Hey, I'm just quoting what some of the analysts were stating last night.....  They gave valid reasons why 3 of those guys were overlooked.  Just sayin.  So if you believe it's total crap...  then see the guys on ESPN or NFLN

Foster had off the field, not Howard.

Nope, I posted 2 weeks after the draft as I was on holiday. I said Elam is a liability in coverage and i cringed when i saw ozzie say '' we had a guy called ed reed, and we are looking for the guy to replace him, we think you're that guy''.

I also attacked his ''eat greedy'' brand he started when he first joined and was negged to death for it AND i said he has some nerve saying he's world class in coverage before he even played a game after what i saw on tape

The awkward moment when your first ever post was Jan 9, 2014.

cyrus jones is the closer to a bust than dre kirkpatrick ever has been - you're hyping up his return skills but they are literally the reason we even ran the patriots close when we played them last year

oh i find it funny how when its  a ravens player 1 year is not enough time to call someone a bust no matter how awful they are yet with other teams

Well then you didn't listen. Foster and allen had shoulder injuries. Foster also had off field concerns. Nfln were literally gobsmacked Howard fell as far as he did. They never once mentioned off field issues for Howard. They didn't know why he lasted as long as he did

You have the names mixed up. You didn't hear not one time that Howard has injuries or character issues. Don't blame your mix ups on espn, nothing wrong with admitting you had a mix up

Sami said he attacked the eat greedy saying. I bet You he was under a different name cause I do remember a guy that had eat greedy as his tag line thingy

I remember many people attacking it. I think it's a stupid tagline to have and I thought Elam could be a good player.

nope it was under my name. I have no idea why i cant find any posts from 2013 but i can tell you that i attacked elam for being an awful pick and when he started creating this eat greedy nonsense brand i said he's got a long way to go before he starts creating a brand name.

btw,

While i'm not a fan of the humphrey pick he's a better player than elam was. He can 3 things

Tackle

Break Screens

Play Run D

He's actually a better safey than elam lol

I don't have a problem admitting it.  I'm not sure I even identified Who had what issue....  and if I did, then I do apologize.  But I was flipping back and forth between NFLN and ESPN last night.  And it was the Gruden crew that were talking about the shoulder issues...  and even switching back to NFLN they spoke of "character flaws"....  Trouble is, it really doesn't matter so much as we drafted HUMPHREY....Theirs was the justification as to why they believed that we did so.  And I'm not sorry we did.  I like the pick.

I just wanted to say...  You guys sure know how to make a guy feel welcome to Bmore...

Listening to the analysts this morning...  ALL OF THEM believe that this is a GOOD and a SOLID pick.

He's welcome. But even if Jimmy Smith 2.0 is true, we're talking 3 years before he has an impact . Just like Jimmy. You know, just in time to claim the big bucks while getting nothing but ST time for our #16 value.

We have a lot of solid players on our roster. What we lack are any impact players. That is what first round picks are supposed to be. Immediate impact players. This pick is not that. That doesn't mean he isn't welcome or no one sees his value. It just becomes about the value we did not get for a #16 pick.

The Saints rang Reuben Foster (when the 49ers were on the clock) to tell him they were going to pick him at 32 but then he got a call from the 49ers who said they were going to draft him at 34. Foster told Lynch that it would be too late as the Saints were picking him next which resulted in Lynch pulling the trigger early.

Foster said he put the phone down on the Saints once he started talking to the 49ers. Not the classiest way of dealing with the situation IMO.

1st round picks are supposed to be who you build around.  Jimmy Smith  might have taken 3 years but he is the guy the entire defense revolves around and for that he is a great 1st round pick.  If it takes 3 years for Humphrey to be the guy who the defense revolves around that will also be a good pick.
