one last mock before the combine

Humphrey.....I like that he's among the very few physical corners in this class. There's a part of me that likes the DB pairing with Young and Smith because he's athletic and physical against the run....BUT..He will be exploited deep in the NFL. I don't trust him in man to man deep.....no way I take him over Sidney or draft him that high, period.

To me he looks more like a SS.

Reddick  would have to play inside....he can't hold up against the run on the outside. Perhaps he could come off the edge on third downs....

Not convinced Moton will be there .....

I'm also big on Rodgers......such a cliche but "Boldin", came immediately to mind as well. Guy is a player...gets open and really can be trusted to win the 50/50 ball consistently.

Tenn is looking to trade #5

Titans finally learned that to build a good football team they need to trade away those higher picks and stockpile an extra pick or two. Good for them. The Browns and the Titans I believe are turning the corner. I wouldn't be surprised if the Browns traded back either pick as well. Titans next year very well could be a playoff team. The Browns are a little ways off but they seem to be building a team the right way now.

I wonder what they want for it

Well the Titans already have their franchise quarterback it seems like as of now. So they can go numerous directions. Meaning if a quarterback slid that a team was very interested in they could collect a 2018 1st rounder by moving back about 10 spots. It all depends on the quarterback needy teams and what they are willing to give.

Arizona and Buffalo are two teams I would look out for. They could want to jump past the Chargers since it seems like Rivers wants out of there with the team moving to LA. Plus he is getting up into retirement age. There is also the Jets at #6 who need a quarterback. Or even Washington with Cousins possibly out the door.

The Titans are in prime position this year to trade back. The Browns can also get a ton for that #1 pick. They act like they are interested in Trubisky as of the combine but there is always a price. 49ers are quarterback needy and some of those teams could be interested in leap frogging them.

The browns already have probably too many picks to be honest, they kept 15 rookies last year on their 53 man roster and they have a bounty of high picks already so they really don't need to trade down at all - I do think there's a little pressure on them to find a qb this year as well because the ownership really isn't patient in that organisation - i really want them to give Sashi brown and Paul di podesta some time to work their system before they get chucked out of time for the same old dinosaur gms who've run so many franchises into the ground - so in that sense I'd like them to have another good draft even though they are a rival - I only ever have bad will towards the browns when they play against us

I'm a huge proponent of trading back but if the titans miss out on hooker or Adams they would be dumber than a dummy. Adams would almost be a franchise turner for them, they desperately need secondary help and they would be getting a sure fire elite safety and type A personality.

But they also have so many veterans going out the door that they almost have to have perfect drafts. I also don't see them trading in the middle to late rounds, I see them only trading back in the top 2 rounds. They need the talent and they have the picks to fill several needs. They are by far not one of the worst NFL rosters. I would take their roster probably 5-10 teams.

they haven't got anyone really leaving this year except maybe terrell pryor... they also might still be able to sign him - if they bring in 11 more drafted rookies + the guys they would get in trade back situations then they aren't going to be able to keep them all on the roster if you include the 15 they kept last year - that's literally 2/3 of your roster in two drafts which is too much - if they trade back fair dos to you but i think it's far more likely that they trade up than down - they already have 5 picks in the first 65 of the draft... that's a ridiculous amount of draft capital - i think the only way they trade back is if someone gives up an absolute king's ransom

You don't have to keep most these players though. You can usually tell year one which players are misses and which are actually quality players down the road or at least have potential. Also you can trade up using the lower picks. They need to get as many top 3 round players as they possibly can.

I mean that's not true at all, literally all conventional wisdom suggests that you need 3 years to assess a draft class and it's prospects... not one
