Again, you have no clue what you're talking about...

1. Williams isn't even on the field for roughly half of the defensive snaps. Which you probably don't know, because I don't think you watch the games.

2. Suggs is staying. He's more than good enough for what he gets paid.

3. Jimmy isn't getting traded or cut, because he's very clearly the MVP of this defense. What practically any game where he's on the field vs one's where he's not... the difference in the defense is staggering. Would have thought fans would have learned this after last season, but again, that would require them to watch games.

4. You're not getting two top tier corners because there aren't any available and they're too expensive, especially when a lot of the moves you advocated would cost us more cap space than create it.

5. Flacco can't restructure practically anything, because there's only $6M of his salary this season that is touchable. Again, you're wasting your time even talking about Flacco, because nothing is going to change there. Stop whining about it.

6. Mallett has shown nothing in actual games that he could lead even a good team to an 8-8 record. He played for a pretty talented team in Houston and went 2-4. He's a backup QB prototype.

Yes lol. I love it. Exactly my feelings on some of the unrealistic overreacted thoughts.

Anybody have any theories on why a roster spot is being filled by yet ANOTHER running back in Woodhead? If there were ever a position we do NOT need, that'd be it; in my opinion.

Do you not understand what Woodhead brings to he table for Flacco? When healthy he is a very dynamic receiving back who can be a great safety net. If he stays healthy watch the games and your question will be answered. Although u don't know the exact contract numbers so I should delay any judgements.

Will preface this by saying that its an "odd" signing. But...

I don't think fans are realistically banking on Allen or Taliaferro as contributors, so that leaves you with West and Dixon.

I like Dixon's versatility, but he's not great in pass protection from what I've seen, and Woodhead is as good of a 3rd down back as I've seen in this league.

If we're looking to add playmakers, Woodhead certainly qualifies.

So your basically saying west is gona play 1st and 2nd downs ( 2 mil tender) and Woodhead is here to play third downs. Dixon is their backup.

Yes it's an upgrade from last year, but It sucks because it feels like we wasted a 3rd and 4th on Allen and tallifaro. Im not sure it's enough of an upgrade to warrant spending around 6 mil more on RB position. That's the odd part.

i really hope I'm wrong but that investment could have landed us JCharles or A.Peterson or any RB in FA. I really like Woodhead as a player but I'm not sure he's the best signing for the Ravens...

No, I'm saying West and Dixon are going to compete for snaps, and Woodhead is going to play 3rd down. I'm not sure why people think that a $2M tender automatically gives West a starting job... $2M players are typically backup/role players in this league.

I have zero interest in AP or Charles, and most of the league seems to feel the same way. Actually hard to see what value they would bring to the team.

Again, too many fans thinking of Woodhead as a traditional RB. I see him far more as an option in the passing game (2 minute drills, late in games, etc.) and as a significant upgrade in pass protection, which fans often overlook.

He's a small guy but can sure block. He's 30+Y/O coming off a knee injury. So are AP and Charles how are they worth no value in comparison to Woodhead?

if the FO really liked him then let go of west and use that 2 mil somewhere else

Well, what does AP bring to the table at this point beyond the name and the face? He's strictly a two down runner who didn't look very good recently, is coming off multiple significant injuries, and I would almost guaranteed would not sign with us for $2M.

Charles has even more injury concerns, has played 8 games in two years, and isn't a very good between the tackle runner at this stage in his career. He would be a third down passing back most likely, and probably more expensive than Woodhead.

I think fans are getting caught up with the "name value" there instead of the production value.

There's a reason why other NFL teams, with similar or worse RB situations than us, aren't beating down the doors for these guys.

And use the $2M where else? A reserve offensive lineman? What position are you getting a starting caliber players for that kind of money?

Its not even $2M in cap savings... its like barely over $1M after the Rule of 51 adjustments once the draft is over.

Now we know why Danny. NFL Suspends Running Back Kenneth Dixon For Four Games

not sure about the Woodhead deal being enough to improve the running game. The Ravens need a downhill running back, it just didn't look like Dixon or West were that 3 down back that will get the team a first down.
My feelings are, let Tallifero and Allen go, go pick up Latavius Murray for 6 mil. He is a downhill runner who has proven skills. Once Dixon is back then the Ravens can decide what to do with 4 backs just like last year.

Definitely a great signing in Jefferson. Webby may be all but gone, we really could use the cap space. He is very expensive to sit on the bench.

Well, I guess we have our answer as to why Woodhead is here.

Dixon got suspended.

I told you it was an odd move lol

that basically explains it! Woodhead is here for more than just third down duties and probably more than just RB duties.
