Great Season Guys, And Pray For Willis

35 posts in this topic

Look guys, this loss obviously sucks. Hardest loss in Ravens history. But it shouldn't take away from the season. And next year, we need to make sure this game is played in M&T.

Also pray for Willis. That looked awful.

As soon as this game is official I will be on to thinking about next year. I really hope we can find a way to keep Bart. Next year, there's no backing down. We need to take the division.

Willis necks get messed up , flacco throws 2 pics , makes that hawaiian dude with the long hair looks good and throws away a 4thQ come back which is really sucky , well. All I can say is , we can look towards the future , flacco can only get better. I cant wait until next year, God do I hate the steelers...Revenge shall be ours! Lets try to get to the playoffs next year guys.

I just saw the hit and injury. Although a Falcon's & NFC guy, I can't help but feel sympathy for McGahee and his family. I wanted to send him and his family my best wishes and pray for a safe and speedy return.

Exactly. What the hell was Phil Simms' saying helmet to helmet does not exist with a ball carrier in the open field?

"Officials will be reminded this week to pay strict attention to these rules and disqualify the fouling player if the action is judged to be flagrant," Pereira wrote in the memo sent to the 32 NFL teams. "Actions that involve flagrant helmet to helmet contact are the likely acts that will include disqualification. Our commissioner and this office remain very focused on the safety of our players."

Today our offense couldn't get anything going and the secondary gave up big plays; this will be a tough one to stomach for awhile.

It was a great season and will be remembered that way, it just didn't have the ending we hoped for.

Mods it might be time to not accept any new users for now...

The game was over when Willis went down. The life is sucked out of me right now. Great season though I'm sad it had to end like that...

Well it certainly sucks we lost... dammit.. but what a season we had!! Joe is going to do nothing but get better!
Praying for Willis, god scary! And those damn Pittsburg fans cheering Clark for the hit?? What was that? And the crowd I thought was just classless... someone down on the field.. obviously hurt and the cheering was just.. well.. you know!

Ok.. let's go greet our guys and let them know how much we appreciate them!

I can't wait to see the Super Bowl. As much as I despise the Steelers and everything they stand for, I'm glad that a team from the AFC North is representing the conference in the biggest game of the year. It goes to show you that the AFC North is the *true* power conference, no matter how much the Fox analysts want to tell you the NFC East is the best.

I have a friend of mine who is a die-hard, South Philly born-and-bred Eagles fan. The season the Eagles lost to the Patriots in the Super Bowl, I called and told him that I was sorry for the loss. He quickly corrected me and told me that I shouldn't be sorry, because he just got to watch the most entertaining season ever with T.O. and McNabb. He was grateful that he was able to witness such a fun, winning season. Honestly, we should be, too.

Going in to the season, I would have never imagined that we would have made this deep a run in the playoffs with a rookie quarterback and essentially, an entirely new coaching staff. While the loss today was bittersweet, it gives me a lot of hope for the future. If we can play the 4th hardest NFL Strength of Schedule heading into the season with results like these, just imagine how well we'll do next year with familiarity in the system?

After facing this much adversity, bring it on.

Finally, I'm not a religious guy, but if you are, please keep Willis McGahee in your prayers. He's in my thoughts and I hope he has a speedy recovery -- we'll need him next year when we avenge our losses against the Steelers and charge deep in the playoffs.

Also, if you're a Steelers, Titans, Dolphins, Browns or Bengals fan, please stick around this offseason. We gotta keep tabs on everyone! ;)

No doubt, there was no one would thought we would make it this far, all the way to the AFC championship game..... Willis took a massive hit and they guy who threw it should be fined for helmet to helmet.

Hopefully everyone will send their prayers out for Willis McGahee tonight & may god be with him & make sure he is alright . God Bless Him.

Tonight Baltimore Ravens Running Back Willis McGahee Experienced What Every Football Player Fears Most . To Be Injured & Be Carted Off The Field In A Stretcher Because Of A Severe Neck Injury On The Field. Not Knowing If He Will Ever Play The Game He Love's And Played His Hardest To Be Able To Get Paid To Do The Thing That He Love's More Then Anything In The World & To Not Know If He Will Ever Be Able To Do This Again . So Please Tonight If You Could Find The Time To Say A Quick Prayer For Him & His Family That God Will Stand Beside Him & Help Him Get Past This & Be Ok.

Tonight Was A Sad Day For Baltimore & The Ravens Not Because Of Loosing The Chance At The Super Bowl But By Watching A Fellow Team Mate / Brother Get Carried Off The Field In Pain & Knowing There Is Nothing They Can Do To Help Their Fellow Brother / Team Mate Which Has To Be Something Only The Baltimore Ravens And His Family Can Truly Know How It Feels . I Am Not To Much Into Religion But I Do Believe In God & I Do Believe That God Will Be By His Side Tonight & As Long As It Takes For Him To Get Back To Normal.

Be Sure To Keep Willis McGahee In Your Prayers I Know Me & My Fiance Will. -John M Butler . Aka LuXX StaR.

It's Ok We Played Our Hearts Out This Season Atleast We Made It This Far There Is Always Next Year Guys...
GO RAVENS! YOU ARE STILL THE BEST TO ALL OF US.

I am proud of our Ravens and I am proud to be a Ravens fan. It hurts to come up short but this was special year. To Joe Flacco, Don't get down on yourself ( I am sure he won't). You are a big reason we had a game to play today. We will be back. Whats up with the dude wishing harm on someone. Yet another example of classless ignorant Steeler fan base. As much as I hate the Steelers I would never wish physical harm on anyone. Willis our prayers are with you. How many days till Camp.

After reading some of the classless posts by some of the lesser Steelers fans, I'm glad to know that there are at least a few that know how to be respectful and gracious. I too heard some of the fans wishing McGahee luck as he was being carted off the field. My wife is unfortunatly a Steelers fan but at least she had concern for him. I myself was glad Hines was out of the game but I was still hoping that he'll be okay to play if they went to the Super Bowl(which they are). I myself will be rooting for them. I am also praying that Willis will come out of this OK. With these experiences the Ravens will be a serious contender next year. Now it's time for me to go cry in my beer.
