round 1

pick 16 - Forrest Lamp  OG  Western Kentucky

we already have 5 starters in secondary... and guys like barnett , m.williams , allen (etc) will be drafted at this point.... so we have to solve our biggest problem - o-line.

Lamp probably the best interior o-lineman or even best OL prospect regardless of position.

round 2

pick 47 - Ryan Andersson OLB Alabama

he's just a great player. great in run D , very good in pass D. he's a playmaker! (a lot of sck , tfl ,ff and even pick-6!) don't compare him to upshaw. pls don't do it.

round 3

pick 78 - Desmond King DB Iowa

well... u know...

round 3

pick 99 - Carlos Henderson WR  Luisiana Tech

round 4

pick 122 - Amara Darboh  WR  Michigan

round 5

pick 159 - Nico Siragusa  OG  San Diego st

round 6

pick 186 - Nate  Gerry   S  Nebraska

I like the Forrest pick to fortify the offensive line. Ozzie has fortified the defense through free agency. I prefer Kevin King as a second round pick due to his size and

flex to play either corner or safety. This pick would insure us against injuries to our secondary. Where is our offensive center coming from? Inhouse, draft, or free

agency?

1) forest lamp i think is not quite worth that 1st pick but if we got him in a trade down id probably be ok with it - however, i still think its likely we could get corey davis or tim williams (or maybe cam robinson who i think is better than lamp) or OJ Howard or even a corner like conley or humphrey ahead of lamp

2) i really like anderson and i dont think he will end up like courtney upshaw just because of their body types and play styles (upshaw has become a useful 5 tech which anderson never will) but it's hard not to compare the two when ryan anderson himself has brought up the comparison - either way i really like him - he's a fiery competitor who looks like a natural leader at that position who can play in all 3 phases - id like him to be more athletic but i guess if he was he probably wouldnt make it to this pick but he has a nice array of pass rushing ability if not elite traits or production - he makes plays though and that's something the ravens have maybe been missing a little bit of --> he very much plays like a guy who would take over the leadership of a defense both through example and attitude

3) desmond king i really like as a corner (unlike a lot of this board who projects him at safety) - this is the 2nd mock recently that ive seen mock him in the 3rd which i find surprising as ive always considered him as a 2nd round prospect and assumed he'd go in the 2nd round somewhere

3) henderson is an interesting prospect although i think he's more of a high day 3 guy than a low day 2 one

4) darboh has a lot of nice traits but im not sure how well they'll translate to the next level - would prefer him in the 5th if we took him - there are so many potential good picks who will fall to the 4th round this year that id hesitate before being able to say that darboh could be considered the BPA here

5) not a fan of nico siragusa as a prospect - looks like a potential bust (can you call a 5th round pick a bust?)

6) i have no clue and have never heard of nate gerry so i guess it makes sense hed be a late round pick - i see the 6th round this year as being a bit more of a crapshoot than previous years - i think the quality in the draft really tails off around the middle of the 5th round this year so i find it hard to project anyone in the 6th except for potential UDFAs who i think could maybe work out

You keep talking about your game, but you haven't done your own list yet.

On the subject of this mock, I like the picks. I'm not sure about an OG in the first, but I think it would depend on who was taken before our pick, or if we decide to trade down.

I really don't like the idea of picking a OG in the first round that much. We already have Yanda and Alex Lewis to play as guards unless we put Alexis Lewis at OT and then the draft pick at guard. We mostly need the OT and center. I think we still have a chance to land Barnett/Williams. That's the two players we should be targeting. I love the Desmond King pick a lot but l don't know if he would make it into the 3rd round. If he somehow makes it to 2nd, l'll trade up and draft him. He a physical corner and he could help our KR and PR duties. I like that pick a lot. Ozzie can find o-line gems in the later rounds. Ozzie is good at that like finding Yanda and Wagner in the later rounds as well as pass rushing like a Judon so it might be blessing to get Mike Williams as the 1st round pick and then have Desmond King as the second. If Mike Williams is gone and Barnett still on the board then l will still be happy with Barnett as the 1st round pick. If both are gone then Ozzie could trade back a little for more picks but not all the way back at the end of the first round. 2 or 3 spots back will be good. 👍

Isnt it about a year or two too soon to start drafting Yandas replacement and the Ravens like what they have with Lewis (the words they use with him actually mirror how they talked about KO early in his career) so I dont know why an interior OLine player will help when the biggest need on the Oline is T.   I am all for BPA but that player actually has to have room to contribute.
