No, No, and NO! We don't need another injury prone player. We've had enough of them already.

Though I do no think Latimore will fall to the Ravens, he doesnt seem to be the right match up for the Ravens.
I think the Ravens find thier CB in the later rounds.

Free Agency was all defense and we needed all the help we could get. Now it's the offense and we need a TE and Howard from Ala. is it. Trade up and get this guy, cut all our TE benchwarmers. Then go for a LB and/or Edge rusher. There are plenty of other WR's in the later rounds and we know WR's are NOT Ozzie's best choices so why waste another #1 or #2 on someone who will washout or have a year/career ending injury.
Draft for need not the so called best on the board crap.

I'm not sure what mocks have him falling to us. I've scanned 20 different mocks and only one has him out of the top 10 and that is at 13. The majority have him going either 3rd or 5th.

I'm not as eager to give up on the investment we've made in the draft and FA at the TE position. Whether because of health or suspension, Williams and.Boyle haven't had sufficient opportunity to prove whether they are going to be players or not and to give up on them would be premature. I think it will be interesting to see what they can do if given a full camp and season. So unless O.J. is going to become a generational player at TE, I just don't know about our taking him.

As far as WR goes - are Mike WIlliams and/or Corey Davis going to be top WRs? If so - how about we take one? They both seem to be the exact kind of wide out we need - big and physical who can work the middle of the field and move the chains. This unwillingness a segment of the fan base to have Ozzie take a WR early is silly. He's done it so rarely it is sort of hard to call what he's done a failure.

If the Ravens were to go up to get Howard then why make him just a TE? He has the speed and talent of a WR.
The Ravens have plenty of room for receivers no matter what skill set they may be locked into.

I see Howard a s much a viable candidate as any player on the top board. The keys to a deal are in the "deal".
If Howard can be brought to a draft deat as a Raven, then do it.

Once he is a Raven then make a decision who stays and who goes. Certainly one player does not replace a squad. No rookie is without trial and subject to NFL level of play.

Lastly, the player who makes the team better by his contribution will be the correct pick. Lets hope that is the case for 1-7 for the Ravens.

Now with all that said, I like your idea mixed with mine.
Go up and get Howard if he is worth the deal.

If he is available, get him and I say the Ravens don't do anything. Keep everyone through camp.
Boyle can be a FB option, Gilmore is a blocking TE, Pitta and Howard are your possession TE. Waller is your Slot/ TE/WR
BUT Howard can Flex to Slot/ Wide out. So now you have deception

This is what NE does with Gronk only Howard is even faster than Gronk and he can actually be a WR who lines up as the TE.

Lastly Waller can learn the same plays, this would be a great way to utilize play calling with player option and deception. Getting him more involved.

Williams and Watson will have to earn their way on the team.

Thanks but no thanks to another injury prone uber talented player. We need to draft availability and talent more than talent and special teams ability this year. Listening Harbs?

Ozzie makes the draft selections, not Harbs.

If you noticed the articles, it seems like Ozzie is passing the tourch. Doing the right seat left seat ride.

You think? I only wish that were entirely true. While it is Ozzie that makes the final call, he isn't going to ignore the wishes of his HC. Also, what reason could there possibly be for Harbaugh to be present at the pre-draft presser if weren't involved in the process?

doesnt matter cause we have no offense in a offensive league. Our organization is still stuck in the past. another draft where ozzie gonna spend all of our picks on defense and lineman and not draft any skill players and the skill position. Blame flacco all u want but you cant give him garbage WR and expect greatness
