Ravens Vs Redskins

7 posts in this topic

I like what I saw on Figurs return in the second half

David Pittman did ok in his first start and he was able to keep up with Randle El

McNair with a passer rating over 100

Musa Smith and Mike Anderson and their running--I hope Musa stays healthy

Very happy to see no injuries.

Bad

penalties defense and offense

Offensive line is worrying me, esp after the Blind sided hit Kyle Boller took

Offense still looks really flat.

Ugly

NFL canceling the game--yeah I know lightening is dangerous

Vanilla offense

Anyone else with some thoughts?

The line looks weak...when that happens runs and passes are weak.

Dfense is nice

Musa Smith can run without a line McGahee cannot...so we must improve the line idk how but we must to it.

Depending on how McGahee turns out in the regular season we may see some more of Musa and im kind of excited for it, hes looked good without a line all preseason. That Boller Sack was horrible though I'd never want to see that happen to McNair. I was kind of sad we didn't get to see any of Troy Smith ethier hes a player i've been watching closely through out the preseason so far even if he hasnt been the great you can already tell hes making some sort of improvment in his adjustment to the NFL game.

Well, I am concerned about how the ravens are performing right now. they just can't seem to get their running game going on with McGahee because the line can't seem to create good holes. And the fact that the line made far too many mistakes makes me even more concerned. I just wish that Ogden will make an impact as soon as the season starts. Other than that, I think that the defense fared pretty well considering the fact that they didn't have 2 starters, Ngata and Rolle. I think that when Ogden repaces the youngster at left tackle then we might see some more clean play and better holes to punch for McGahee. But I wish that if mcgahee can't seem to perform well during the season, then we should immediately start anderson and/or musa smith.

I think the best plan would be to regularly switch between the 3. all of our top backs have big play potential, and wether theyve shown it or not, its different running style for the opposing defense to take into account and may provide for more big plays in the running game, with or without a strong o-line.

anyways....

The Good:

No Injuries (good thing for both teams)

Rebounding of the offense (it wasnt the most prolific offense, but they rebounded to produce that td nicely)

David Pittman (got attack ALL night long and only allowed 2 catches)

Musa Smith (two 10+ yard runs, best back in the game that night)

Defense (looked really good, forced many 3 and outs, dont think the skins converted more than 1 or 2 if at all)

The Bad:

THE WEATHER (sloppy for conditions made for a sloppy game yet again)

PENALTIES (9 in the first half, mostly pre-snap)

O-line (they actually looked pretty good for a while, with a couple breakdowns in protection thats the result of a young line theyll have to work on)

The Ugly:

THE WEATHER / CANCELED GAME (I'm mad I didn't get to see round 3 of Smith vs Olson)

That nasty hit on Boller....wether hes a good QB or not, I'm glad he got up from that one
