Post FA Mock

I tried to make this with no trades, as the board dictates this on draft day, but I do believe the Redskins deal Cousins to the 49ers after not being able to get him resigned to a long-term contract, again.

1) CLE       Myles Garrett DE
2) *WAS*   TRADE   Jamal Adams S
3) CHI       Jonathan Allen DT
4) JAX       Solomon Thomas DE
5) TENN       Marshon Lattimore CB
6) NYJ       Leonard Fournette RB
7) LA       Malik Hooker S
8) CAR       Derek Barnett DE
9) CIN       Corey Davis WR
10) BUF       Mike Williams WR
11) NOLA       Deshaun Watson QB
12) CLE       OJ Howard TE
13) ARI       Marlon Humphrey CB
14) PHI       John Ross WR
15) IND       Dalvin Cook RB
16) BAL       Reuben Foster LB/Alabama
17) WAS       DeShone Kizer QB

Ultimately I think the pick will between Reuben Foster and Mike Williams, but with the combine incident and Foster being ILB I think he would more likely to fall than Barnett, Corey Davis, or Mike Williams. Foster is my favorite of those three and he easily could be the first of those names picked.

2nd - Sidney Jones CB/Washington

With signing Brandon Carr I see no issue in picking Sidney Jones in the 2nd and not rushing him back onto the field. He is a 1st round talent and widely considered one of the favorites to be picked at 16 prior to his injury.

3rd - Chris Godwin WR/Penn State

I love when the Ravens pick players close to home and I feel like Chris Godwin does not get enough credit. Hell of a football player and watching him catch the ball near the sideline is something I could get used to.

3rd (comp) - DeMarcus Walker DE/Florida State

4th - James Conner RB/ Pitt

5th - Darreus Rogers WR/USC

I wanted to pick an OT in the 2nd/3rd but I feel like getting these players would be great value picks

The combine incident won't drop a top 3 talent that far because from everything players and scouts have said about the incident, it's truly no big deal.

Where is the C or RT?

I'd love to address every position possible, but I decided to not go the most recent route, and actually focus on quality instead of quantity. Seen plenty of players come in go over the recent years, many who only ever played on special teams. Seems like certain positions have been a draft need year after year. When is the last time the Ravens kept two guys from the same draft class after their rookie contracts were up? Sidney Jones might be my least favorite pick, yet in the 2nd round I'd say thats a solid pick

Top 3 talent has nothing to do with it. I don't think Foster is even in question until pick 9, and the potential suitors for Foster could easily pass on him for a more ideal position. If we end up going Davis/Williams then I would be just as happy. I think those are probably the best three that could end up at 16

Top 3 talent has everything to do with it if a team values talent over need, which is a really good way to do it in the top half of the league. I could very well see the 49ers take him. I could see the Titans take him, Jets, and Bengals as top 10 teams that could use a talent like him.

Plus, again, the combine incident is way overblown and has no effect on his draft stock.

There's a big difference between where you could see someone going and where you think they will actually go. Can't really factor that into a mock otherwise every team would have 3 possible picks. If he is taken before the Bengals I will be shocked. Just curious who your top 3 is...

I agree, I'd love to see us picking up Foster as a slider, but I could see the exact same stance from all the teams before us. They could just as easily be thinking "ooh look at who fell to us" even if he isn't that far from where he's likely to go.
