With Allen dropping it may make sense to give up one of the 3rd and go up and get him. He's going to be dominant for us up the middle. I can't even imagine how tough he'll make it for opposing O-lines.

It takes time for DBs to reach their potential. You take the BPA regardless of position. Ignoring the best player (Hooker) just because you've got two years (at best) of Weddle is how you get a S crisis down the line.

Lets assume that he pans out (realistically 20% chance of this) to his potential and is a top 3 NFL safety.  Is that a bigger upgrade then picking one of the top pass rushers or trading back and grabbing a second and building more weapons?  I love BPA but you balance that against how much an upgrade over the current position are they.

there is literally no point now in trading up given the calibre of player that will fall right into our lap at 16

#25 is way too far back to trade back imo.

Where do you get a 20% chance?  That's just adding numbers to state your case.  My case is this.  If Hooker is as high on the Ravens board as he is mine, you take him.

I am really happy for the kid Watson. Seems like a really good kid.

 

But truthfully I am just happy for the Raves because now we land a stud. I want Allen, Foster, Hooker, Howard and Barnett in that order of preference right now.
