Just curious does anyone else have a significant other that complains about the time you spend on this site. My wife has often made comments about me being on "the Ravens blog." It drives her crazy when I bring the laptop to the dining table during games and post comments while I eat and watch the games. lol

I think the bigger question is what the heck are you doing at the dining table during games?   :P

My wife makes a big spread of all kinds of munchies (fried foods that are very unhealthy) on Sundays during football season. I am not coordinated enough to handle a plate, eat, and work a laptop from the couch. Trust me, the big screen TV in the living room is very visible from the dining room table. :D

Here is another one for you Ravens fanatics: Do any of you yell like maniacs during the games (especially the Ravens, Steelers, and Patriots)? My wife says that I can be heard by all the neighbors walking by my house and they "must think I am a mental case." I do tend to get a little crazy when I am in my house watching the game. Who am I kidding, she is right, I do yell like I lost my mind. Please tell me I am not the only one..........lol.

I really do have a serious blood pressure problem, I was on 4 meds, but was able to lower it to 3. Since it is rare with our offense that we ever blow anyone out, my pressure can really spike during games and I get terrible headaches. If we lose, I really take our loses hard, and talking on this website is very therapeutic for me. I am going to miss these boards so much!!!!

I don't really yell out loud during games, but I get upset internally and I'm screaming in my head whenever we lose.

Ok, I will admit to one last thing. I am superstitious and I won't sit on one side of the couch during games. I feel like if I do, I will cause the Ravens to lose. I know others have admitted to some of these things during the game day threads. Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread, I guess I just want to convey that when I am on here with all you fellow Ravens fans, I really mean this from my heart, I feel like you all are a part of my family and are actually here in my living room with me. I hope that does not sound too crazy. I think I am going to miss the game day thread the most. It won't be the same on Sunday's not having my man Zeus ask me what is in my glass.

I understand, if I am watching the game at a bar I try to tone it way down, especially when I am at a bar in Pittsburgh at Christmas (yes my wife is a Steelers fan and her family still lives up there). I do wear my Ravens jersey at the bar but I always wear my jacket in the bar until after my food comes, then I take off my coat. My wife thinks I am too paranoid. :D

My husband is a Saint during football season, Mod 3 will vouch for it.  We have a hard fast rule,  my family's tolerant from August to February BUT after the Superbowl my potty mouth goes away along with the kids and my husband coming down to leave for work and I'm at the computer. Usually the kids would get check for lunch and I made sure everything was signed in the back packs, then  I'd go upstairs and crash until 1300, shower and pick the kids up from school.  Prior to 2003 when I still worked part time it was UGLY, really ugly.

We have a huge spread because I used to have a house full of friends and neighbors but that's down to a small amt of people, but still make a lot of food and my 'kids' are four boys from 30 to 6, so it ALL goes.  I tend  to throw stuff, so I was not allowed to be on line except half time until I got a tablet lol

My 21 yo was six weeks old when the team arrived, so he is quite the fan, when he was little, 7 or 8 my brother sat him with them and he smacked talked Eagle fans up until they left, they thought he was funny,  I'm not sure if y'all remember after Superbowl XXXV, there were Kiosks set up and people selling their wares, my husband would stop after work because he was a huge  collector of everything Ravens, especially pins and tee-shirts I still have some I've never worn.  It was getting to be March and this one guy wanted to pack up and go home.  He had 20 plus shirts and sold them to my husband for a buck a piece, my son lived in Ravens shirts for 3 or four years And I had the school call and wanted to know if we washed his shirt every night.  I was so embarassed, but this came under the heading of pick your battles lol  He still wears team stuff and has been known to 'borrow' my stuff until he out grew it lol

Yeah I remember all those tents set up in lots around the Baltimore Area after we won Super Bowl XXXV. I remember buying a "Who Let the Dogs Out?" t-shirt in a grocery store right before the game. lol My worst episode of throwing things was coming home from a long trip and I was listening to a game on Sirius radio. We were playing Jacksonville and I thought it was a game we were going to win easy and they kept hanging around and taking the lead back. Our offense kept turning the ball over and I kept getting angrier and angrier. When we lost the lead again late in the 4th quarter, I ripped the radio off the windshield and threw it against the dashboard and split the plastic on the dashboard. It was an old beater car, so it was not a big deal, and thank God the radio was not damaged, but my wife was so mad at me and I felt so bad and wished so hard that I could take back what I had done. I was just so frustrated by the game and let my emotions get the best of me. It was a while ago and my memory is cloudy, but I think we may have actually won that game at the end or in OT. I did learn a lesson from that and if I ever start getting that angry now over a game I turn it off or walk away. I have not thrown anything since that day.

A side note: My Steelers wife hates Tom Brady and the Patriots. She was so mad when the Patriots tied the game in the Super Bowl against the Falcons she turned off the TV and went to bed. She was so bitter! She did not want Tom Brady to have more wins than Terry Bradshaw or Joe Montana (a hero of hers). I (of course) understood her point of view, but I did not have as much skin in the game, as I did not want Matt Ryan to get a Super Bowl ring either because I think it is awesome that Joe Flacco (the quarterback taken after Matt Ryan in the draft) has one but the great "Matty Ice" does not. As much as I dislike Brady, I also dislike hearing about the Steelers six Lombardi's from my Raven-hating in-laws. So if the Patriots ever do win one more, I won't be happy about it, but it wouldn't kill me as bad as it would those Steelers fans!

The only other time I had an incident was during the "Mile High Miracle Game." I was in a bar in Southern Delaware (which is actually Eagles country) with my Ravens gear and my wife was in all her Steelers gear (of course). This guy across the bar was in a Romanowski Bronco's jersey and he was drunk and just started starring at me and talking trash. I can't express in words what a loud mouth jerk this guy was and do it justice. I just ignored him because I am not a good trash talker because I go right to "let's take it outside" (when it comes to these kind of drunk jerks) and I had a few drinks myself. However, he was ticking off my wife (who had my back) with his trash talking and she started giving it to the guy about wearing the jersey of a player who spit on a guy. So of course it just escalated and just got worse when it looked like the Ravens were done. I kept calm even though I never wanted the Ravens to win a game so badly in my life! Well the rest is history, Jacoby's catch and our win in OT. Because of the situation, for me, that was the greatest Ravens win of all time (Super Bowls included), because after all that trash talk and disrespect to my wife it was now my turn :D because he was at the back of the bar and had to walk toward me! So I stood by the door and stared directly at him and said, "Hey mouth what have you got to say now?" The guy kept his eyes at the floor and gently scooted around me and went to his car and didn't say a word. Whoever coined the old English proverb, "He who laughs last, laughs best" was sooooooo damn right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That game was awesome. I was watching at home with my family and everyone left when there was about a minute left. I just sat at the tv to watch the end of Ray's career. When Jacoby scored the td, I was like :o "ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! it's tied!" and everyone came running back to watch. That was probably the most emotional I've ever been during a game.

Same here, probably the only time Ive literally jumped out of my seat cheering, jumping up and down.

My best bar experience was being in a bar full of Patriots fans in Tampa when we beat them to face SF. I was the only Ravens fan.

My funniest experience was at some sports restaurant with a lot of tvs on a random Sunday. The Ravens were only on one tv and I made sure we sat by that tv. Well some Cowboys fans were complaining they couldnt see their game on a tv across the restaurant and got the waitress to change the channel. Luckily Im a bit of a techy person and knew my phone had an IR blaster in it to control tvs if I knew the brand. I couldn't change the channel because I didnt have the satellite box in sight, but I could power off the tv. So I waited until a big moment was about to happen (it was either a game winning fg or lead changing attempt by Bailey). Right before he kicked it, I turned the tv off. It was soo funny listening to those guys complain.

Since the board is closing anyway, profanity should be uncensored on the last day, eh!? :D

My whole neighborhood (except that one Steelers fan) erupted after that game.  We were outside making all kinds of racket and one family was even setting off fireworks.  Best spontaneous block party ever.

My neighbor set off fireworks every time the Ravens scored during the playoff run. That whole run was one of my favorite memories of Ravens football.
