I only share this now to spread the word before the boards close. This community doesn't have to die. It will take some time to get to full potential, but I can ensure you a safe and efficient board with lots of room to grow. You might want to get in touch with @BOLDnPurPnBlacK - there's been an effort going on since the announcement to keep the board going elsewhere, quite a few people have signed up on a transitional board already.

I have noticed this, and I don't want to bash on BOLDnPurPnBlacK, but the current forum software he is using seems kind of outdated. You said it was transitional, but I don't know how he then expects to get the 100 or so users that have already signed up to move to a new forum without much grasp of the community he has acquired.

By the way, I am a friend of the OP (@purplepittabread88), as well as a creator of the new forum board alongside him.

Anyway, I do believe that possibly getting in touch with him would be beneficial as he already has quite a bit of users, and we have the domain name. Not only that but we will be using our own site with a more sophisticated board.

Again, not bashing, but yeah. It could be beneficial. I will definitely talk about it with purplepitta.

Good point. I can look in a transfer merge or some way to figure that out. Would indeed be nice to work something out. He stated he would like to find away to a growing community, and a combination may certainly be mutualistic. (just read his post). Finding ways to converge ideas and information would be useful.

Somehow I missed this, when the Ravens were looking to open these forums they tapped mods from the two big boards in the area Scout and 24/7, of the original 6 Or 8, Mod3 and me are the two 'original' mods and we came from Scout. 24/7 has morphed into RSR and Scout is still Scout but it got sold  a couple times and it's still there, a version of Scout has been around since the last 90's.   I wandered into Scout when in 2003 I think after a car accident and have duel citizenship so to speak.  Most of my time has been spent here, I do have a life not that you can tell by my post count with my two SN here.  When we moved here we kept our old SN's but posters were having a problem of some of the more colorful, prolific original mods so we went to the generic mod sign ons in August of 2008. My Drkraven account says 1200 or so,  but I guess I lost posts with the big update last year or as post get archived.

The 15 post count is to deter the sweatshops, but we had another type of spam of the adult entertainment type that was quite prolific.  I was at my parents in Deep Creek and my dad on his trusty dial up wanted to see what a message board was.  This was before smart phones and the thread he clicked on was some of the nastiest porn, before I could hit delete dad was quite engrossed and I wanted to fall through the floor.

I still keep hoping for a  change of heart .

Here's something that I just thought of. I think I remember someone saying that other teams link to other boards. Would it be possible to have the Ravens site link to wherever we go next?

I believe that we are going to be using the XenForo platform as it works better than most other forum software out there. I think as purplepitta said, we are keeping it closed off to just us currently until release. However, the possibility remains that if we need the extra help, we can definitely contact you.

I don't know the possibility of the new forum's link actually being linked on the official ravens site, but it could work. Who knows

All I ask is upon release people check out or boards lol  . @flynismo , upon open I loved to get in touch but for now me and my friend have been working hard and I see it as a personal project for now, but in the future I loved to get in contact. A message for all, I am looking to not only keep the community together, but expand the forums to articles where you amazing fans with opinions can write nonbias reports without being restricted in addition to other growths. Ex: Would you ever see an article posted on here about how Ozzie's picks have been dipping? Garret and Ryan would be fired in a split second. I love the current simplicity but I know you guys could love it as more.

Very cool, I'll check it out. I'm a studying graphic designer myself and would love throw some logo ideas out there in the future if you're ever looking for one for the board. I don't even care if you use them or not.

The issue with your site is many have jumped with @BOLDnPurPnBlacK who's a long-term member here. No one knows you and people will.be loyal to him even if yours is better, and it is looking promising. You really need to PM him
