That's what I'm excited about.

We had too many things working against us this year: the lack of rest, 20+ players on IR, youth, road games, and overall inexperience. This was a great starting point for the team, and we'll come back stronger than ever.

I hate to say it, but look at the Steelers. Roethlisberger took his team to the AFC title game in his first year, struggled, and then came back to win it all in 2005. The Steelers had a maturing roster, with a mix of veterans and young guys, which we'll definitely have in 2009.

This April, we're going to add another good wide receiver and/or corner, and then Ozzie will pick up another kid in free agency. We'll have sustained contention, where the Ravens will be a perennial powerhouse. I know it's hard to think about next year right now, but I really believe that this loss will propel the Ravens to the next level.

I'm proud of the vets and the young guns alike. I'm happy for what we have, and will have.

I'm more than pleased with the distance these young guys took us. I'm sick over the steelers, but oh well. I feel that we beat ourselves when we committed the 25 yard penalty on the sideline. We were so close to field goal range, and possibly taking the lead. Go CARDS!!!!!!!

I want a CB or WR. I better get one. Time to start the draft talks, folks. I hate the offseason, its so slow.

It's not that unreasonable, although I'm sure he'll have a solid combine.

..... You know we have a history of + then - seasons. 6-10, 13-3, 5-11, 11-5.... I hope it doesn't continue. The first three games of the season will USUALLY determine the outcome of the rest of the reg. season

I was actually just thinking about that, and we don't seem to really change much from season to season either...

It's mostly just injuries, though, and we took our fair share this season, so hopefully we're good to go next year.

Why would you believe in contention when everything points towards mediocrity? Do you think that's how you show true fanhood?

You play every season to get to the superbowl no matter the inexperience, injuries or schedule.

I didn't want to say it during the season but I wasn't sure the team could do it either. It was a great ride but a lot of key players were out and the best players were either inexperienced or injured. Hopefully, this team becomes a consistent play-off threat behind cornerstones like Flacco, Rice and others.

The bright side of losing is our Line-backer trio should have a big cap friendly incentive for taking some $ signs for the team.

Key word here is play. Fans don't play, players play. Fans can do whatever they want, it won't affect how the players feel about the season.
