Can't remember where I heard it, but I read somewhere that it's Hue that's pushing hard for Trubisky and the FO just wants to take Garrett

yeah i heard that too - it sounds more and more like they'll take garrett and do whatever they can to ensure trubisky gets to cleveland too - which might mean trading up to 5/6

i could definitely see a situation where the panthers trade up to 2 to take fournette, the browns fake out the jets who never wanted a qb, and then the browns trade up to 8 with the 49ers again (who really want to trade back and pick up lots of picks) to get ahead of buffalo and take trubisky at 8 - it's not like the browns are short on draft capital

I just think that would be absolutely stupid for the Browns to take Trubisky with the #1 overall. They can get their QB with their second pick. If they are in love with Trubisky and they think SF is going to take him, then perhaps it makes sense. I'll love it if his name is called first.

Yes this is true no smokescreen real chance Trubisky is the first pick and Browns are leaning towards that. Multiple people have said this in the latest draft talks about the Browns.

If they do that will be a great start to the draft. That would move us toward the dream scenario of 3 QBs taken in the top 15.

If he is the #1 overall pick the Browns will regret it. But as a Ravens fan I hope they mess this pick up. Would be nice not playing Garrett 2x a year.

But the browns knew who they were picking at number 1 2 weeks ago according to sashi brown so any late draft speculation is likely smokescreen or to do with the 12th pick - especially given the fact that it seems like hue Jackson not the front office was the one who wants trubisky in stead of Garrett 

all these reports coming out in the last fortnight are almost certainly plants given the timing - I don't know where any of these guys get their info about picks this late on - so often it is untrue - why would it be true? If a teams picks/plan got leaked or a guy in the front office spoke to media and actually told them something like that and it wasn't strategic then that guy is almost certainly fired on the spot

Reason this is true because they don't know what the 49ers are going to do if they take Garrett at 1 and they take Trubisky as 2 or bills move up or Another team moves up for Trubisky then the Browns feel they might miss again on a qb which they missed up last year with Goff and Wentz.

I just don't see it - I just can't see any way that they decided trubisky was the pick almost a fortnight ago

I think 49ers is bluffing that they're taking a hard look at Mitch to scare the browns into selecting him 1st overall. Which means garrett falls into their lap

Too many are enamored with these QB's. Honestly, none of these guys should go before our pick. None are good enough. And if a case were to be made, strictly football skill speaking, Watson would be the only one worth arguing.

Browns will be the Browns and continue taking QB's until something sticks. That's a given and will probably be one QB. Other than that, I don't think another QB is taken. Unless trades start flying and teams start getting antsy. I really don't see that much of a downfall between QB's 1-6. All have their faults and upside. I don't think it is worth it to trade a draft away for any of these guys.
