Woodhead is a play maker in the NFL and I am sure he has learned how to take care of his body by this stage in his career. I believe with modern medicine he is going to come back stronger and more focused because of all the nay-sayers and the challenge of coming back from an injury of this sort. Probably has a chip on his shoulder and the great thing about sports and chips on peoples shoulders it's all in the players hands to shut the mouths of their critics. Welcome to the Raven family Woodhead go out and play like a Raven!!!!

If he can stay healthy I can envision him as a quality player for us. He is versatile and can offer some interesting play call options. We didn't sign him to be "the guy" as a runner, but more of the aggregate kind of player the team was hoping Campanaro could be and Keenan Reynolds might be.

If he proves he can't get it done or isn't healthy the team can always cut him.

Can't lie I wasn't too enthused about the signing because of the bad routes and play calling making the Offense too predictable at times! With the O line going through all these changes learning zone blocking and to another scheme made it harder for our backs and being too predictable teams know when to lite up the O line and break up plays! Making defenses afraid of the pass will open up gaping holes and Woodhead can benefit without fear of getting himself hurt again! Kinda on the fence about this one but in Ozzie and Co. I TRUST! Welcome to the Flock Woody!

Low risk for a possibly high reward. The boy has a motor so if the knee issues are behind him, we got a heck of a steal.

I think Woodhead will be a great addition, IF, the Ravens dont put the entire weight of the running game on him. Injuries and performance level are always the risk with signing over 30 players.

He is a great playmaker, however the Ravens need a "multi down running back" A threat to bang out 6 consecutive running plays, this is what will open up Woodhead, Wallace, TE and WR's.

Get Latavius Murray and put him with Woodhead and West. This is really what they need!! Dixon is young he can be the back of the future, he is more like Woodhead than Murray, however the suspension is not promising.

West can stay and be a great second back. Once Dixon comes back, see where we are, It will only be a good thing to have all 4 of them. Woodhead is like having a Fullback.

I hope he works out but I am not crazy about the signing. I think it sends the wrong message to the young guys on the team. The coaches and front office giving up on Buck Allen, and taking snaps away from Dixon and West. All of them are still very young players for a 32 yr old that has been injured more often than playing in the last 3 years.

Are those young guys so bad that you reach out. What does that say about their own confidence to draft and develop ?

Dixon took snaps away from himself! Allen has had problems its something the coaches are seeing, West had his best year of his career, and the Ravens failed in the running catagory. I cannot see how you could say that the Ravens are giving up on them. Sometimes young players need time to develop, veteran playmakers and ball handlers are the best that they can learn from.
The Ravens best years are when they have a 1000 yd RB, downhill style runner who achieves first downs on a regular basis. None of the 3 young guys have acheived that.
Get Latavius Murray, add him to West, Dixon and Woodhead. Then go win a Super bowl...none of them will be complaining! except Allen who could stay on the PS or Pup

Of course, how rude of the FO to bring in a RB to cover for Dixon when he's out due to taking PED's.

Good pick up. If he's healthy he'll help us in multiple ways.
Not too many straight hand offs, but he'll be in there for catches out of the back field, screens, he can line up as a wr anywhere, and I hope we give him a chance to contribute and team up with Camp in the return game. I think that'd be a sweet duo.
Gotta love his attitude. Great Free Agency so far by the FO.
Cut Arrington, Watson, and Zuttah
Sign Zach Brown and get ready for the draft
