The thing about Williams he catches the ball with such ease AWAY from his body and in traffic. Thats what the Ravens need. But I like Davis speed a lot and their body are similar. Jeremiah posted a video of Davis (because we don't know his true 40) but he outrace a CB (who ran a 4,4/4-5) and it was not even close. The Ravens also need a guy who can can separation and just get lots of yards from a simple Slant, hook or things like that. Most of the team, Ravens WR outside of Steve Smith couldnt break a tackle just like Antonio Brown or OBJ would do. I think right now Davis has the edge because he's a bit more dynamic.

Wallace was actually the most effect slant runner in the NFL last year in terms of Averages Yards per route run.

I like Davis, and like him more than i did.

But - i think we need the big, physical clutch catcher who just gets the ball. You dont need as much separation of no CB can get the ball from you. Williams is just so good at using his body, boxing out, catching the ball at its highest and earliest point... his hands are huge and so is his catch radius.

Thats what we need for Joe who can put the ball anywhere on the field and push the ball through tiny tiny windows so long as it doesnt have to hit the WR in stride. He'll get it in the area, he just needs a guy who can from time to time bail him out by opening the window up a bit.

Williams is like a slightly less physical Boldin but bigger and with enough speed to get down the field and be a vertical threat.

If Mike Williams and Barnett are off the board, then I think the pick will be Lamp.

what if jonathan allen is available at 16?

Then we draft him no questions asked and laugh our way to the bank. He'd be an upgrade over Jernigan in the long run and a potential stud to build around.

This seems like a tough draft to predict our pick, made tougher by the fact that I think there's about a 50% chance we trade down.

I'm going to lean Cam Robinson. This is based on our reported interest from Pauline and Campbell, the need for a LG, Robinson's capability to play LG, the Ravens' desire to build an elite Cowboys-like OL as suggested by Matt Miller, and the Ozzie-Bama favoritism. Plus it's a reach, so he's likely to be available at #16. I hope I'm wrong, but it all reminds me of the Mosley pick where everything just seemed to line up way ahead of the draft.

It has to be Corey Davis. Even if it means giving up a round3 to move up. The dude can do it all. I don't care about his school and competition. If we don't draft him and he blows up the NFL as a rookie the collateral damage will trash managements rep. A WR that will get better with experience next year as opposed to slower like the over the hill retreads. He can win on every level. He doesn't have as many contested catches as mike Williams because Corey can separate. When he blows it up the fans that wanted to draft him will go ballistic calling for the regime fired. The fans calling for anybody else to be ravens pick will all say it wanted Corey Davis after he blows up the league. and join in the hailstorm totally thrashing management!!

If Ravens draft Cam Robinson that means

Ravens think Cam Robinson is better than Forrest Lamp or Forrest Lamp is off the board. I think neither of these are/will be true.
