[News] Ravens 2017 Seven-Round Mock Draft

65 posts in this topic

Im gonna say this... If  browns have a great draft this year we are in trouble. Imagine if they go all all defense in first 2 rounds( which is what i would do)  or 3 defensive players and maybe fournttte if he drops to 12. That could potentially put them a QB away from competing.

Says the Jaguars the last 10 years.......

I would love a peak at the Ravens draft board. OK, actually, I'd like to stare at it for a long time. That would be educational.

the ravens should have a contest and let a few lucky fans in the war room during the draft.  Maybe day 2 or 3.

The winners would have to leave their cellphones out of the war room for obvious privacy concerns.

using NFL (fanspeak) I cam up with this 6 round draft
1. Hasson Reddick DE/LB
2. Quincy Wilson CB
3 Juju Smith Schuster WR
3 Sidney Jones CB can not have two many CBs
4 Demarcus Walker DL/DE
5. Jermaine Eluenor G/T
6 Sam Tevi OT

I agree. 👍

I'm a huge fan of both. I'm just really hoping the Steelers don't take Quincy in the first

I wouldn't say we're in trouble. But with the picks and coach they have, they are in a position to turn things around in a hurry. If they draft really well. We all know that's a huge IF though when it comes to the browns

My Ideal draft:

Round 1: WR Corey Davis
Round 2: OLB Carl Lawson
Round 3: CB Teez Tabor (Whatever CB falls)
Round 3: RT Roderick Johnson
Round 4: RB Kareem Hunt
Round 5: C Tyler Orlosky
Round 6: QB Brady Gustafson

What I think the Ravens will do:

Round 1: OLB Takkarist McKinley (or RT Cam Robinson on trade back)
Round 2: CB Kevin King
Round 3: DE Tanoh Kpassagnon
Round 3: C Ethan Pocic
Round 4: RB Brian Hill
Round 5: RT Darrell Williams
Round 6: WR Deangelo Yancey

I like the top one. your ideal draft. Those top 4 picks would be perfect, except I would prioritize getting Eflein in there for our Center for the next 10 years.
We need to draft Teez.
If Davis isn't there at 16, I would trade down to get that extra pick for Eflein, and make sure I draft Ju Ju.
Here's my ideal draft with a trade down out of 16-

Forrest Lamp
Ju Ju
Carl Lawson
Teez
Eflein
Roderick Johnson

Then if it were still possible to get Perine, that would be amazing. I haven't really studied Hunt yet at all

That would be an INSANE draft class for us

Teez and Lawson are top 15 talents imo. Crazy to me how much their stock has fallen over the past month

To get an idea of how loaded this draft is, go check out the 2013 first round. I would bet there are more quality players and pro bowlers that come out of the THIRD round in this draft

I'm guessing you're serious though. and thank you if that's the case. I'm just used to getting mocked, or my ideas getting picked apart on here, but that is only by a few specific users. I'm glad we all have different opinions. It would be so incredibly boring if we all thought the same thing

I actually agree with you. I thought Hue Jackson got the wrong end of the stick in Oakland. He's a damn good coach and has took all the right steps in building a good football team. They are getting rid of the mistakes the previous staff made and are building a team from the trenches outward. That is how you create a competitive football team. If they have a good draft, they will be dangerous within the next year or two. I'm not convinced they go QB in the first round, unless they trade back in late. I think Myles Garrett is the first selection without a doubt. Pick 12 is where it could get interesting....

They very well could go Myles Garrett then pick Rueben Foster if he is there....or a QB.....or a CB. I'm interested to watch that's for sure. If Fournette keeps falling...they could trade up for him to and become a ground and pound team with the line they have created.

Seriously. Hue is a very good coach. And they just built a line. Not to mention all their other picks this year and next, but if they add Garret plus Fournette, or Adams, or Howard, they'll be heading in the right direction in a hurry

Either way it goes we need a game changer on both sides of the ball.

We definitely do. I like Davis, Ju Ju, Ross, Williams in that order for wrs. Ross' speed with Flacco's arm is incredibly tempting though.
I'm hoping we draft Teez in the 2nd or 3rd
I'm not the biggest fan of taking Cook at 16 cuz of flags on and off the field, but he is a playmaker. And taking one at that position would be nice. Trading down and taking him would be nice but I dont see him getting past TB at 19

If they pick a QB with one of their first two pick then they are the same old Browns.

What good is wide receiver if Joe does not have time to throw? If available I hope they pick another great OL player. Otherwise go defense, don't give others time to throw either.

I think JuJu & Lawson go in the top half of Round 2 so I can't see getting both even with a trade back (probably a 3rd in return).

And I don't really care which of the 3 Centers we get - they all have talent IMO. I think we have a handshake deal with Nick Mangold and he will sign after the May comp pick deadline.

It's going to be interesting to see who falls during the draft - 1 of the S could fall - how far does Peppers fall (2nd Round possibly) - which CB falls. IMO, any of the Top 25 players could be selected anywhere from picks #2-#32. Davis, Williams, Foster, Barnett could all easily be gone before we pick or they could all easily be there when we pick.

My best guess:

1) Corey Davis, WR
2) Fabian Moreau, CB
3) Ryan Anderson, OLB
3B) Will Holden, OT
4) Ethan Pocic, C
5) Trey Hendrickson, OLB
6) Connor Harris, ILB

Don't see your 1 & 2 coming true just on health reasons alone.

we better not take no OL in first

Don't be surprised if we do. Cam Robinson is a plug and play right away, right tackle that we need. Not that it WILL happen but don't be surprised. We won't be picking at 16 anyway so if he is still there at 22-25 we could very well turn that ticket in.

In all honestly, I'm not a big fan of John Ross that much. He's just a speedster with questionable hands and we already got speed. He probably gonna be another Tavon Austin, Brandin Cooks type of a player. We need big wideouts so I like Corey Davis or Mike Williams better imo.

Cam Robinson could be a dominant guard, Not sure how he would stand up at tackle if we had to sub him in for Stanley

Agree. We need Williams or Davis considering as of now Mike Wallace is the only legitimate proven receiver on the roster.
