Ravensnation mock 2.0

Round 1- Sidney Jones CB Washington

Jones has been probably the most steady in terms of draft stock. He's been ranked in the top 20 on a lot of boards for a while. He has no off the feild issues, is a hard worker and doesn't seem to have much of an injury history. You'd like to see him at 185lbs at the combine and run well to cement his stock.

- I could put Humphrey/Wilson here. I'm not sure how the ravens will dictate between the 3.

Round 2- Desmond King DB Iowa

Hey, if the board falls this way. Why not. We need more young dbs and although king needs work, he can still contribute on special teams and have a chance to learn behind Webb and weddle on his switch to safety. I think king and the ravens are just a dream cenario waiting to happen.

Round 3- Pat elfien C Ohio St

This is really anyone's guess. I have a feeling we should get someone who falls and elfien could be that guy. Especially with lamp and feeney showing the same versatility at C. Although I see elfien as a true center. I don't see him playing much guard at the next level. We could go another direction and get a powerful guard and just leave either zuttah or urchel at C. 2 great guards always help a center. So we'll see

Round 3 (comp) - Curtis Samuel RB/WR Ohio St

I'm not sure he'll fall this far but I think he's a 3rd rounder for sure. He has no true position and some teams will have a hard time finding him a spot on their team. His skills would mesh well with what our offense needs, and I think Roman will find a way to get him the ball in space like he did with McCoy.

4th round- Chris wormley DE Michigan

Of course we go with a Michigan guy. Why wouldn't we. He seems like a raven player and just adds good depth to our d line.

5th round- Ardarius Stewart WR Alabama

Is a bit underrated and made big plays at critical times for Alabama throughout his career. He's a good run blocker and can contribute on special teams.

6th round- Jalen Reeves-maybin LB Tennessee

His injury history seems to have him lower than he should be. He probably won't fall this far as a lot of my later round guys seem to be but itd be nice to grab this guy in rounds 4-7

7th round- trey Hendrickson edge FAU

Again, it's hard to judge how far guys will fall but I like what I've seen from this kid. He can definitely get to the qb and that will get him drafted

I would be very happy with this as our draft.  Getting two defensive backs at the top of our draft would be a big help next year , especially Jones and King. I would be surprised to see Worley and Stewart drop that far but stranger things have happened.

Ya. It's hard to judge were everyone goes rounds 4-7 really. A lot of those guys could go higher

I've had a hunch that the board might very well stack up to us taking two DBs first. I like Hones over the other two, but that is just personal preference. I think both those picks are realistic, but some others, not so much. Wormley will very very likely be gone by the third, perhaps even the beginning of the third.

I also think Samuel could be there in that round but could be a trade up guy, same goes for Eiflein because as a true center, I only really see Pocic rates ahead of him. Worst case he is the third, but nonetheless, if we could get Jones and King then somehow land Eiflein. I wouldn't care of the rest of the draft sucked lol, those will be talented guys.

I have said all along that this is my dream scenario..top tier corner in Round 1 and Desmond King in Round 2 (which it seems his stock is dropping just a bit...I think he would be a steal in the 2nd round)

i know a lot of y'all are seeing desmond king switch to safety but i dunno - i still really like him as a corner and as such would salivate all over those first two picks

i have lattimore ahead of jones on my board but i think jones is my favourite guy

pat elflein is a great pickup and i kinda like chris wormley and ardarius stewart

all around i'd love this draft although im not entirely sold on curtis samuel... the more i watch tape the more i want one of the wideouts who should go in the first 2 days but I'd be pretty over the moon with the first 3 picks here

Thanks man.  I'd love to see lattimore fall but I think he's a top 10 talent. I'd try and trade up for him if he falls out of the top 10 too. We need someone opposite Jimmy; all lattimore did at Ohio St was play left.

I feel like every NFL team is gonna rate their corners differently which makes me wonder how well rank ours. I know lattimore is most likely our #1 cause he fits in our defense perfectly. 2nd place is really between jones, tabor, wilson, humphrey, and even white in any order. They all do something different and they all have certain flaws. It's hard to judge

I like it.  Going with back to back DBs would be awesome, instead of the RB/WR in the third i would of went pass rusher, but overall id be extremely happy here, good job.

I don't think king is fluid enough of an athlete to be ranked to high. Table has all the tools to succeed and has much more potential as a CB. Kings good but his flaws in his feet and hips, and his lack of length all point to a switch at safety. He's got the ball skills to do it

Why so low on humphrey?

Sidney Jones is a great player, but I'm definitely not taking him if Lattimore or Wilson is still on the board. If they are both gone, I'll take that pick. Wormley in the 4th round is a pipe dream amoung pipe dreams. He is a borderline 1st rounder who a lot teams are reportedly really high on. Ardarius Stewart is also way too low. He got a second round grade from the advisory committee and remind me of a Landry or an OBJ (will go higher than his stats indicate). Hendrickson is flying up draft boards. He'll probably be viewed as a fringe day 2 prospect that more likely goes 4th round. I'm not sold on Reeves-Maybin due to his height and injury history. I think he goes undrafted. Really like the King and Eiflien picks, also very reasonable slots for those two.  All in all, like the first three picks, the rest is incredibly unrealistic.

Ya lattimore is gone in this cenario and it was really a toss up between Wilson and Jones. Jones just has more fan experience and seems more refined. I wasn't sure where wormley was pegged but I didn't know he was ranked that high. I thought he was a 3rd rounder all day, I picked him 4th cause I figured there Wil be some players who fall since this is a deep draft

It's pretty safe to pencil Wormley as a top 50 pick.
