Year 2/3 potential breakout players

118 posts in this topic

Funny, the one I thought about wasn't mentionned once. I will put Brent Urban as my Breakout guy. He was very precious everytime his number was called and now looks to get a huge boost in playing time with TJ and Guy leaving. His presence against the pass is the best in the DL until we see more of Kaufusi (and I still have high hopes for Henry btw).

Expectations: 6 sacks and 6 batted passes and nobody remembers Timmy Jernigan by the end of the season.

I'm surprised to see Tavon Young be mentioned, but only because he already broke out last season. He was arguably one of the better CBs out there and quite possibly the best rookie CB from last year's draft class.

well doan think it will be periman he has showed he is a bit slow on the piccup and his injure past is always on ya mind.

doan think it will be corea cuz he was ineffect on the edge and doan think he has nfl kalibar football sense or good instincs

doan think it will be max willams cuz catchin a ball is natural or is not max is a tweener right now. as far as TEs go guessin wallar rises most but doan think he is ready to score 10 tds either

kafusi is an unknow and he wasnt on my board last yr so cant say but doan expect much surpris me

jerigan nah little more than trad bait

branden willams gonna have a lot of pressur and jus doan feel it any more than already have

jeffersen is a tackler but doan think he gonna make anyone forget ed reed and weddle is a good tackler to its just coverage where we still have issu

car fits in with the the safetys jus above

stanly missed a mess of games he wasnt bad realy wasnt but this is the tellin yr is he solid and healthy well see

some are sayin like in the womans colome here we are back tops in the AFC north. I think 8-8 wuld be overachevin

I was gonna say the same - I'd imagine the reason no one has yet is that he's a 4th year guy now lol

If he stays healthy, I think he could have a huge impact.

Better as in the top third, yes. I can pass you along my NFL GamePass subscription. It'd be useful to see a post from your account with an informed opinion for once. He was right up there with Ramsey as far as the rookie class goes.

Moving forward, potentially and likely. But he was highly uneven through the first half of the season. In November, he had given up 61.8% of his passes and a passer rating of 102.9. I feel that he'll be closer this year to his terrific finish to the season, but he wasn't a shutdown CB throughout the season.

What about when you cherry pick flaccos bad games/stretches and disregard the causing factors and disregard his great performances?

And then use that cherry picking to justify dismantling the entire team and destroying all potential to contend in the near future...

that's cherry picking if I ever seent it

Young was amazing especially for an undersized rookie. But to be fair Ramsey is asked to do things that would never be asked of young. You will find Ramsey man up on Julio Jones,AJ Green and Beckham. That will never be asked of Young. And I'm very biased for undersized cornerbacks. Whether it be zone cornerbacks and especially shutdown man up cornerbacks. Butler is my favorite cornerback in the NFL. And I really like Tavon Young to. A very good player. If Young were even 5'10 190 he would be a pro bowler and maybe even borderline allpro

Canty had around 3 sacks in 3 years, Urban had a 2 in one as a rotational player...

I wanted to say 5'10 and change. About Butlers size. And it's more than the inch. 190lbs is very solid cornerback that will keep him from getting out muscled.

Seriously dude. Excited over Urban? At least Henry has good upside. However he is not a football player. He has zero moves and technique.

I wanted to cut Wallace to give our young WRs opportunity. We need for a young receiver to break out. I like Chris Moore better than Perriman. We should draft a WR in the first 3 rounds. I like Davis in round1, Stewart, Westbrook and JuJu round2-3.

What makes you like Moore over perriman? For all the talk of perrimans drops Moore had far worse drops and didn't make the spectacular catches that perriman made

Canty disrupted play quite a bit more than urban did. During passing downs NONE of our DE"s where anywhere to be seen. The FO don't seem to have much of a feel for pass rushing DE"s.

Perriman has weak hands..opposite of boldin. chris moore was simply bad.

at this stage it's the lesser crap one must hope for to improve.

Perriman doesn't have weak hands, he made acrobatic contested catches often, he had the occasional drop on routine passes, but outweighed that quite a bit.

Moore on the other hand, never gave us the slightest reason to excuse his 2 big drops which were big deciding factors in losses. He did well on special teams but on offense he gave us absolutely nothing

i meant weakhands as in he has no vice grip ala boldin. He's easily stripped when hes attempting to complete a catch

okay I just about worked out what you typed. Yes, thats why I said I didn't want perriman in the 2015 draft and so far my assessment was right.
