Christian McCaffery

McCaffery is now apparently being slated as a top 10 pick. I think it's rather interesting how rapidly his stock is rising. I just don't really see it.

Peter Schrager on Twitter says "Here's one for Wednesday night. Heard from multiple front office execs over last few days. Feeling is now Christian McCaffery goes Top 10."

Well i guess if you're confident he can run between the tackles... in the right offense he can be a very dynamic weapon.

I am not confident in him doing that unless in an offense like New England, Saints, etc. I definitely don't see him as a Raven.

Oh im not either... just can see why a team in the Top 10 might take him.

If they're convinced in their offense he'll be effective enough between the tackles, and will take advantage of moving him around then he could be pretty dynamic.

Yep and out of the teams in front of the Ravens I can only see a couple of them that I could potentially see McCaffery going.

Saints and Eagles are the only ones that I can see ahead of Baltimore. And those teams have holes everywhere on their team it will be a crap shoot come draft day.

If he goes top 10, I'll be stunned. Honestly, if he does and at least 2 QBs are also taken ahead of us, I'll be pleased. That just pushes some of the tier 1 defensive talent down to us.

I love McCaffrey on the field. But he's a 200 pound running back and 200 pound running backs don't go in the top ten- even the really good ones.

Fournette to Jags, Cook to Eagles.

I could see the Saints taking him, but they really need defense.

Also, the Colts really need offensive line help, So i can see them taking McCaffery

Jeremiah had mcaffrey going to the panthers - I think that's too too rich for me but I could see maybe dalvin cook going at 8 and maybe mccaffrey going to the eagles in stead...

Cook could go to the panthers, but i think they go a different direct, maybe defense.  Dont they need OL help?  But there isnt a OL worth the 8th pick imo.

I think McCaffery ends up on the Saints, he could be like what Bush was for them and even throw him in the slot with the loss of Cook

I see Fournette going to the Panthers. The Saints likely go with Foster, Barnett, or Reddick. Whichever is left on the board when they pick.

Yea, the saints do need a lot of help on defense.  Foster if there makes sense, but i wouldnt be surprised if Titans take Foster with their top pick

I really think the Jags select Jonathan Allen and not Fournette. Fournette has a chance to go to the Jets, but if they pass on him he could slide. I'm just hoping that his butt is slippery on draft day and he slides right down to us!

I would be up for Fournette for sure, if Williams is off the board.

Not really interested in Fournette. I think Dixon should be an elite running back. And I like Davis better than Mike. Far better that is

In my view, although I love Mike Williams I wouldn't pick him if Fournette is available. In my view, Fournette alters our offense much more with his presence than Williams would and I mean in a dramatic way.

Define elite? Top 5?

Yea, i do agree that Fournette would bring something we drastically need in this offense: a guy who will touch the ball 20+ times and just make plays.  I fear with the lack of consistent OL play, Fournette wont be the difference make we hope.   Williams, however, can be Joe's guy for the next 5 years at least and contest jump balls, a great redzone threat.  But, to each their own

I hope he goes top 10. Or at least top 15. That would help us out tremendously. Even more so if 3 rbs go top 15. Make a better player fall to us at 16

McCaffrey will likely go top 15. Then again he could slip and go after us, but I'm hoping the eagles take him or maybe even the colts. He projects as a dual threat kinda guy due to his great route running and hands. I don't think he would or should get more than 10-12 carries with a lot of split out snaps.

It'd be funny if the Colts took him. They won't protect Luck by improving their line, and instead just make a rookie running back run behind that same line.

Ya that's where I think they might have finally gotten smart and will have a cowboys like approach for the next few years and take o lineman. I could easily see them taking Lamp or Ramcyzk.

I'm betting on Ramcyzk in the first for them, someone to stop edge rushers. They'll grab a top interior guy later on, like an Elflien or Asiata.

By elite I mean Leshaun McCoy caliber or very similar.  Dixon breaks a lot of tackles for a runner known to be shifty and elusive. Bigger running back than most think at 5'10 nearly 220lbs.  He has potential to be a 1800-2000 all purpose yards player.  He is a very good receiver with some acrobatic playmaking skills. Lots potential.

I think that he has potential to be good he flashed some, but I do fear of his lack of breakaway speed to be kind of concerning. He seemed to break off some good runs and get caught from behind. I know on tape in college that was one of his cons, and I think it showed last season. Let's hope he gets some needed added burst and hope that he is healthy coming in at week 5.

He does break tackles and seems to always get an extra 5 yards when it seems hes going down.  But i cant see anything that makes me think he can be what Rice was for us, for some reason i see a Duke Johnson  in Dixon, im just not sold on him.....yet.

I would rather have a runner that is better sideline to sideline, like  McCoy than a straight ahead runner.  Barry Sanders wasnt that fast, i believe he ran a  4.5ish, ill take his skill set over a Chris Johnson anyday lol
