Am I Wrong..

34 posts in this topic

Usually, after a game, it takes me around fifteen or so minutes to be over it. But I'm STILL upset. People are posting positive threads, and I'm almost angry at them to dare to say that next year will be better, let's be proud of our team, etc. It's not that I think they're wrong, I guess I'm just mad because I can't feel that way. What can I do to feel more optimistic?

Dont think we are not still upset about this game. This is going to take a while to swallow but there is no reason to go bashing our players and coaches and hell even the refs. We just lost.

Darren Stone, however is in the doghouse and shall remain there.

I still get mad at the Steelers' 94 AFC title loss to the Chargers.

And Super Bowl XXX

And the 97 AFC Title game against the Broncos

And the 01 AFC Title game against the Patriots

And the 04 AFC Title game against the Patriots..

Bottom line is that losing championship games hurt, and always will. But it makes winning them all the sweeter.

No. This one will take awhile to get over. It was a great season and I will remember 2008 as such, but I am numb right now.

What kind of feedback should we be posting? I really can't think of any player or coach to bash, or even refs. I'm just mad at everything. lol..I'm sorry..I know I sound like a baby.

Yes! That! Right there! 'people not wanting us/expecting us', that right there. All week long I've heard how much the Ravens suck. And damnit for once those slobbering jackasses were right, at least today. Maybe that's why I'm so mad....not at the players.

It's in the past, Go Cards.

I take pleasure in the fact that Warner would still be on the bench if we hadn't smacked the crap outta Leinhart.

Try to have the perspective that there are literally millions of fans of other teams that didn't get one tenth of the satisfaction we got out of this season. And we have SO MUCH POTENTIAL going forward.

This feeling may not go away until we start seeing training camp footage next year. That's fine, though. You have to have the down times. Just think of how much sweeter it will be when we finally get back to the big one and win it.

For now, concentrate your energy on praying for Ray Lewis to get resigned and for every Raven to become healthy ASAP (McGahee included, obviously). As long as we have Ray's heart and brain on this team, we have a real shot at the title every year.

Going against the vaunted AFC South and NFC East, with the much improved Raiders on our schedule. 2 games was the popular choice for us. LOL. We sure showed em.

Yes this was an amazing season and i never thought it would go this far. I still remember opening day and wondering "what? the rookie is starting?" and look how far we made it... the AFC Championship game. I can think of so many things I would love to point the blame at for the loss, but honestly its pointless. What an accomplishment for Harbaugh, his staff and the players. Just goes to show what a first class organization we have here in Baltimore. As much as this loss hurts, honestly its probably the most painful loss i've experienced mostly because I truly believed this was our year to make history, I know we will be back. This is only the beginning of a great legacy. And im sorry but I absolutely refuse to root for the steelers in the super bowl. GO CARDINALS!

Yea, I guess that's true. Even though the media will act like it was 'luck' that got us there, the only luck I see this season is how lucky OTHER teams were that we were never truly healthy, and that that stupid hurricane happened.

Ah, everyone here is upset, including the ones who are being positive. Being optimistic doesn't mean you can't be upset that we lost tonight.

I understand. I guess I'm the guy who's gotta be one or the other. Once I'm done being upset, I'll be all over next year. I guess it's just a matter of when.

I could never cheer for the Steelers. I'd cheer for the Redskins first. And I've hated the Redskins my whole life.

Hey guys...we were "overachievers" this year with a "rookie" QB and HC. We flew under the radar and surprised everyone, including ourselves. Personally I thought we would go at least 10-6 all the time, and to go 11-5 was a plus. We defeated alot of playoff caliber and high powered teams this year, not to mention the #1 seed in the Titans last week.

We have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to be ashamed of and can be NOTHING BUT PROUD...this may not have been the greatest group of individuals we have ever fielded, in sum total, but this was the greatest TEAM we have EVER fielded as Ravens...they were together in the locker room and played like brothers and for that they can hold their heads high and we need to give them the highest praise!!!

Under Harbaugh, Cameron, Ryan, Rosberg and others we became a TEAM. All I can say is look out from now on NFL, because the Ravens were great, but I believe they took that greatness to another level this year, and laid a foundation for an even greater tomorrrow!!!

I think I'd cheer for the refs to just close the game if had to cheer for the deadskins vrs. squeelers.

Actually that's not true I think I cheered for them last year when they were the underdogs.

Is it overly pessimistic to think that we're probably not going to be here next year?

I'm not really that mad & I wasn't that mad when we lost. I was disappointed after that last interception because we could've drove down the field and went up atleast by one but I look at the Lions and then look back where we were one year ago from today and then look at us today and it makes me proud of my rookie QB and my rookie coach. We set history and if we can go to the Championship game with a rookie head coach and a rookie QB think what we can do what a veteran John and a veteran Joe. IUt can only get better from here because last year was our down point

Get over it guys...In life there are winners and losers...but we weren't really losers to have given it all and just fallen a little short...all I can say is more power to Ozzie Newsome and crew to bring back as much of this team as we can, and have a killer draft and free agency and LOOK OUT NEXT YEAR!!!

I think we are truthfully just one top flight defensive end, and one monster outside linebacker short, and possibly one prototypical wide receiver short of a MONSTER SEASON.

We are strong in those areas, we just need to take it to the next level.

Borderline foolish! If we did this with a rookie QB, rookie HC, and 16 guys on the IR (among them McAlister, Gregg and Landry), how much better are we going to be after a full year in the NFL for the rookies and a healthy team?

And that's not even factoring in the guys we pick up in the Draft/Free Agency. Keep your head up man, next year will be even better than this year.
