a reception as a starter. That is NOT the second best corner in the draft. Few had him rated as that. Teez is twice as good.
Getting a corner at 16 overall, especially in this draft, that is notoriously known for not having instincts, ball skills, and most importantly CANNOT cover down the field, is not going to help anytime soon vs Brady, Ben, Rodgers, and the whole NFL for that matter. What a sad day for Ravens fans. There are 6-8 better corners that will come off the board tomorrow.
Ozzie is playing blackjack and keeps hitting on a 16. Step away Ozzie. Please. We all appreciate your work from the past

The draft is LITERALLY around 14% complete and people are giving up on the draft and saying Oz needs to hang it up? Lol yup, I agree that this board should close.

1 divided by 7, good job. But lets think about it, I think a first round pick is a little more important than the rest.
Plus, those comments aren't based off of 1 pick. You know that!
It's based off of our opinion of this 1rst round pick ( and many other non Ravens fans), but also more importantly the WHIFFS that have been happening in the high rounds for years and years now. There's a reason we have fallen off big time from what we used to be year after year.
The Ravens themselves even admitted before this draft how they've been screwing up big time in recent drafts, and how it's bringing the team down.
It's one thing if our first and second rounders turn into good players, or even average players that find a way to contribute just a little to a win here or there, but we are picking 1rst and 2nd round picks that can't even stay in the league. Can't stay competitive, let alone challenge for SuperBowls when you have first and second round picks like that, year after year, after year.

i like this pick. solidify the secondary and lets hope jimmy can stay healthy for once heading into the end of the schedule/playoffs. now lets shore up the pass rush, o-line and lb spots and possibly draft a receiver but picking up a vet is more likely

Let's be clear about Marlon Humphrey. He was considered a lock 1st round pick so I wouldn't consider it a reach by the Ravens.

If you take a player at 16 overall, in one of the most talented drafts of all time...................
I would certainly hope he was considered a 1rst round lock?!?!?! LOL
But he wasn't even.... :( I've seen him in the middle of the second in almost every mock for weeks now
I wouldn't have even considered him at 47 overall! And I put that in multiple posts before today too btw. There are more than a handful of corners still on the board that are better. That can actually cover down the field...........lol
But he went to Alabama....and ran fast in shorts....SWEET
Ozzie continues to amaze, in the worst way possible
I thought he was back on track after this FA, but the Drafts, the most important 3 days for every NFL franchise, are still our downfall.
The went from a strength for us, to a serious weakness. There's a reason we're not only missing out on the big games in January and February these days, but we can't even make the playoffs now. SAD

14% was just putting into perspective how much time we have left to still fill holes. . I agree with you that we've whiffed and personally I would have taken O.J. Howard but this is still a great pick. #1 corner on the best defense in college football. I just feel that recent whiffs have made us fail to give these new picks the benefit of the doubt. Plus, the money for us in this drafts are those two third rounders. Let's let the draft finish before assuming the sky is falling.
