The 6-foot-6 Alabama blocker would step in quite nicely for departed Rick Wagner, but will his off-the-field troubles be too problematic to warrant a mid-first-round pick?

the strengths and weakness sound like they are comparing two different guys.

Taking a dominant OL player at #16 makes a lot of sense... there are some questions that would need to be answered about this guy, however.

If there are no playmakers at 16 that can help us at CB, WR, or OLB I wouldn't be opposed to taking a OT especially now that we have lost 3 starters in Zuttah, Wags, and Ducasse.

If youre gonna take this guy, you could trade back, get another pick or two and still grab this guy or the center from Ohio State.

Absolutely. If he's the best player on your board then why not trade back. I'm still holding on to the hope that one of the top 12 players falls to us. I'm also hoping we sign a Mangold or trade for a proven C for everyone's sake. I hate rookie Centers

Let's take a guy who likes to carry weed and guns around with him...in college. Sounds logical. A guy with a gun cruising around Baltimore sounds like a great plan. There is no denying his talent and he would be an excellent fit on the right bookend, but I think he is too risky of a pick at 16.

I admit the arrest concerns me, but if we traded back and then picked this guy up, I would like the pick. We could use another tackle and IMHO this year's draft is not as deep at that position for NFL ready guys.

Read the facts. Cam didn't have weed or a gun. One of the guys that was in the backseat, stashed it under the seat (when he left). When the cops showed up, the passenger actually turned the gun over to the police immediately. It's why the DA dropped all charges. You think a Louisiana cop is gonna give a break to an Alabama player? If you get pulled over for speeding in Pittsburgh with a MD tag & a Ravens bumper sticker - you're not getting off with a warning......

I wouldn't mind him at 16. Kid dominated all of the pass rusher in the draft from the SEC. Even handled "generational talent" Myles Garrett for the entire game except for 1 play. Can easily play LG or RT and is the big, nasty mauler that you want. Game tape reminds me of KO.

In fact, here's the scouting report from both:

KO:
"Osemele is an extremely strong, natural run blocker. He is explosive off the line and can visibly jolt defenders back. Once engaged, he can ignite a powerful leg drive to keep defenders at bay. If Osemele can learn to play with consistency and channel his explosiveness, he could be an overwhelming blocker who is dominant at the next level."

Cam:
"Outstanding, proportional frame with combination of thickness and athleticism. Fires into his target with a forceful pop generating early power and push. Can uproot defender and turn him out of hole as a drive blocker. Able to respond to power with power. Can work seamlessly from block to block in combos. Works and climbs to second level with controlled, stalking footwork. Has initial quickness to pull and land on defenders in space. Athletic enough to slide over and catch inside challenges. Usually works feet into position pre-contact in run game. Good length and gets adequate extension in his punch.

Is it risky to take a guy that's stupid enough to smoke half a gram of weed in his car with 3 friends. Yeah I won't argue that part. I'd like to reduce the risks when drafting someone with our first round pick. I just like you to know he's not the first or last college kid to have weed with him or someone in his car. Your critisim here is fair.

On the other hand, your narrative of "a guy with a gun cruising around in Baltimore" is such a misinformed, ill advised, ignorant, statement.. It's actually a bit insulting when you say it like anyone with a gun is gonna drive around shooting at kids or something. i don't mean to insult you in any way but I have to elaborate because some people are going to read your statement and may belive the narrative you may have implied.

There are almost 300 million guns in America. It's estimated that a quarter of Americans own one. Some keep it in the garage, others in their car, and some carry it with them all the time. I'm not one that owns a gun because Iv never felt the need for one. But I certainly understand and respect why some people feel the need to carry one. Next time you go to a restaurant with 40 people sitting. Know that at least 4 of them have a gun on them. Depending on the state, city, and neighborhood, that number could go up to 50%. As a matter of fact, it gave me comfort as a student in college knowing that at least A few of my classmates had guns on them. Of course I wouldn't be if I knew who they were but that's why it's against the law to say it or even allow your gun to be visible.

I honestly don't know the laws in Luisiana but I can only assume that the half gram was legal because there were 4 people in the car and two of them went home. If it was a non tolerant state like Florida then all 4 would have been arrested and the least they get off with is community service. I can't defend Robinsons stupidity because if you wanted to smoke weed then just turn on the damn TV and order pizza for all I care. If Robinson falls to the end of the first or even the second round the. He absolutely deserves it for being an ideot.

to be fair on the gun part, I read a few conflicting reports so it's hard to say what happened exactly. It looks like both driver and passenger had guns concieled and to their credit, they told the officer something like "hey my hands are up but I wanted to let you know that I have a gun so this doesn't get weird" then went on to point the gun out and handed it over to the cops. I think that's actually a smart thing to do. That is absolutely a no story
