was Mcclain's ankle really that injured to take him out of the entire game plan? and what happened to Rice? what did he get like 3 carries? why would you abondone what got us here? I can understand trying to switch up the play calling but jesus that was terrible. I mean i'm proud of what we did this year but we could have easily beat this team. now i have to watch pittsburgh in the superbowl and that is just unimagineable.

Ben threw 3 INTs in his first AFCC Game in 2004 against the Patriots. One on his first attempt set up a FG, another was returned for a TD

He also threw 2 Tds...... so sad right now

Hell of a game.
We were a field goal away from a win and Paulamauhu ( ?) had to stick his big ol' fuzzy head in the way.
For the first time this season we saw the rookie in Flacco.

Really, I am impressed and proud. I never expected us to make it this far, and we lost to a very good, very talented team.

I would rather loose to the steleers over the Lions.

Flacco never got a chance to build his confidence up. The only time he was throwing it was 15+ yard passes or screens. Cam should have been calling for slants and short 5-10 yard passes to move the chains, let him get in rhythm and THEN going for home runs once he's in a groove. He never was allowed to get into a groove. It was screen or bomb, nothing in between.

Here's what screwed us, in order of impact:

1) Offensive play calling
2) STONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3) Flacco's nerves (holding on too long, forcing throws)
4) Referees

The Steelers played well, they earned a win more so than before, but we also hand wrapped it for them. With how we played we didn't deserve to win. That was some of the worst play calling I've seen all year, and Cam has had some pretty bad games

Yeah sometimes we make too many excuses as it's hard to give the Steelers credit, but you guys did earn this win. The thing that upsets me is that we were in the game, we did have the chances, it was within reach, and we shot ourselves in the foot. You've never gone out and dominated us, i'd prefer it if you had, but it's more sad when you can blame your own team for losing big games instead of just simply being outplayed. I wish you outplayed us, we killed ourselves and that hurts more

Harbs is the man. He's changed the culture of this team. He's gotten us far, and our Special Teams have not been awful. Tonight we made mistakes. We shot ourselves in the foot......several times.......and then slowly moved up the leg......and then in the face!!!!!!!!!! SO MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Changed the culture, but everyone can't be changed (STONE). That ( STUPID PENALTY) was more against what Harbs. is trying to implement then the lose it's self. I was really disgusted.

Man! We need someone that can tackle Big Ben. I've never seen a big slow guy like him getting so many second chances with his feet.
The officiating was OK. Things were called equally crappy in both directions. We had plenty of chances and our share of breaks. Big Ben had his moments. He's hurting that's for sure.
I never expected Flacco to be able to do much against the best defense in football. He played and learned.

This has to be a Steeler in Ravens clothing, no way would a Raven ever diss Harbs or Ozzie. Ozzie is the man when it comes to player management. Marcus Smith wasn't a first round pick. You want a chump GM look at the Lions who year in and out blow the first overall pick.

Ozzie has been a pro when it comes to picking defensive players, and he was the guy who master minded going after Flacco. Don't you dare say another ill word about Ozzie, or Harbs. You don't know the Ravens, you don't know football, and you don't know how to hold your alcohol apparently either.

You didnt see when Joe went no huddle and drove us up the field for our second score? his decision making is sketchy? how many accurate passes he made were dropped? Flaccos first game in Pitt wasnt a bad game.

Terrible play calling, poor execution, and poor pass protection. This was not Joe Flacco's fault. Cameron did not call the right plays to beat the pressure. Flacco never had time to throw to an open guy because the plays they were calling took far too long to develop. No bad call, penalty, or mistake cost us this game. It was a bad game plan going in and we were out played.

That said it was an amzing year. I cant wait for the draft and for training camp next year!
