If fournette falls anywhere close to 14 Ozzie is ringing phones off the hook because either philly or Indy would be certain to snatch him up.

Not happening though, I don't see fournette falling past SF and jax

I don't think he goes quite that high, but I don't see him falling out of the top ten.

Based on rumors and all, but of course those are just rumors. Rb isn't what it used to be 5-8 years ago, teams want that workhorse again. I guess the pats getting back to running the ball changed everyone's minds.

I think the Cowboys had a bigger impact in that regard. I just don't see him going in the top five because of the needs of those teams, and who else will be available. Though he definitely doesn't make it past the Panthers.

Prediction: We will not draft a player who has any sort of off feild concern in the past year in the first round

This includes any history with drugs, DV or rape(obviously), recent injury, or even diluted sample

This takes players like Cam Robinson, Tim Williams, Reuben Foster, Jabrill Peppers, Corey Davis, Takk Mckinley, and Ryan Ramzcyk off the list....probably John Ross too

Jonathan Allen is kinda in that in between category with his shoulders

We will target a PERFECTLY CLEAN prospect and he will be in the building during the selection.

.....making our 16th overall selection.....*drum roll please*.....

Hasaan Reddick Linebacker Temple

Well Reddick was arrested for an off field arrest.  Not 100% clean but manageable.  Just saying.

If we look at a wider picture, most of the best team last year had a good run game: Pit, Dal, NE, Atl..

I don't think Fournette should go as high as #4, either but with Jacksonville lacking useful weapons and the kid being a great pass protector as well it must be hard to pass on him.

especially if they are sticking with bortles - they'll want to take the pressure off him as much as possible

DRAFT DAY BABY!!!!!

Man im excited. All the rumors and predictions will be exposed tonight as true or false.

This is the most excited I've ever been for a draft and the deepest I've ever studied prospects. I cannot wait. Gonna be the longest work day ever.

And heading down into the city at 5 to experience my first draft ever live in person.

Bold prediction -- i get booed a lot for wearing my Ravens jersey. Maybe if i wear my Torrey jersey they given me a pass.

Anyway we draft edge rusher in the first then someone like Tim Williams, Malik McDowell or carl Lawson is there with our 2nd pick. Do we double dip at pass rusher?

Ryan Anderson will prove to be the best pro taken out of Alabama. It won't even be debatable.

Ravens trade up in the first round to draft Corey Davis.

This is super bold considering we have only 7 picks this year :D

Corey Davis will get drafted top15 maybe top10. His tape is to good. He could be drafted as a BPA by any team even those that don't need a WR. Bengals/Bills could even  draft him

yea how funny would that be - we dont take Cam Robinson in the 1st and go for someone everyone around here loves...

and then in 3 years Cam is the most dominant RT or OG in the league and an All Pro and the guy we drafted is a bust or constantly injured.

Nightmares of Courtney upshaw over Alston Jeffrey and Cordy Glenn *shudders*

except we didn't really want upshaw. Who did we pass on for Arthur brown?

Dj Swearinger, Travis Kelce, Tyrann Mathieu, Larry Warford, and Terron Armstead among others.

Thats why fans should trust ozzie over their own opinion

Thats why i do.

I usually give myself a minute or 2 to be upset; curse a few times and blow off some steam....

But then i let my better judgement prevail and decide that if the professionals felt that was the better pick then ill trust it until proven otherwise. The reality is even with all the info in the world and the best personnel evaluators on your team -- the draft is still largely a crap shot, a lottery of sorts. You get a few tickets, earlier ones have bigger jackpots and much higher percentage of at least winning some money.... but they all still bust at a more than 50% ratio.

Id rather get on board, be optimistic and root for our pick to succeed than hold on to some silly notion that im better at picking prospects than our team... or some grudge just in the hopes that in 3 years our pick will fail, the team will be worse just so i can say "I told ya so"

though it seems theres quite a few around here who prefer to do the latter

@BOLDnPurPnBlacK exactly. Too much pessimism around here calling a player a bust before he even plays a snap in the NFL

ill say ill be guilty of it if the pick is taco charlton - i of course will eventually be able to turn myself onto it but it might take longer than usual in some cases - it of course all depends on who's left on the board when we pick

i dont believe in Taco at all. Not a fan. and ill hate it at first.

But same thing... i recognize that some are really high on him, and that there is a possibility he becomes a very very good player. So ill forget it eventually and hope Ozzies right and im wrong. Thats morel ikely anyways. And Ill just decide to root for him to become his absolute best.

bold prediction: we're taking Forrest Lamp at 16 - yes I'm only saying that because I want $10,000 and I thought Lamp was realistic and wouldn't have a lot of votes.
