[News] Ravens 2017 Seven-Round Mock Draft

65 posts in this topic

Corey Davis scares me. The injury could be a blessing though that might allow him to be available at 16. I just hope he doesn't end up like Breshad (IR the first year). Overall both mocks here look good. We need CBs and the draft is deep there. And I am a big fan of the old motto "The game is won or lost in the trenches". So beef up the lines when there is a quality pick available.

Go Ravens.

My only comment is that we have so many holes to fill that I can't see us drafting a DT, when that is one position that we are deep on already. Focus on O-Line, Wide Receiver, pass rushers and DB's.

Quincy Jones in the 2nd would be great. No matter how this draft shakes out, I think our 2nd round pick will be the one that makes or breaks this draft for us.

My best guess:

1) Corey Davis, WR
2) Fabian Moreau, CB
3) Ryan Anderson, OLB
3B) Will Holden, OT
4) Ethan Pocic, C
5) Trey Hendrickson, OLB
6) Connor Harris, ILB

If Williams is still there at 16, he is a must. But something tells me that we are going to trade out of 16 to about 22-25 and pick up another 3rd rounder. Just feels that way.

I would love a peak at the Ravens draft board. OK, actually, I'd like to stare at it for a long time. That would be educational.

Hopefully the QB run starts ahead of where the Ravens pick and some talent drops down. Reuben Foster would be a great pick up at 16.

80% of the guys drafted this year will hardly play.this season. Ravens don't have a draft better than the other three teams in our division Ravens will become cellar dwellers for a long while. Then will be looking for a QB again.

I just can't see Ravens picking a wide receiver. Pass Rusher, Offensive Line Linebacker and Secondary. Receiver would mean Ozzie & company were wrong on Perriman and Moore, Is it a new fab to get in trouble these days before the draft? Foster and now https://ebonybird.com/2017/04/23/ravens-draft-take-caleb-brantley-off-draft-board/

I like Garret's mock. Clearly thought out obviously and displayed football knowledge. Ryan's first round pick is fine but the rest of them are just either reaches or he has no clue. I don't think Pocic lasts till pick 122! That alone tells me he hasn't spent the time think this draft through like Garret has. Based on last year, it is a no brainer that Garret's should be taken more seriously. I have learned to trust Garret on this website because Ryan takes too many short cuts even with spell checking his own articles.

I like Ryans draft better although nothing is wrong with Garrets. The only problem I have with Minks draft is the first pick. Not real crazy about Barnett. I'm hoping Foster falls to us.

I posted a mock yesterday similar to these with Barnett in 1 and Moton and either Henderson or Zay Jones as the 2 3rd rounders. I did have Pocic as our 2nd though, I highly doubt he'll be around in the 4th. He 'should' be the first center off the board.

My Ideal draft:

Round 1: WR Corey Davis
Round 2: OLB Carl Lawson
Round 3: CB Teez Tabor (Whatever CB falls)
Round 3: RT Roderick Johnson
Round 4: RB Kareem Hunt
Round 5: C Tyler Orlosky
Round 6: QB Brady Gustafson

What I think the Ravens will do:

Round 1: OLB Takkarist McKinley (or RT Cam Robinson on trade back)
Round 2: CB Kevin King
Round 3: DE Tanoh Kpassagnon
Round 3: C Ethan Pocic
Round 4: RB Brian Hill
Round 5: RT Darrell Williams
Round 6: WR Deangelo Yancey

I don't think we run enough zone to utilize Tabor. His stock plummeted after he ran the world's slowest 40 time and I don't think that dismisses his amazing game tape but I do think he put himself in a Joe Haden situation where he'll need to be in a lot of underneath cover 2 looks. I think he'll be better than people are expecting but I don't think he fits us well. I do love Kevin King though, super high on Tankersley and Awuzie as well.

Yea it looks like Ryan got a bit greedy. He has taken 3 players that are projected to be taken in the 2nd round. One in the 2nd, one in the 4th and one in the 5th. Of course they are just projections but thinking those guys will last that long seems a bit too optimistic.

i think the ravens will end up trading down with denver and then with KC and pick more picks.  i thinks we end up with DE Harris in with 1st rnd pick and OT Moton in 2nd rnd.

You guys that want us to spend our 1st round pick on a WR aren't thinking it through IMO. I know it seems like an obcfix to our problem on offense, but it would be like putting huge rims on a car that's a lemon. I hope we go either DL/OL/LB or TE in th first round. Honestly drafting a QB in the later rounds would be smart too. Because we need to think future QB's after flacco

There's no way in the world anyone can predict who we pick after round 1. Even mike mayock gets our 1st round picks wrong. The only one he gets right are the first handful of picks, but after round 10 it's pretty much up in the air. I'm just going to cook some food and see who we pick tomorrow lol

To early to think about a QB and other than Wallace we do not have ONE LEGITIMATE WR on the roster. Translated, we need Corey Davis or Mike Wallace.

Ben will be gone in a year or two, the Bengals will eventually/maybe win a playoff game in five years or so, and the Browns will always be five years away from being five years away.

Im gonna say this... If  browns have a great draft this year we are in trouble. Imagine if they go all all defense in first 2 rounds( which is what i would do)  or 3 defensive players and maybe fournttte if he drops to 12. That could potentially put them a QB away from competing.
