ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Baltimore is expected to sign the fifth-year safety, who was graded as one of the best safeties in the league last year. That would give the Ravens perhaps the top safety tandem in the NFL.

Whaaat.. Nice!.. Excited to see what he brings to the defense

I think him and Weddle automatically become a top 3 Safety tandem in the league. With the possibility of being the best. That will only happen though if we draft a corner in the first.
During draft day, I'll have my eyes closed for the first 15 picks, just hoping to hear any name but Sidney Jones. I have faith in Jimmy staying on the field this year.
The RAVENS defense will be be back if we add Sidney Jones to Jefferson, Weddle, Tavon, Jimmy, and everything we already have. Or another awesome corner like Lattimore, Wilson, or Tabor.
The Woodhead signing doesn't make any sense, but things are looking up after signing Tony

This guy looks like a STUD. This should bump Weddle back to Free Safety. Exactly what I was hoping for.
We really should be adding one of these awesome corners in the first too.
Plus more defense through FA and the draft
The offense Cannot be any worse than last year....but I'm already getting Crazy excited about the D.
We barely missed out on Marcus Peters. The same CANNOT happen with Sidney Jones

Love this move, guess this means Webby is gone though.

I love it too. And it was time. Someone will pick him up

Well. This sighning would be a jaw dropper - and would leave me a complete idiot for saying there's no way he would choose us over so much more money the Browns can afford to throw at him... And I would be happy to be so wrong and ridiculous :)

But hey, let's wait half a day, this is the prime season for false info in the NFL...

exactly. I wanna wait but I can't help but think he'd much rather be a Raven than Brown. He plays like a raven. Such a beautiful pairing with Weddle. Kicks Weddle back to FS so we finally have some awesome FS play for the first time since losing Ed

Browns are still sitting on $100M+ of cap money and have made no moves whatsoever.  Thank God their ineptitude continues.

This means Webby will be forced to take a pay cut and become a backup, or he is gone.

I also hope we are able to re-sign Doom (assuming he is healthy again), or find another complementary pass rusher.  Also believe we should have cap space left to grab Mangold.

I think Webb is gone for sure. No reason to keep him now. Not even as a nickel corner or punt returner.
I think someone will pay Doom a bit more than we will.
Mangold could be a good idea and would give us more flexibility in the draft.
The rest of FA doesn't jump out at me too much. They would have to want to come here, and I could see that being the case for both of these guys. But I would love it if we could add Pryor or Campbell. I know they won't be cheap. Campbell would be nuts!

This will be a good signing, if we don't kill our cap doing it.

We've spent alot on S the last 2 years..............where are we getting CBs?!?!?!?!

Will likely take a flier on a mid-grade, proven vet and then pick up a couple more in the draft. This did fill a major gap, though.

Webb was making good CB money at FS, and not playing all that well. Jefferson ought to make good FS money (same or less than Webb), and play up to his compensation.

I think Jefferson is a clear SS. And was rated as the 6th best overall safety last year. This should kick Weddle back to FS which will be amazing

That's definitely what's been killing us.
But this literally could be the craziest corner class of all time. There are about 5 I'd be stoked about at 16. I want Jones for sure though.
There will be good ones in the second too, but we gotta stop messing around and take one of these top dawgs in the first.
1rst round corner+Jimmy+Tavon+Weddle+Jefferson= top 3 secondary

The only reason why I wasn't all in on this guy from the start is because I thought he was coasting 10+ a year.
There're talking 7-8 a year. SO worth it.
This guy is 25, a STUD, and just rising. Him with Weddle. YES

I'm not sure I get the hate for Sidney Jones but I for one would cry if we got him because we would finally get the secondary we need. Lattimore is not making it to 16 and I wouldn't mind Wilson. Tabor is trash though. Unless he goes to Seattle where holding is a no call penalty.

If they can just get his cap number down by 1.5-2 million, he could be a very great disguised player that can help with the nickel or be a free roamer when needed. Webby still has value, maybe not what he is getting paid, but he still adds quality depth.

Wait. That was confusing. Not sure if you like Sidney Jones or not

That would be amazing. Like it or not we all know the road to the SB goes through foxborough. A top tier secondary that forces NE to run more can only help us get to where we want to be.
