Loving it so far.  Hoping we make some moves for OL, but if this defense healthy can't close out games it will be a damn shame.  Offense will go as the line does.  What you think?

I have mixed feelings at the moment. Really had my heart set on one of the three WR yesterday. Humphrey, I feel the same as I did about Mosely when we took him...great talent but not a glaring need. But considering what was left on the board, 100% he was the right pick. Actually liked all of our picks aside from Bowers, but that's probably because I know little about him.

Our offense is screwed. Even if we get Mangold and Boldin, unless Perriman steps up and we find a 3rd day gem at OG or RT, we're in for a long year on offense.

My new advice to Marty?

Dude, just quit. Your boss doesn't care about offense.

Just watch. He will be fired next spring and blamed for our defencienies on offense.

I'm not his biggest fan but he surely has to have another years grace.

Really wanted Williams, but I actually think Perelman takes off this season... if he can make it last TC healthy.  Huge concerns about the OL.  Would've loved Howard, but like you said, I think Marlin was the right choice.

If our defense becomes elite from the way this draft and offseason has been going, I think we just need field goals to win.

Our offense is so screwed, but then our offense sucks anyways since Kubiak.

Take Pees too, if he can't lead this defensive warhorse to water and drink the blood of its opponents.

Wouldn't that be a good reason to invest in it, though? Our defense was really good last season and that got us only an 8-8 record.

The Ravens went 8-8 because Jimmy Smith went down. They just got Jimmy Smith insurance and two pass rushers.

The Ravens likely would have been in the playoffs if Jimmy Smith wasn't injured.

My advice would be .... draft a QB.

And you would do what with the QB? Unless you draft a QB who can be converted into a WR, I would not be inclined to follow your advice with all due respect for your sage-like wisdom. There is a precedent in the NFL for drafting QBs and converting them to receivers. I that's what you mean, I'm on board with that idea but something tells me you want to convert Joe Flacco into a WR. Which is it? BTW, didn't we draft a QB from Navy last year?

What a joke. The Ravens have no standout talent at any skill group on offense or reliable depth (aside from a handful of barely passable TEs). I know, draft a new QB; surely the situation will change...

I actually think the offense will be better this year than last year.

Unless flacco does a complete 180 it won't be..we lost our best wr and our starting rt and center.

Our best running back is suspended four games. Our only fullback who was actually very effective in the short passing game our co ordinator loves is gone.

If our offense is good flacco surely has to be in contention for mvp. There's no other way round it.

It will also take perriman becoming aj green

New advice...

find ways to make your current roster work. 1 TD and 1 FG per game should do it 😁

A little consistency goes a long way. Flacco coming back at full strength will help. Perriman getting a full offseason will help. If Moore develops and Camp stays healthy the receiving corps will be fine. Im somewhat concerned about the OL, but Boyle will do a fine job in Juice's role- especially in the passing game.

Looking back on it, Biscotti said he doesn't want to have to score 28 to win a game. I think the Ravens want to score a solid amount of points to win games. Look at the prime of this Ravens team from 2008-2012. We never had an elite offense ever, just a good enough offense that was able to put up more than 15-20. That's all we needed because our defense was so good that we consistently held people under 20, on many occasions under 15. I think the Ravens want to get back to that, Im not trying to justify the Ravens lack of action on the offensive end, but my guess is that the team just feels Joe, Breshad and the TEs are going to get better, if both guys break out, then we should at least be able to field a top 15 offense.

Boyle is one failed drug test away from a years ban. You can't just keep assuming these young guys will step up. We've relied on them before and been let down constantly on offense

Yeah, but they also lost a good RT and the best WR on their roster. The defense, that was already top 10, is getting upgraded and an offense that struggled for much of the season is getting weaker.

Auto correct butchered me.

I think Flacco will be fine.  There was a noticeable difference in his game as the season progressed.  The center move isn't a big deal to me, but Wagner will be missed in pass pro.  I really, really think that Perriman takes a huge step this year.  He's shown he has the tools and I think the FO believes he'll elevate his game with a full off season.  Also, a healthy Camp is pretty damn good in the slot, but as we all know...

We probably win the Raiders, Jets and Pitt game if we have another competent outside CB.  Hell probably also win Giants if Jimmy doesn't get hurt that game.  One cb shouldn't affect a record the much, but for our defense it did.  The top 10 number was deceiving by seasons end.  It was credit built up from earlier because everything fell apart the last 4-6 games.

Odell had 1 catch and 1 fumble with Jimmy Smith against him in the first half. Jimmy got injured and in the second half Odell had over 200 yards.

This team could've won 3-4 more games with a better corner last season.
