Ravens Draft Goals

8 posts in this topic

What are our draft goals?? In order of priority list the ravens draft goals as in voids to be filled. And filling what voids helps the team most. Example would a NO.1 receiver and edge rusher help the team most. Then the secondary voids that help the team but not quite as much:

I like WR, Edge rusher that can be in the QBs face in a blink and a dominant offensive lineman be it Right Tackle/Center. Followed by an inside LB/Defensive back. Of course debates could be made to rearrange these positions around. Cases could be made for almost any position

That's not a kind thing to say.

I think it's probably:

1: A receiver that compliments Wallace and Perriman.

MWill, Corey Davis, JuJu, etc would be great

2: RT/C/G

I feel like the FO likes our in-house options for at least one of the open spots on the line, and the other starter will prob come from the draft. Or maybe we sign Mangold for a year, ya never know.

3: Edge Rusher

I'm perfectly fine with Suggs and Judon as the starting OLBs. There's no doubt in my mind that Suggs can still play at a high level, and I really like Judons potential, but behind them I don't see much, as I don't even think ZDS is worthy of a roster spot at this point.

4: CB

Need depth for now and a starter for the future.

5: DL

I really think we will be fine here, I think Urban can make a big impact and replace Guy. I feel like one of Davis, Henry, Kaufusi etc has to turn out to be a starting caliber player, but just in case, we should probably grab another in the draft.

1. Pass Rush

2. C (which i think comes in FA), so RT

3. WR

4. CB depth, future starter

5. LB

6. Depth everywhere

Wr is probably the most dire for now and the future.

Edge rusher has a pretty bleak future, if Judon does well then we should be ok for now

the OL is probably the most important dire area of need.

You could throw a dart at our draft board and be pretty assured you will hit a position of need.

I want physical, passionate  players who absolutely love studying, practicing and playing football.

1. WR - Flacco needs better than just decent receivers. It's also the one position the Ravens can't draft well and getting one of the top, more established ones would be more ideal imo. The FO has shown they can find and develop OL and pass rushers in almost every round, not WRs though. Perriman is the only even semi-dependable receiver for the future.

2. Edge - A consistent presence off the edge could make this defense elite. Suggs is getting older and playing less. Judon is the only future piece there.

3. OL - Must find a new starter at LG/RT. Center could use an upgrade too, especially vs the run. Yanda, Stanley and Lewis is a really good start though.

4. CB - There's actually a lot of talent here. Just age and injury concerns. So many good corners in this class.
