[News] Late For Work 3/30: Position Ravens Most Likely Address With First-Round Pick

40 posts in this topic

Humphry, Barnett, Riddick look to be the most probably at 16 and anyone of them could help the Ravens team.
It would be tough to pick which one.

The best 4 options for me for pick 16 are:

Rueben Foster - 1
Leanord Fournette - 2
Derek Barnett - 3
One of top 2 receivers - 4
The top tackle - 5
One of top 2 CBs - 6

All in the order I've laid out. If Foster is available he is the one. IF he's gone and the rest are available then Fournette followed by Barnett and so on.

Barnett in a heartbeat! He'll prove to be this draft's best pass rusher by a mile eclipsing all the hype of Myles Garret.

Guys, can you PLEASE stop this nonsense speculation about Boldin coming back to Baltimore? There's no way I'm buying that, especially considering Harbaugh and the Ravens basically kicked him off the team right after he played a huge role in getting the team it's second Lombardi Trophy. And seriously- if Torrey, a local product and fan favorite, passed on a return to go to Philly instead, what makes anyone think Boldin would come back OR Harbaugh would reach out to him? Not buying it for a second.

Philly offered Torrey more money then the Ravens did. 5 Mill a year for a very average receiver. The Lions paid Boldin 2 Mill last year. He "only" had 67 catches, 8 TD's, and don't forget about him being a great blocker.

I think most of us still remember the sight of the mayflowers pulling out on the sad night. Definitely a dagger to the heart.

I remember Irsay telling then Mayor Schaefer that he'd never leave so what did he do he left in the middle of the night in the the snow. I hated him ever since and wish the Colts nothing but the worse of times.

Yea, Irsay was a piece of work but remember those loons in Baltimore City were going to seize the team that Monday. Those facts are always left out. People got what they deserve voting them in.

Hopefully we go for one of Foster, Barnett, Davis or M. Williams at 16. Then one of White, Tabor, T. Williams, Juju Smith, Lawson, Z. Cunningham in rd 2. Not sure if any of these guys will be here for our pick in the 2nd rd though? Trade up and snag one of them. Sidney Jones in rd 3 is a no-brainer if he is there.

Do you know that players have to file taxes in every state they play? Higher taxes on players like Oakland and soon Baltimore are another reason teams move. Ever wonder why Texas and Florida have the most teams? No state tax. Thats another reason Jacksonville and Carolina got the expansion teams and not Baltimore. I wonder do the stadium people get 15.00 an hour, sick leave, and vacation pay for working 6 months?

Um, what's the plan for getting us depth at the offensive line? Looks like we can have a #1 defense, and still have Flacco backpedaling every game.

Hmm, Delaware ought to get a team, then.

Very very doubtful that happens. He may not even be picked on Day 1

McCaffery has been mocked by many top and credible writers in the first round.  Namely the Chiefs, Broncos, the Patriots (before the trade), and now the Saints.  I've seen fewer multi-round mocks with him in 2nd than 1st. He is may be the smartest offensive player in this year's draft and has a nose for moving the chains.  Even if the Ravens drafted him at 16 I wouldn't be disappointed.  The kids can do it all.
