UPDATED: MESSAGE BOARDS CLOSING AFTER DRAFT   03/08/2017

After careful consideration, we have decided that we will sunset our message boards after this year's NFL Draft. Since we opened our boards a decade ago, the digital landscape has greatly evolved. While we understand there remains a smaller group of highly-engaged fans who participate in conversation in our forums, a significant amount of the dialogue about our team and our games has migrated away to other social media platforms over the past several years. Our message boards will remain up and running through Friday, May 5th, and will be removed on May 6th. We recognize that this change may upset avid members of our community. However, we look to utilize our time and resources to focus on how we can best connect with our fans across an array of digital/social outlets. If you are not already engaging us and other members of the Ravens Flock on our Facebook page, Instagram account, through Twitter or Snapchat, we invite you to follow us on those channels and continue to participate in our social communities. In addition, the commenting feature on our website articles will remain intact. Members will be able to continue using their boards account to log in and share their thoughts at the bottom of every news story. We’d like to thank all the Flock members and our moderators who have brought thoughtful conversation to this space and made our community great for the last 10 years. Ravens Social Media Hub »

When are we going to give Carolina a new owner?

It's obvious that the game is over for the GM.

I say we take matter into our own hands and draft him all kickers.

Sucks to lose a promising, young CB with starting experience, but I've had a target in mind for some time now. Just to confirm, I am up, right?

Double Dipping on TEs?

What are you trying to pull here? a Belichick?

It could be a double down to make sure one of them turns out alright.

If both get developed, then Derek Carr is going to have a field day like Tom Brady back in 2011.

However, Bill Musgrave didn't use the TEs or even the RBs enough to make that offense very unpredictable, thus he is gone.

I wonder how Todd Downing will use the new pair of TEs.

Yeah, Engram is definitely worth a trade up.

Really good pick

Was torn between CB Awuzie or SS Obi Melifonwu, Berad help with that decision ;)

CB was my bigger need

Effectively just traded a mid round pick in rounds 3 4 5 7 and Ty nsekhe for amari cooper. Very happy.

Great trio with John ross and oj Howard.

That's a great point. Overall, very good value with those two moves combined. I'll miss Cooper as he's more in the mold of a prototypical starter with his size. But I was low on draft picks, and I have two taller receivers in Keenan Allen and Adam Thielen, so adding a speedster to the offense made sense. Just as adding a bigger body opposite of Ross made sense for you.

Yea think the swap of receivers helped both offenses a tonne.

Thank you kindly. I know that some teams view him more as a WR, but even then, his numbers, i.e. the 4.42, the 36 vertical were comparable to what you'd expect out of a wideout. I personally view him as a move-TE. He's so quick of his breaks, and he knows how to settle down in zones. For an upcoming rookie, I haven't seen his level of polish in the passing game in a while. The Jordan Reed comp has been thrown around everywhere, but that honestly could be most apropos mention. Mixing Engram with David Njoku would make for a interesting pair to watch as far as mismatches go, especially with Kyle Juszczyk in the backfield. I did take a slight bump down in swapping Cooper for Cooks, but he as well brings the element of speed, and I have a feeling that Derek Carr would be pleased with the surrounding talent.

Engram is gonna be a premiere player I think. He moves like a guy who's 5'10 180 but plays bigger than his 6'3 frame, prototype TE big body catching ability with wr style shiftiness. The focus drops will be annoying though

Hard to tell if he's a WR or a TE but one things for sure, he's gonna own the slot for the next decade.

Focus drops is probably the thing I worry the least for a WR. It's not bad hands, or an incapacity to make the catch like a Ted Ginn, it's just a lack of concentration here and there. When there's a tough catch that needs to be made, he makes it, that's the important thing.

Glad to have you on board there. Agreed on the focus drops.

Agreed. All the best and most freakish receivers tend to have focus drops, TO, moss, Andre Johnson, megatron, Julio, amari cooper, odb, honestly aj green is the only one I can think of that doesn't have pretty regular focus drops.

I've always been on board with engram, haven't been shy about announcing him as one of my favorite players in this whole class lol

To your point above, Brandon Marshall has been one of the poster boys for highlighting the best and worst sides of focus drops. His career has shown that focus drops can follow a player throughout the years but that they can be muffled with stellar play in-between them.

That's definitely a relief to hear, and I can see why he would be.

Not like him to not check in

I agree. Also surprised he didn't pass his board off, given he had one specific player in mind. He's usually pretty good about that

I'm assuming you have it now.  It's just two guys now, but we should be good.  I'll be done with work before time expires if not.
