I couldn't care less about Matt Elam's future at this point, he's not that good a safety and needs to be let go. Brandon Williams, Wagner and Juice, at least one of them needs to be resigned.

I think short of Ryan Jensen, the rest are all gone. We'll be fine though. The loss of these guys will help us with comp picks for next year and all three are replaceable with either existing players, free agency or the draft. Wagner will be the toughest replacement, but Alex Lewis can excel there over time. As for Juice, I feel Boyle can replace him as a second blocking TE clearing lanes for the RB. Brandon Williams will be replaced by a rotation of Pierce, Henry and Davis.

Mangold would certainly make all the sense and be an upgrade (provided he's helathy, of course) - but I'm afraid he belongs to wishfulthinking folder: players casually associated with the Ravens, but almost surely way too expensive for our cap situation - players like Garcon, Jefferson, Pryor, Sheard, Calais Campbell, Connor Barwin etc...

This. I would LOVE it if we re-signed Williams but I'm more than confident one of those 3 will fill in nicely if he does in fact, go somewhere else.

The 2nd highest cap hit in the NFL in Joe Flacco is the heart of our team. For 3 years now we have proven that the appropriate players in the appropriate scheme allows Flacco the time he needs to make the reads he needs to be successful. Early in his career he could move enough to extend some plays. Those days are long gone. Flacco with an offensive line that can give him a full, unimpeded, throwing motion for a full 3 seconds is like gold, man gold or Mangold. Zuttah was manhandled by the big nose tackles and frankly, these days, every team has a big nose tackle. He was effective, not good, in a zone scheme and play action which required more athleticism but with the straight up, pulling guard style run game and no play action, he was overpowered and a weak point. If we get Mangold, put Lewis out at right tackle, where he played before, and grab a scrappy guard in the draft, we could have a top rated running game and Flacco would have time to throw to receivers and not check down on every play. Ozzie needs to have another draft like he did last year and Correa and Kaufusi, who we could have traded and got Jalen Ramsey, had better produce this year.

Signing Mangold would have more impact on the upcoming season than any of the other players being "associated" with the Ravens in the free agent market. Since we are joined at the hip with Flacco for three more years due to the dead money involved, we need to try to get him to play better than the 24th ranked (QBR) player at his position. Mangold seems like the best option I have seen thus far.

If we wanted him bad enough, there is probably a way to do it.

If the Ravens tender Jensen, I think he may have other suitors.  Mangold may demand too much $$$.  I can see the Browns pursuing him as they have the cap $$$ to spend.  If the Ravens keep Jensen, I think they will also retain Zuttah at least for now and let them battle for the C position.  Jensen will probably draw a 6th round tender.  JC Tretter is lurking in free agency.  His $$$ demands may be somewhat less than Mangold.

Wagner will be a tough replacement.  If they push Lewis outside, then we are looking for a LG.  I don't see Urschel as that guy currently.  John would be a backup C or LG.  May need to bring in another LG from the draft, or leave Lewis there and bring in a RT in the form of a 2nd or 3rd round (good use for our compensatory pick) Hurst= Gone  Wesley = Gone

If Wagner is swept away in FA, I can see Lewis stepping in there.

Assuming he's healthy

1. We can get Mangold for half of what we are going to pay for Wagner!

2. Alex Lewis can fill Wagner's spot.

3. Much easier to find a LG than a RT

4. We can target another position in the earlier rounds and not be worried about picking up a Tackle or Center early.

Sounds like a no brainer! But I am a dumb fan!

Well no because we got Stanley, and we are all very happy about him

Sign Mangold ASAP!!! We don't have a real center as it is and he can only HELP a poor O line get better. Then we can use our draft picks on 2 CB's, LB, edge rusher and guard. That is if Ozzie can get his head out of his bxxx. The past 4-5 years have real bad. A good QB would be great, "old 3 and out Flacco" is done as far as I'm concerned.

Let's be honest Zuttah became more of a glaring issue when KO left. The run blocking and holding calls became more noticeable because Lewis and the mathematician wasn't good at LG. Also yanda was hurt and had to shift positions. If Mangold is healthy and cheaper he is definitely a upgrade over zuttah. The Ravens need talent on the o line they have two studs in Stanley/yanda but they need five.

Mangold for Zuttah, a no brainer. Don't know if he will come for that money.
Mangold for Wagner, probably (7-8 mil). So let Zuttah and Wagner go! Pick up Mangold and look for a RT or G. to help Ducasse, Urschel and Jensen.
Got plenty of choices- Lewis back at Left G, Yanda on the right. or Lewis at RT Yanda on the left or right.
Plus still pick up a top draft Center, let him get his feet wet at Guard.

Mangold is an All Pro and likely HOF player. I guarantee that fact isn't lost on the rest of the NFL (except obviously the Jets). Even at 33, I don't think we're going to be able to afford the guy. There are a bunch of teams who are also looking for an upgrade at center, and a bunch of those teams have more money to spend than the Ravens.

I really believe that Bwilliams is gone. (as much as I would love to see us re-sign him... I just don't think we can keep him). I also think Wagner will be gone. (I would love to keep him also) but just do not believe that we are in a position to keep either one and we seem to already have their replacements in house (Michael Pierce and Alex Lewis respectively). So- I see that clearing cap space for us... but I do believe that we will bring Juice back. He doesn't command that high of a price tag and he becomes an extra TE in essence. He is versatile and remember with he addition of greg norman we will look to improve the run game and short passing game. Juice will help in both areas. I really believe that Juice will be back.

IDK about Jensen. He is a quality back up but not sure we would count on him to be a starter at this point. So... it is looking like the most unlikely candidate (at the time we drafted him) Juice... will end up being our only player left from the 2013 draft. We could end up getting a comp pick for BW and RW however...depending how FA plays itself out this year!

Stanley-Lewis-Mangold-Yanda-Wagner

I'm happy

Stanley- Lewis- Mangold - Yanda and anyone is a great line!!

I Just dont see Wagner staying he is not worth more than 6 mil. He cannot play any position except RT.

Heck even Lewis could play RT, I bet Ducasse or Jensen could play RT. and Urshel has played RT he is improving. All of them can play G.

The Ravens also have other guys to look at- Skura, Puhgsley, Nembot and Broxton

Before we get too high on mangold read what this article has to say about Mangold's play in recent years. https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-5-biggest-roster-needs-for-jets-in-2017/

Thank you! Zuttah had his share of bad plays but we really struggled when our backups were in. Jensen started 3 games Ducass started 8 and urschel started 3 and all finished some other games when lonemen got hurt. There's an obvious dropoff in talent and that's where we need to upgrade. If we lose zuttah and Wagner we need 2 starters and someone to back the starters up when they are hurt. Jensen and Urschel are not pulling it. Ducass is good to be the 7th best option at best.
