[News] 2017: Final Mock Draft Monitor

I could see any of these moves except Hooker, they have 2 Safeties. Lamp I could see only as a worst case scenario trade back into 20s and get few more picks. In this case Williams,Davis,Reddick,Foster,Barnett, even maybe Oj Howard probably off the board

I'll take every single projection to the Ravens but will take Forest Lamp's selection poorly because it isn't sexy like a Corey Davis or Rueben Foster selection! I'm just a sports fan man!

I'd be totally OK with any of these picks.

I do believe in the "stick to what works" approach - and what usually works for the Ravens regareding WR is to acquire proven vested veterans - often on the tail end of their careers (Quadry, Mason, Boldin, Steve Smith, Mike Wallace); what hasn't worked for the Ravens has been trying to draft a good one. So, I hope Ozzie won't go WR with his first pick, even if Williams and/or Corey Davis is still on the board. A day 2 guy (Zay Jones, Juju, Kupp etc...) would IMHO be more rasonable WR pick.

That said, I hope our first round pick is gonna be

1.) a G/OT;
2.) a pass rusher
3.) an ILB

In the end, of course, I'll go on trusting Ozzie, whoever and whichever position he picks.

On the other hand, our current roster seems to be in a bigger need at OL than at WR...

Ruben Foster seems to be a pipe dream for us - but if he's there, I'd be delighted to have him in Baltimore...

The suspense is too much and we only have 6 hours to go. Personally, Corey Davis, Mike Williams or Derek Barnett would be cool picks with me.

I read an interesting mock the other day, which included trades. In that Ozzie traded down into the mid-20's for an extra 2nd rounder, picked a pass rusher there, then boundled that newly acquired 2nd rounder (or our original 2nd rounder? Can't recall) with the higher 3rd rounder to trade back into the 1st round to something like #29, and pick Corey Davis.

It was an interesting mock.

All those picks would be good for me too. Though i don't think Ozzie is leaning towards WR. Ozzie will do the thing he has always done draft the best player available not by need.

There will be effective offensive linemen to trip over when teams cut down to 53 and their need at right tackle could be filled by a veteran left tackle who is cut for younger talent and can be gotten cheaply. I still think that Nick Mangold will drop his asking price and will sign with the Ravens as it seems that there is little or no interest. If not I think they plan on Ryan Jensen filling in. The Ravens can grab a center later in the draft and if he doesnt work out there is always Mangold. I do agree the offensive line is important, but its not like we can find another Mike Williams or Corey Davis walking the street like we will be able to find a good O lineman. Ravens need a playmaker on offense to kickstart this streaky offense. We need someone who can move the chains. We have speed on the outside but we need a receiver who will fight for the ball or a top rated running back to fill that spot left by Ray Rice that we have yet to fill at that talent level.

I will always want TE Howard first, we don't have full time TE worth a damm but if he's gone go with Derek Barnett, Suggs is on his last year or 2.

Here's my best shot:
16) H Reddick OLB (Temple)
47) A Kamara RB (Tenn)
74) T Moton OT (West MIch)
78) D King FS (Iowa)
122) D Westbrook WR (Oklahoma)
159) R Douglas CB (West Va)
186) M Lee OLB (Wake Forrest)

This draft is so deep that best player available is the best option. We have several holes so they should just pick the top rated player on our board and our team is sure to get better.

We have 3 TEs already on the roster better than Howard. His numbers are pedestrian. I don't see what the big deal is with him. Too many people projecting him to be the next Gronk and hes just not that good.

Howard's numbers are unspectacular mostly due to how he was utilized at Bama, and the lack of any real talented QBs throwing the ball down there. Bama was mostly power run first team. Howard showed up big on the biggest games twice on the National championship stages

im hoping for Barnett in the first, then possibly JuJu or Zay in the 2nd. can address OL and/or LB with the 2 3rd round picks

I think there is a good chance that no one will be left that the Ravens want to draft at 16 and they trade back a few spots to get someone in the second tier of their board and an extra 3rd round pick.
