Gostskowski could have ended that game in regulation with a winning free FG attempt. i was expecting Bill to show off how much smarter he is than the avg joe.

Great Game to watch as a outsider. We all Hate Brady but that is because he and Belichick are winners and it's no secret why, they simply outwork and compete at a level no other coaching staff/Qb dose. Belichick's drive, focus and knowledge of the x" and o's is on a level all of it's own... Man does not stop coaching including during the game one on one with players constantly talking the finer points of the game.

We witnessed the biggest collapse in a super bowl, not the greatest, in my opinion. We have to tip our hats to the Patriots. They took advantage of all opportunities, some earned, some given. Falcons gave them some with horrible play calling and the Refs gave them some with 9 penalties called on Falcons and only 4 called on Patriots which left the door open and Bill and Tom closed the door, so congrats.

Just remember, if the intentional face mask was called on the Patriots, which was so obvious that one wonders what the Refs intentions were or just plain incompetence. We will never know. The holding penalty would have offset and Atlanta could have attempted a field goal and probably win the game with a little over 3 minutes left.

I believe that is the big take away from the game, don't leave it in the hands of the refs when you have a chance to put any team away, especially the Patriots! See you all next season.

I believe the play you are referring to had offsetting face mask penalties from both players so the refs likely let it slide.

harbs and flacco have some work to do and i sure hope harbs understands how important it is to not allow your coordinators to go into safe mode when having a lead like atlanta did and like we did against the steelers. need to keep the foot on the gas pedal until the game is over like the patriots do and that is why they are the best

Come on man! Let's not keep living in the past. Its either our SB wins, or Ray Lewis or SSS or Ed Reed filling this site. Why can't we stop looking in the rear view mirror and focus instead on the road ahead? Yes it was a great stand but if it was a throw by Tom Brady instead of Kaepernik and it was Edelman instead of Crabtree, the outcome of that SB would be vastly different. Kaepernik overthrew the ball and that was that. We won they lost, end of story.

Yes I agree that is the play I was speaking about but letting that slide whether it should of been called on one or both players upheld the holding penalty and moved them back 10 yards and out of field goal range instead of offsetting and do over.  That should never happen and had a major impact on the outcome of the game.  Call the penalty on one or both but call the penalty, that is there job.  It would be interesting to actually have the refs explain if they actually did not see it or that they saw it and let it slide so Atlanta could be pushed back 10 yards. That would be a good question.
