@arnie_uk yes I'll sort out the thread once we start getting some more of the depth charts up.

If I use the special cut/trade rule (no dead money) on a player with negative Cap savings, do I save the cap nummer (= cap hit) or just the base salary?

Just the base salary.

If someone wants to quickly check my math for my starting cap i'd appreciate it, took my #'s from spotrac for each category.

I still can't believe the Jets were the last team taken.  They're a relatively easy fix IMO and have good draft position.

No, you would have to get 32 people to comply to that, something that's borderline impossible(when I go out with my usual group of 4 friends we can never agree on anything), and they all (except for @52520Andrew) have lives that they have to live, and live in time zones, there is literally no chance of this working. @arnie_uk lives in Europe. I live in Colorado and am two hours behind all of you. You live in Texas, which if I recall correctly is also in a time zone. Not to mention, most of us are either attending university, or have jobs. It's busy season in the corporate world, and is exam season in the student world. People(myself included) have things to do.

It's a good idea in theory, especially for a game with a shorter duration as @-Truth- has suggested, but this would not work at all with our setting of the game.

Fair enough. I don't think it's as complicated as that sounds, but I just wanted to suggest an efficient method I've used before just in case

I was thinking about being lazy this year and trying to do it without my nice spreadsheet, but I dunno if I have it in me to not do it.

Just checking so not to do this wrong.

For working out stars for players we go of the cap number

When trading a player the buyer pays the base salary, the seller recieves back the cap savings

This is correct

Since we have decided to continue using  spotrac.com you go to cap hit - dead cap and the round up to nearest half star.

I.e. Richard Sherman cap hit 13,631,000 - dead cap 9,400,000 = 4,231,000 or 4 star savings.

The player receiving the player takes on ONLY the base salary.  I.e., shermans base salary is 11,431,000 or 11.5 stars

Hope this helps.  There is another example in the rules thread as well.

In other words, you are accepting offers for Sherman...

Shouldn't take too long. All the needed values are already clearly stated along the side

Due to some errors with OTC, we are indeed moving back over to Spotrac.  Sorry we didn't clarify that.

For those of you that have sent your emails in and have access to the spreadsheet, you're going to be using the full active spending, NOT just the top 51 active spending.  The spreadsheet is designed to take off 0.5 stars for every player over the 51 limit.  I have all of the numbers in a spreadsheet and will be checking/editing those cap starts.

Feel free to use this to add in your numbers.  They are updated and final as of today for all but the New York Giants.  I beat the Jennings cut but was a touch too late for the Cruz cut.

Quick question: How do we handle suspended players for the game? I'm asking because Daryl Washington is still on the payroll of the Cards and as of now it's unclear (though unlikely) if he will be reinstated (or if he even wants to) and so on. If roster are locked concerning that aspect as well then how does it affect the cap?

Lol. I actually was going to say at the end of the post that Sherman isn't available.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to email. Is it in the rules thread? Is there a place where I can find all announcements like this?

Just PM your email to myself or Truth. I'm updating the rule thread tomorrow.

You need to send your email address to rmw10, -Truth- or RavensFanMania in the PM, so one of them can grant edit access to your team's SoF sheet in that spreadsheet.

Trade and cut threads will be open tomorrow. Don't forget to PM one of the CoCo with your email address so we can add you to the SoF doc.

Quoted for importance. Remember fellas, you can't post or confirm any trades unless your SoF is up to date and your depth chart is posted and updated.

I've been working at a client in a cellular dead zone that has no internet, so I may be a bit show on this until Wednesday when I'm back at the office. I'm trying to at least respond when I can.

If you're talking about spacing in posts here, <Shift>+<Enter> will move you to the next line with less spacing.
