Ravens selections:

1st Round: Mike Williams WR | Clemson

MikeWilliams3

Williams could obviously go earlier, but he could also fall due to some rising QB's and a number of great defenders. One of Williams or Davis should be there at 16 if the Ravens want one of them. Mike Williams will always have his weaknesses but his strengths are so overwhelming. He's built like a power forward with his size and wingspan. Has an elite ability to position his body, time his jump and come down with the ball. Speed is decent enough for his size. He's the ideal 3rd down and red zone target for Flacco and there's a lot of Alshon Jeffrey to his game. Williams is battle tested in big moments and has performed well versus the top DB's college has to offer.

2nd: Dion Dawkins OL | Temple

I would think offensive line is the biggest priority to get a starter at. Dawkins played tackle at Temple, and his best fit may be inside. The team wants to get bigger up front and Dawkins would provide some much needed power to the run game. Dawkins is athletic enough to be a good pass protector as well, particularly in the interior. He and Lewis' versatility would be valuable. Those two along with Stanley are great young pieces to put with Yanda. The team likes Temple players as well.

3rd: Derek Rivers OLB | Youngstown State

Rivers checks off the small school player criteria of elite production. He jumps off the tape with his athleticism. Shows good bend around the corner and wins with explosion, leverage and power. The step up in competition will be steep, but I think the potential is there for him to be really good. The Ravens are great at developing athletic linebackers like Rivers.

Waiting this long to address pass rusher isn't ideal, but the offense could take precedence as they are currently lightyears behind the defense. I do like the depth at OLB in the first few rounds too. I hope we come away with a guy like Rivers, Lawson, Williams, Bowser or even Basham. This could also depend on how the team views Judon's potential. I wouldn't count on Z Smith making an impact, but don't forget Kaufusi is also an option to play some there in a four man front.

3rd Round: Rasul Douglas CB | West Virginia

Douglas is a long corner with great ball skills. His instincts and awareness put him in good position and allow him to create a lot of turnovers. He will need to be protected over top a bit because of some stiffness and lack of long speed, but he has the ability to be a playmaking outside CB. Great fit in Pees' zone defense and he has the size and physicality to grow in press man.

4th Round: Ejaun Price OLB | Pittsburgh

Price is one of the rare short edge rushers I actually like. He makes up for his stature by having long arms and winning the leverage battle. Off the line he's explosive and very powerful engaging blockers. He'll probably never be a full time player, but could be quite valuable in a Dumervil esque role. Ozzie may look to double dip at edge rusher considering Judon is really the only future option and it is a pretty good class. Despite the size limitation, I think Price's game translates to the next level.

5th Round: Jon Toth | C | Kentucky

Developmental center with the power to make become an impact run defender. Dawkins and Toth are both the type of linemen that D'Alessandris does well with.

6th: Blair Brown | ILB | Ohio

Undersized linebacker with toughness and instincts. He may always be a rotational backer, but can be a good one. Unless Foster falls to 16, a rotation next to Mosley is probably the way to go.

Most media analysts that have heard more information about the Conley situation all still have him in the first round. Chris Simms said it perfectly in his latest mock draft, teams that are not as high on Conley will likely shy away but for teams that are still high on him, they will do their homework. He still has him going #14 to the Eagles.

Ya he's a wild card. Eagles are the one team I could see taking him that high though. If they pass on him, in this situation I think they'd take Humphrey or Barnett

lance zierlein literally just spoke about how all team sources he's spoken to have said that short of a full clearance before the end of the draft he will not be drafted

Every media person has said different things about what has come out.

Definitely a fan of the Price and Brown selections. Brown is significantly underrated in my eyes.

Idk if derek rivers falls that far

Probably not. I didn't want to include trades, but I think there's a good chance we move back early to get an extra say mid rounder. In this situation I would have traded back from our 2nd then used that extra pick to trade up for Rivers

That was my only gripe with this draft... I don't think Conley makes the first round unless all charges are dismissed tomorrow morning.
