That's foster lol.

Oj howard was clean as a whistle unless there is something that slipped through the cracks

We have 6 TE's...  Boyle, Pitta, Gilmore, Waller, Williams, and Watson..... and now Woodhead in the backfield.  It wasn't a need....

He makes Joe better. He makes the run game better and he makes the defense better by limiting their time on the field.

He was the best player there when we picked, ( to me of course ), and it isn't close.

I just remembered we got Bengals week 1.  This should be fun.

let's hope we grab a pass rusher then so that we can make the most of their terrible oline and put dalton on his back before he can launch the ball downfield to ross or aj green

i mean, i was really high on him too. But he lasted quite a long while.... lots of teams passed, ones that could have really used a dual threat TE like that. So it looks like the league wasnt quite as high on him as we all were.

We need a pass catcher period. Oj Howard would be hands down the most dynamic guy flacco has ever played with and it's not even close. Not to mention he is an elite run blocker, the guys basically an extra OT out there, he would without question be the best skill position player on our offense and coaches would never find a reason to take him off the field, and he was a top 5 talent who fell due to his position, Humphrey is widely regarded as a 20s ranked guy. Plus, Pitta Waller and Watson could all very well be gone next year and probably should be gone already.

i don't care about needs when you have a squeaky clean generational talent 10 spots after he should've been picked.

He is probably the best player the Ravens have had a chance to pick in the past ten years

They were discussing it last night.  Maybe he's been OK recently...  but there were clear reasons why they were overlooked by the Ravens...  2 of those guys had shoulder issues...  One had arthritis in BOTH shoulders due to Labrum issues.  The other had dislocation in one of his....  The third had character issues....  and as far as O.J....  We don't need another TE.

And the pass catcher may come in the 2nd or 3rd round.  You guys are acting like this was the determining factor of the entire draft. Was it a "sexy pick"?  Maybe not...  But it's crazy.

Guy would have been tremendous for this offense. .....for a long time.

I would've bet money he was going to be our pick, even with the logjam at the position.

Would love to get a rusher, but wouldn't be surprised if we go OL or ILB in the 2nd.  Also, dont think Dalton has the arm to utilize Ross fully.  People are going to say we did that cause of Ross but truth is, we needed another young guy and Bryant is coming back as well.  I'm truly exciting to see this defense this season.  We finally have the press man personnel everyone's been waiting for.  I expect a top 5 sack total if we can actually stay healthy.

It's a poor pick guys. Sorry, but in alamabas scheme for a guy to give up as many big plays as he did, along with his clearcut inability to mirror recievers and poor instincts. Alabama corners generally suck.

You can put this along with Elam and Perriman. I actually never mentioned him in any of our drafts as

1: If he was pure awesome or even close to lattimore/jones/white I'd have said he'd be great even if we wanted another position

2: He's a 2nd round talent

I wish ozzie never played for alabama.

I was floored. It's as if Ozzie asked himself how it was that we missed the playoffs, determined it was lack of depth in the secondary (could be right), and ignored his mantra of best player available.

remember when NO ONE wanted Perriman before the draft?

No one wanted Humphreys as a corner. Most of us didnt want corners but the ones we wanted never involved humphreys for the reasons all described. Now as usual, we are not seeing things straight and imagining some lockdown corner and in truth, he's just another big athletic hitter.

I actually believe that even if Ozzie picked "The Guy"...  we'd still see some folks moaning that we didn't go defensive back...  Last night was a very "different" round 1 in this draft.  People who went that weren't expected were all over the place.  Folks need to chill

fine, PICK a corner BUT WHY HUMPHREY?????

In this draft esp..trade back get a pick and then get a corner, don't give me nonsense like ''he's the best player on our board BY FAR''.

i dont have issue with BPA..need or not

my point is that there is No chance in hell humphreys is better than OJ howard and he isn't as good of a corner as T.White, Conely, S.Jones, Moreu or even K.King!

NOPE...  I called Perriman.

I also believe this guy is a Raven style player.  Could be one of the better corners in the league.  I mean whoda thought that Tavon Young was going to come out and play like he did last season...  I'm sorry...  what round was he picked again?????

WHY DOES ANYONE BOTHER?

He's the resident pessimist. I'm not the biggest fan of the pick either but there's a good player there.

We don't need a TE.   We already have 6, and Woodhead.  For the past two years we have had secondary issues.  These arguments are nutz.  I'm outta here.  This is just sad.

I liked the tavon pick. I said he'd be a great slot corner (can see it in my post draft review from last year). One of my 3 fav picks along with dixon and stanely. I have a good eye for talent and a good eye for busts

this one is on the busts side.

Last year I lauded the stanley pick because he was a polished player with a high floor and potentially all pro ceiling.

I don't like this notion that you can't state how you feel about a player. No one here had humphreys as a desirable pick and most had him outside the top 4 corners.

It's like whoever ozzie picks, okay we don't like him, we think he's overrated but what do we know? Ozzie is perfect and we know jack..

i don't agree, ozzie has been prone to more 1st and 2nd round messups than most in the past years.

Baltimore Ravens: Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama

Grade: A-. Humprey bolsters the Ravens' new-look secondary in an exciting way. Cornerback was a position of need and he is a scheme fit as well. An outside linebacker might have been the better play here, but Baltimore did well.

I'm mentally prepared for the rest of the draft now:
