I wanted The Ravens to get every down edge defender so bad in the first round it's suck Derek Barnett didin't fall to them but I still like Marlon Humphrey .

Can make a very strong case that DB was the #1 need for this team anyway. The difference here is that you're looking for needs based exclusively on the 2017 season. Absolutely never a good way to look at things.

You're best corner rarely plays a full season, and you're other outside corner is an aging player who's not shown to be anything other than average... and is only here on a one year deal basically.

Certainly not taking a WR in this spot or probably anytime soon, and the Olineman generally suck.

Only other consideration for me is a pass rusher.

You are correct that neither of us know for sure if Ozzie got any calls or not. What if the calls offered decent value? Do you really believe DB was our #1 need? Why would you think I am thinking only of needs for the upcoming season? I am looking to make our team the strongest in can be every year.

We do have cornerbacks that get hurt as well as players at other positions that get hurt. Injuries at a position of need leave us extremely vulnerable, think of us having to rely on James Hurst.

 If we had traded back in the first round there was good value at pass rusher, Oline and cornerback. I understand you like the BPA philosophy and it can be a solid strategy, but when you have little cap room and several holes to fill there are other options to consider.

Why would I talk about something that happened 5 years ago in a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with that superbowl? Am I supposed to make sure to bring up Flacco cussing after the superbowl everytime someone does something ignorant?

Forgot Cook, Mixon, Kamara, Dan Feeney, Dion Dawkins, Derek Rivers, Sidney Jones, etc...

There are going to be great players available. Hoping for Tim Williams.

I expect a run on CB's now bc everyone that waited on the depth is going to panic bc if you need a starter immediately there aren't too many left. 

And several of the teams in front of us already grabbed a pass rusher, don't need one or have much bigger needs. 

 

We should have at least one there.

Watching the whole draft conference from the Ravens looks like the Ravens front office isn't happy about getting Humphrey.  Maybe they wanted Hooker or Barnett.  They look disappointed.

They wanted Barnett or Reddick. Ozzie said they tried to trade up somewhere in the teens but couldn't get it done. 

Had to be for one of those two.
